The "Liar" crooner -- who was the guest musical performer for Saturday night's event at Cleveland Browns Stadium -- faced off against the A-Town Down Under tag team ... after Austin Theory and Grayson Waller trashed the home crowd and name-dropped JR in the process.

But to the duo's surprise, the 39-year-old artist didn't take the diss lightly ... as he snuck in the ring from behind and hit both guys with a steel chair.

It's time to start buying into the Cooper Flagg hype if ya haven't already ... 'cause NBA star Jaime Jaquez Jr. tells TMZ Sports that after playing with the phenom this summer, he's the real deal.

Flagg -- the No. 1-ranked H.S. player in the nation in the 2024 class -- and Jaquez Jr. teamed up to help prep America's men's national squad for the Olympics in early July ... and Flagg put on a show.

"I need more, I'm not complacent," Priest said. "I'm the world heavyweight champ, but now what can I do? Can I be one of the greatest champions? Can I defeat every major Superstar, can I main event and continuously belong in that spot? Those are the things that matter to me now. Can I build a resume that can be Hall of Fame worthy?"

Khabib Nurmagomedov is arguably the greatest ever to grace an MMA cage, so with Deiveson Figueiredo training with the undefeated former UFC champion ahead of his fight with Marlon Vera, we asked "Chito" if he was concerned with the Brazilian star's secret weapon.

The Los Angeles Lakers honored Kobe Bryant with the second of three statues to memorialize the Hall of Famer on Friday ... with the most recent iteration featuring his daughter, Gianna.

Pics of the final product were leaked outside Crypto.com Arena on Friday. The sculpture replicates the image of Kobe and Gianna sitting courtside at a Laker game in December 2019.

Purple and Gold flowers surround the monument -- with a plaque featuring a quote from Bryant describing his daughter and how proud he was to be a girl dad.
