Paul George Suffers Knee Sprain Vs. Thunder

UPDATE

11:50 AM PT -- Great news ... Paul George did not suffer a serious injury -- ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday that testing showed the Clippers star sprained his knee and could only miss around 2-3 weeks.

UPDATE

George tweeted Wednesday morning that he was appreciative to all of the fans who had reached out following the scary scene Tuesday night.

Scary moment for Paul George on Tuesday night ... he suffered a gnarly knee injury in the Clippers' game against the Thunder -- and his status going forward is now in question.

George hurt his leg in the fourth quarter of the contest against OKC -- as he was coming down from grabbing a rebound.

Broadcast cameras showed when he landed on the court, he awkwardly bumped into Luguentz Dort ... causing his knee to bend backward.

The 32-year-old immediately crumpled to the court in pain. Trainers tended to him for several minutes, before they helped him off the floor. George didn't appear able to put any pressure on the leg.

Clips head coach Ty Lue didn't have much of an update on his star after the game -- but, reportedly, George was seen leaving Crypto.com Arena on a cart with his leg locked in an extended position.

Of course, George is no stranger to severe injuries ... back in 2014, he suffered a gruesome broken leg while playing for Team USA. The knee he injured Tuesday was a part of that same leg, though the two ailments don't appear to be related.

The Clippers ended up losing the game without George -- and they'll certainly need him moving forward if they want to avoid more of that ... they're currently in a fight with seven or eight other teams vying for some of the last spots in the playoffs.

Get well soon, PG.

WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss Reveals Skin Cancer Diagnosis ... Recovering After Removal

Scary news for Alexa Bliss ... the WWE superstar says she was recently diagnosed with skin cancer, and now she's urging everyone to "get your skin checked!"

Bliss revealed the diagnosis this week, saying she had a biopsy done on a spot on her face that'd "gotten worse," and the test showed it was basal cell carcinoma.

FYI, an estimated 3.6 million cases of basal cell carcinoma are diagnosed each year, according to the Skin Care Foundation. SCF says the cancer is curable if detected and treated early.

Bliss says she then had a "quick and easy procedure" to remove the cancer. Alexa says doctors also discovered squamous cells, another form of carcinoma, which is often the result of too much UV light, according to Mayo Clinic.

"Dear younger me," Bliss wrote on social media after the procedure, "you should have stayed out of tanning beds."

But, in the end, it's good news for Alexa!

"All clear now though! Thank you @americanskininstitute for taking care of me!

Bliss also reassured fans she'll be fine and back in no time ... writing, "Don’t worry, short healing time. Always get your skin checked! Esp if you are in the sun or use tanning beds! Lol"

Bliss hasn't been seen on WWE programming since she lost to Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair at the Royal Rumble in January ... but Alexa has denied rumors she's on a hiatus from the company.

"Tired of seeing these tweets," Bliss tweeted on March 10. "I am not on a hiatus. They know where to find me."

Kevin Garnett Kobe's Death Made Me Reconcile W/ Ray ... 'I Got Off The Bulls***'

Kevin Garnett revealed he squashed his beef with former teammate Ray Allen because of Kobe Bryant ... saying the tragic and unexpected death of the NBA icon made him realize life's too short to be angry.

Quick refresher ... Allen, KG, and Paul Pierce were teammates with the Boston Celtics, where they won the NBA title together in 2008.

However, their Big 3 was split up when Ray left for the Miami Heat in 2012 ... a move that really pissed off KG, who felt some type of way when the 10-time All-Star chose their conference rival over him and Paul.

"What made the Ray situation so prolific with us is because the structure we built in Boston, the three of us built that," Garnett told Kevin Hart on his "Cold as Balls" show this week. "So if it was one team we had an issue with, it was Miami."

"I wasn't looking at it like, better business decision for Ray, [or] Ray has a chance to get another ring -- I ain't take on none of that! I was in my own feelings!"

But, when Kobe passed away on January 26, 2020, it changed Garnett's whole mindset ... culminating with the former friends turned enemies coexisting together, peacefully, at the NBA's 75th Anniversary event, as well as hugging it out at KG's jersey retirement ceremony in 2022.

“The passing of Kob and all of us getting older helped me understand that life is not given to none of us," the hooper said.

"It would have f***ed with me if something were to happen to Ray and I didn’t get a chance to amend this."

"I got off the bulls***."

