The Giants organization will honor the late great Willie Mays on Monday ... with the entire San Francisco squad rocking the MLB icon's number 24 jersey as they take the field against the Cubs!

"Tonight, all uniformed #SFGiants personnel will wear 24 in honor of Willie Mays 🧡" ... the team announced on social media this afternoon, along with a photo of several jerseys as they hung in players' lockers.

The 36-42 SFG are playing the 37-41 CHC at Oracle Park in the Bay.

JJ Redick is a content creator no more -- the Los Angeles Lakers head coach just announced he's putting his podcasting career on hold after accepting his new gig with the Purple and Gold.

The former NBA sharp-shooter revealed the status of his "Mind The Game" podcast with LeBron James during his introductory press conference on Monday ... and it's bad news for fans of the show.

"For the time being, and hopefully it's a very, very long time, I am excommunicated from the content space," Redick said minutes ago. "There will be no podcasts. We'll do something when I have a breather from what we have coming up -- I'm gonna be drinking from a fire hose for the next month."

Isaiah Buggs' tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs is over after just a few months ... as the team officially released the 27-year-old player following his second offseason arrest.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero broke the news Monday morning ... saying the Chiefs decided it was best to move on from the troubled defensive tackle.

Isaiah was arrested back on June 17 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. after being accused of breaking into a woman's house and dragging her down the stairs.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, the bloody incident happened at around 3:40 AM at a Love's Travel Stop in Kansas City, Mo.

Authorities say 2 Cold Scorpio -- aka Charles Scaggs -- told them he was working as a security guard at the store ... when he saw a man who had lit up a cigarette inside of the establishment.

We ran into 25-year-old Garcia, who was out in Los Angeles Friday afternoon, where we asked Ryan about the punishment levied by the New York state athletic commission, whether he was truly retired, and if he was serious about fighting MMA.
