Brett Favre's new doc, 'Concussed,' drops Tuesday -- chronicling the journey of late former player, Tyler Sash, as well as the football legend -- a film the retired Packers great desperately hopes will shine a light on the effects of head trauma in the NFL.

54-year-old Favre, who has long been a proponent of keeping players safe while on the field, served as an Executive Producer on "Concussed: The American Dream."

While Brett's story is well-known -- he was as tough as they come on the field -- the documentary also highlights the plight of Sash, ex-New York Giants safety, who died in 2015 from a drug overdose two years after he was released by the G-Men.

Oscar De La Hoya and Holly Sonders are turning their raunchy dance video into a PSA of sorts ... calling on everyone who tuned into it to get their prostates and boobs checked out.

TMZ Sports obtained a response clip from the power couple after they made headlines for shakin' it for all to see in Mexico last week ... and they say the whole thing was part of a bigger plan to get everyone's attention for a good cause -- the "Tanga and Ta-tas awareness program.

"So a lot of you thought we were crazy with the first video that we made, but all we really wanted to do was bring awareness to the ta-tas and to the peckers, because it is that time of  year for you to get a prostate exam and a mammogram," a bikini-clad Sonders said in the video.

Murphy, just released a statement to TMZ Sports ... saying, "Today, Mr. Mahomes entered a guilty plea in his case pursuant to a written plea agreement. Our client is now living a sober life, and we believe that the steps he has taken to better his life have helped us negotiate a plea recommendation for probation."

"However," Murphy added, "our client is set for sentencing on September 23rd, and it would be inappropriate for us to comment on this matter further until after the court has assessed the sentence in the case."

Patrick Mahomes Sr. -- the father of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes -- has just pleaded guilty to a felony driving while intoxicated charge.

Court records show the 54-year-old -- a former MLB pitcher -- entered the plea on Tuesday morning ... just before he was slated to go to trial in the case in Smith County, Texas. The charge was officially DWI third or more.

Details surrounding the agreement Mahomes Sr. cut with prosecutors in the case were not made immediately available -- we reached out to the Smith County prosecutors, but they declined to comment. A message to Mahomes Sr.'s attorney, meanwhile, has not yet been returned.

Phoenix Mercury hooper Sophie Cunningham channeled her inner "Love Island" contestant prior to Monday night's game ... rocking a tiny dress and showing off her tan lines!!

Travis and Jason Kelce's bank accounts are reaching "new heights" -- 'cause the pair of NFL brothers just inked a lucrative, new podcast deal worth more than $100 million.

Reports of the contract were made public on Tuesday ... stating the Kelce bros. reached a three-year contract with Amazon's Wondery for ad sales and distribution rights, according to Variety.

The deal will officially kick in on Wednesday ... right before the start of the 2024-25 NFL season.