Of course, Allen -- who ended up winning a 2nd championship with MIA -- always said there was no beef on his end ... and he loves Garnett and the 5 years he was on the Celtics.

Dak Prescott New Ink For 2023 ... Huge Leg Tat With Kobe, Ali Tributes!!!

Dak Prescott's plant leg just got a whole lot better lookin' -- TMZ Sports has learned the Dallas Cowboys superstar got it tatted over the weekend ... with tributes to his mom, brother, Kobe Bryant and more.

The quarterback hit up Andres Ortega out at Onder Ink in Arizona just days after his star wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb, got a back piece done by the artist -- and Prescott came away from the shop with a massive new tattoo.

The artwork covers nearly his entire right leg -- and it features a ton of imagery that's near and dear to the 29-year-old's heart.

The picture of the moose is a nod to his brother, Jace, who died by suicide in 2020. The photo of a Pegasus honors his mother, Peggy, who passed away from cancer in 2013.

The tattoo also pays homage to several sports icons -- there's images of a Black Mamba for Kobe, a Jumpman logo for Michael Jordan ... and a picture of Muhammad Ali.

The tat also features Daffy Duck doing Dak's signature touchdown celebration; Dallas' skyline; and a sign from the Pine Creek Estates mobile home park in Louisiana where Prescott grew up.

Ortega tells us it all took about 10 hours to complete ... and the artist says Prescott loved it.

Forget the champagne and cigars ... Shohei Ohtani turned to Budweisers to celebrate winning the World Baseball Classic -- getting soaked in the beer in an epic locker room celebration with Team Japan!!

The party all went down at LoanDepot Park in Miami late Tuesday night ... after the Angels superstar helped lift his home country to a 3-2 victory over USA.

Just after he struck out his L.A. teammate, Mike Trout, to lock down the W ... he and the rest of Japan's roster hit the locker room -- and cracked open Bud Heavy after Bud Heavy after Bud Heavy.

Check out footage from the scene ... Ohtani and the guys doused each other with the beer -- and loved every second of it.

There did appear to be at least some champagne in the mix, too, and there were plenty of smiles and dancing. Even St. Louis Cardinals star Lars Nootbaar could be seen splashing suds everywhere!!

Of course, Shohei and Team Japan had every right to party hard ... Ohtani dominated the tournament both at the plate and on the mound, winning MVP -- while his team never lost a single game.

No word when the guys turned in ... but the MLB season doesn't start 'til next Thursday -- so we're sure it wasn't exactly an early bedtime.

Congrats!!!!

Draymond Green Rips 'Nosy, 'Disgusting' People ... For Spreading Wiggins Rumors

Draymond Green is speaking out on the rumors surrounding his teammate Andrew Wiggins ... saying it doesn't matter if it's true or not, the "nosy" and "disgusting" people need to mind their business.

Wiggins -- who was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2020 -- stepped away from the team after their Feb. 13 game (right before the All-Star break) due to a personal matter.

The situation is really intense, according to an anonymous player, who told The Athletic, "What he’s dealing with is some real s***."

Rumors about Wiggins' absence have been circulating social media ... and Green, his teammate, has seen some of what's been said, and he's pissed.

"I'm not here to say whether it's true or false. I don't know -- not my business!!" Green said Tuesday on his podcast. "But point being, it's not yours either!!"

"Like y'all are so thirsty to know what's going on in someone's life that THAT becomes the thing?!"

The 4-time NBA champ continued to rip those spreading rumors without evidence -- calling them insane and disgusting for investigating Wiggins' personal life.

"That's insane!! That's nuts!! The fact that people are so nosy and so consumed on what someone else do in their life, not basketball, in their life that THAT is the story ... with no confirmation of nothing?! Sometimes people disgust me," the 33-year-old said.

"I don't think it matters for the world to ever know if it is [true] or isn't."

Wiggins has yet to respond to any of the gossip ... but his girlfriend, Mychal Johnson, recently tweeted, "Literally the farthest thing from the truth. It’s sad y’all even doing this."

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said at last week's press conference that he hopes Wiggins comes back soon.

Gisele On Tom Brady Football Didn't Break Us Up ... One Piece Of 'Much Bigger Puzzle'

Gisele Bündchen says her marriage with Tom Brady was on the rocks long before he went back and forth on his football future ... claiming his career was just one of their problems that led to "the death of my dream."

