The massive tech company just released its search stats from 2024 ... and when it comes to sports, Mike and Jake's names were right near the top.

Mike came in at No. 2 worldwide ... while El Gallo landed at No. 5.

Caitlin Clark's 2024 is going to be hard to top ... she was just named Time's Athlete of the Year -- and it turns out, she became pals with Taylor Swift in the last 12 months, too!

The WNBA superstar revealed her budding friendship with TayTay in a recent interview with Time ... after the outlet proclaimed she was its top sportsperson of '24.

Clark told the publication she attended back-to-back "Eras" tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium last month ... and Swift showed the 22-year-old some big love at the events.

The baby will arrive in May 2025 ... and it's another girl. As we previously reported, Sarah Jane gave birth to their first kiddo, Margaret Jane "MJ" Rose, in February ... and her birthday happens to fall on leap day.

Cade York isn't just winning on the football field, he's also crushing it at life ... 'cause shortly after his Cincinnati Bengals secured a victory on "Monday Night Football," he shared a kiss with his Dallas Cowboys cheerleader girlfriend!!

Jake Paul claims Tommy Fury turned down a LOT of money to meet in the ring again ... saying TNT "ran away from" an $8 million offer to set up a rematch.

El Gallo's brother, Logan, recently went on his "Impaulsive" podcast and accused Tommy of ducking another bout with Jake ... and after Fury got wind of it all, he fired back with a video of his own on Tuesday.

"I just wanted to come on here and say that no one is running from that fight," Tommy said. "I beat you once already and handed you your first loss. The minute you stepped in and fought a real boxer, you lost fair and square."

Jason Kelce can officially move on from the phone-smashing incident at Penn State last month ... as University Police tell TMZ Sports they've closed the investigation into the incident.

A spokeswoman for the department told us the case has been closed, as "The individual in the video footage circulating on social media has not been identified, and no one has come forward to University Police with a related complaint about damage to personal property."

The viral incident occurred when a "fan" approached the Eagles legend and shouted at him, "Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f***** for dating Taylor Swift."

3:44 PM PT -- Kelce's remarks on the city of Dallas reached Mayor Eric L. Johnson, who told TMZ Sports he's laughin' it off.

"We have to consider that this may have been meant as a compliment from the guy who is most famous for leading the ‘Tush Push'," Mayor Johnson said.

"Or perhaps he has spent too much time at the bottom of piles to recognize a city on the rise. As we say here in Texas, bless his heart."

We caught up with the Gooden -- who spent time with both clubs during his career -- after Soto inked a 15-year $765 million deal with the Metropolitans ... and he says the narrative about the team in Queens is about to be a thing of the past.

"The first time I heard it, Reggie Jackson said it," Gooden said. "I have nothing against the Yankees, but I was somewhat offended by it. I understood what he meant by that, saying that the Mets are little brother, but now things are starting to change."

Kate Upton had her fans concerned last month after posting a worrisome scenario to her Instagram ... but the SI Swimsuit legend is now clarifying the details of the note, saying it had nothing to do with her husband, MLB star Justin Verlander.

As we previously reported, Upton asked her followers about a situation involving a 10-year-old girl traveling with her intoxicated dad ... the father threatens a taxi driver with a gun "if he does not drop them off on the highway at midnight to walk home."

Upton then speculated whether the described scene was an emergency or crime and how "lawyers/judges/advocates/law enforcement/parents" would feel about the matter... but did not explain what exactly was going on until Monday.

The Ohio State athletic department just announced a member of its men's soccer team was a victim in an off-campus shooting on Saturday ... revealing the student-athlete is currently surrounded by family members after receiving medical treatment.

The school said redshirt junior Nathan Demian was shot following the team's match against Wake Forest ... but made it clear he is not a suspect in the criminal investigation, nor was he involved in any sort of altercation prior to the incident.

"The soccer program is thankful for the incredible university support and medical care available to Nathan and his family during this difficult time," the athletic department said in a statement.

Juan Soto is a Met ... and actor/diehard New York fan Nick Turturro is summarizing how Yankee supporters are handling the news -- going absolutely nuts on the MLB superstar in a passionate video reaction.

Jack Del Rio had a miserable night in handcuffs following his OWI arrest last month ... TMZ Sports has obtained police video showing he begged an officer to let him "take a leak" -- before he repeatedly screamed and moaned in pain while in the back of a squad car.

The scene all unfolded in Madison, Wisc. back on Nov. 8, after Del Rio had allegedly rammed his vehicle through a person's fence ... and then attempted to flee the area on foot.

Cops say they were able to catch up to the former NFL head coach on a street near the crash site -- and in a police report, officers wrote he reeked of booze.

It's not even playoff time yet, but the Vikings have already taken the crown for best celebrations ... with Cam Bynum, along with teammate Josh Metellus, knockin' it out of the park with another epic choreographed dance -- this time from the White Chicks movie!

The hilarious moment went down on Sunday during the Vikings vs. Falcons game at U.S. Bank Stadium ... moments after Metellus picked off Kirk Cousins in the second quarter.

The Vikings' defense ran to the end zone after the interception to celebrate, and that's when the two safeties came together to perform the dance-off scene from the 2004 movie.

If you haven't seen the movie (it's hilarious), two FBI agents, played by Marlon and Shawn Wayans, go undercover as white girls ... and at one point, get into a dance battle against the Vandergeld Sisters, the movie's antagonists, at a nightclub.
