Daniel Jones' time with the New York Football Giants is over -- the organization just released the former first-round pick at the quarterback's request.

The surprising news was announced on Friday ... just days after the 27-year-old lost his starting job amid a 2-8 record on the 2024-25 season.

Giants president John Mara said Jones met with him this morning and asked to be released ... and both sides felt it was the right move.

A watch belonging to Travis Kelce was reportedly recovered nearly 1,400 miles from his home ... with authorities hunting down the timepiece amid an investigation into the Kansas City Chiefs superstar's recent break-in.

ABC News is reporting Kelce's item was found in Providence, Rhode Island as officials try to get to the bottom of a slew of burglaries at the homes of several professional athletes -- including Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Linval Joseph.

It's unclear if Kelce's watch was taken during the Oct. 7 burglary TMZ Sports first reported  ... as according to police documents we obtained, only $20,000 was reported missing following the break-in.

Dee Devlin -- Conor McGregor's longtime partner -- showed up to an Ireland court on Friday to support the UFC superstar as he continues to fend off a sexual assault lawsuit.

The 36-year-old fighter has been facing his accuser, a judge and a jury in the civil case throughout November... as a trial over the allegations first began back on the fifth.

Teen rodeo champ Walker Smith is fighting for his life in a hospital after the 17-year-old bull rider was stopped by the raging animal, stomping on his chest and collapsing both his lungs.

The frightening accident happened last Friday when Smith -- the 2022 Junior Bull Riding Champion -- rode a bull at the Space Coast State Fair in Melbourne, Florida.

During his three-second ride, the bull bucked, sending the teenager to the ground ... when the 1,200+ pound bull trampled him.

Smith, who started riding bulls at 12 years old, walked off ... but was then airlifted to the hospital with two collapsed lungs and brain bleeding.

UConn's live goat gift to Geno Auriemma on Wednesday night has infuriated animal rights activists ... with PETA telling TMZ Sports it didn't think the scene was cool at all.

Officials for the organization said in a statement to us on Thursday it was apparent to them the goat was under duress as a handler brought it onto the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion court to celebrate Auriemma's 1,217th career victory.

PETA claimed the goat "was visibly anxious" -- and to make matters worse, it said the person leading it "either didn't notice or didn't care that his collar was digging into his neck."