The 42-year-old supermodel addressed the rumors surrounding her breakup from the 7-time Super Bowl champion in an interview with Vanity Fair ... and she denied ever forcing Brady to choose between their marriage and his profession -- calling the reports "the craziest thing I've ever heard."

In fact, Gisele said she will always support Brady in whatever makes him happy ... and she wants "all his dreams to come true."

While Gisele is rebutting any sort of ultimatum, she is not flat-out denying football had anything to do with their split -- "What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle," she told the outlet. "It’s not so black and white."

Gisele explained the two started to grow apart from who they were and what they wanted when they met in their late 20s ... and they ultimately had different visions for their future.

"When you love someone, you don’t put them in a jail and say, 'You have to live this life,'" Gisele said. "You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that’s amazing."

"We’re not playing against each other. We are a team ... and that’s beautiful. I look back and I have no regrets. I loved every bit of it."

As for her dating life, Gisele shot down reports she's seeing billionaire Jeffrey Soffer ... saying the guy is Tom's friend, and she believes the story was planted to make her look bad.

Gisele also addressed spending a ton of time on vacation with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente ... and while she did not specifically say whether or not they were romantically involved, she opened up about how important the practice is for her entire family.

Conor McGregor Shows Off Ripped Bod ... Steamy Bathroom Selfie!!!

Conor McGregor sure appears ready for a fight later this summer ... he just posted a shirtless selfie showing off his bod -- and he looks GOOOOOOD!!!!

The UFC superstar shared the pic from his bathroom on his social media page late Tuesday night -- wearing nothing but a towel.

In the snap, which seemed to be taken just after he had gotten out of the shower, McGregor showed off some massive biceps, huge traps, and chiseled pecs.

The 34-year-old knew he looked good too ... 'cause in true McGregor fashion, he dropped a hilarious caption with the pic.

"I smell so good," he wrote, "you moan a little if I hug you."

Conor hasn't fought since he suffered a gruesome broken leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 -- but he's clearly been keeping himself in shape regardless of no planned matches the past two years.

McGregor is expected to scrap with Michael Chandler at some point in the next few months, though -- and he wrote on his Twitter page Tuesday he's actually going to be commencing fight camp in Big Bear "shortly."

Ring rust will be a worry whenever he gets back into the octagon -- but one thing is clear, his body sure as hell looks ready for the fight.

Blue Jays Star Vladimir Guerrero Tricks Out Benz For MLB Season!!!

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be cruising into the MLB season in some serious style this year ... TMZ Sports has learned the Blue Jays superstar just got his Mercedes-Benz tricked out!!!

The Toronto first baseman took his GLE63 -- an expensive ride that he copped about a year ago -- to Alex Vega at The Auto Firm in South Florida to get the work done ... and it came out awesome.

Vega blacked out the vehicle -- wrapping it, before darkening its chrome emblems. He also upgraded its wheels too ... throwing on a set of Avorza Forged Wheels.

In total, we're told the work Vladdy got typically runs around $50K!!

Of course, these were not the first improvements Guerrero Jr. has made on the whip -- about six months ago, Vega also threw in some Blue Jays-colored interior in it as well.

If you're wondering, while he's still just 24 years old, Vladdy can definitely afford the upgrades ... he agreed to a $14.5 million pact with Toronto to avoid arbitration this offseason.

Opening Day for the Jays is set for March 30 -- but Vlad will have to wait to debut his new-look ride at Rogers Centre for a couple more weeks ... as Toronto's home opener isn't slated to begin until April 11.

Shohei Ohtani Pitches In WBC ... Strikes Out Trout To Win It All!!!

UPDATE

7:57 PM PT -- The World Baseball Classic ended up coming down to Shohei Ohtani vs. Mike Trout after all ... and the pitcher got the better of the hitter -- winning the tournament for Japan.

UPDATE

Ohtani came in to start the top of the ninth with a 3-2 lead. He walked Jeff McNeil, but then induced a double play -- bringing up the moment every baseball fan wanted to see ... him vs. Trout with the WBC on the line.

UPDATE
UPDATE

The guys battled to a 3-2 count ... but Ohtani ended up striking his Angels teammate out -- locking down the victory. He then celebrated like crazy with his teammates.

UPDATE

Japan never lost once in its run to the title. Congrats!!!

Shohei Ohtani has been cleared by the Angels to pitch in the World Baseball Classic final against Team USA on Tuesday night ... paving the way for a potential dream matchup against Mike Trout in the championship game.

The Halos star last threw for Japan in the tourney on March 16 against Italy ... and many thought that would be his last time on the mound in the huge baseball event -- as he's still ramping up his right arm in preparation for the 2023 MLB season.

But, with Japan beating Mexico in a thriller on Monday night -- Ohtani expressed interest in appearing in relief for his home country against America in the finale ... and Angels brass said on Tuesday morning they'd allow it to go down if the opportunity arises.

Of course, there is risk involved. Ohtani has never thrown on just four days rest ... and he is less than five years removed from Tommy John surgery. Plus, he's expected to also bat in the heart of Japan's lineup for the entirety of the contest too.

But LA general manager Perry Minasian told reporters he'd be comfortable if Ohtani needed to throw an inning or so to help his team secure a WBC win.

"He's the last guy on planet Earth I'm worried about," Minasian said. "He's going to be prepared. He's going to have an idea of what he needs to do. If he does decide to pitch, I have the utmost confidence he will be ready to pitch and be fine."

Manager Phil Nevin echoed Minasian's comments ... saying he was fired up over the possibility of seeing Ohtani vs. Trout on the big stage.

"Who wouldn't want to see the two best players in the world go at it, right?" he said. "Then we'd have a lot of fun talking about it the rest of the year."

Ohtani -- who some believe could sign a $500 MILLION contract next offseason -- is currently scheduled to be the Angels' Opening Day starter on March 30.

The WBC final, meanwhile, kicks off in just a couple hours at 7 p.m. ET in Miami.

NBA Honoring Willis Reed ... W/ Leaguewide Moment Of Silence

Willis Reed will be honored by the NBA tonight ... with the Association holding a leaguewide moment of silence for the late Knicks legend, TMZ Sports has learned.

Our sources tell us there will be a pause to reflect on the Hall of Famer's passing prior to the tipoff of all six scheduled games Tuesday night.

Some of the games on tonight's slate include the Celtics vs. Kings and Cavaliers vs. Nets.

The Knicks don't play ... they're back in action on Wednesday, when they'll face the Heat.

Of course, Reed died at the age of 80 on Tuesday after battling health issues, including congestive heart failure.

Willis was a beloved figure, especially in New York, and news of his death rocked the league.

Commissioner Adam Silver released a statement addressing Reed's passing, calling him "the ultimate team player and consummate leader."

In fact, Silver said his first NBA memories were of watching Willis as a young boy.

"My earliest and fondest memories of NBA basketball are of watching Willis, who embodied the winning spirit that defined the New York Knicks’ championship teams in the early 1970s.  He played the game with remarkable passion and determination, and his inspiring comeback in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals remains one of the most iconic moments in all of sports," the statement read in part.

In addition to the moment of silence, it's all but guaranteed the Knicks will also honor their Captain.

Rest in peace.

DEALING WITH STRESS

Ja Morant is adamantly denying he has a drinking problem after the NBA concluded he was intoxicated when he flashed a gun on Instagram earlier this month ... telling reporters alcohol was NOT the reason he entered a counseling program.

Morant spoke publicly for the first time since rejoining the Grizzlies this week -- and the Memphis superstar was asked if alcohol played a role in his decision-making that ultimately led to his eight-game suspension.

MORANT ON LIVE

"Never had an alcohol problem," Morant said. "I didn't go there for alcohol. I went there for counseling. To learn how to manage stress and cope with stress in a positive way, instead of ways how I tried to deal with it before that caused me to make mistakes."

"[The] only problem with me right now is just getting into a space mentally that I'm very comfortable in and I feel good at. That's why I made the decision to take time away and go to counseling. That helped me learn a lot of things."

Ja said he contemplated stepping away from the NBA before he was engulfed in drama ... admitting he was afraid to leave the team. But the two-time All-Star says he's glad he made the decision to address his mental health.

Morant -- who was on the bench for Memphis on Monday, but didn't play in the game against the Mavs -- said now that he's back around his teammates, he's focused on improving himself and working toward getting back out there on the court.

Memphis head coach Taylor Jenkins told reporters Tuesday he anticipates Morant will play Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets -- but the 23-year-old phenom described his status as "still in the air."

Richard Jefferson Police Still Hoping To Solve Dad's Homicide Case ... Offer $20,000 Reward

Police still have not cracked the case involving the 2018 killing of Richard Jefferson's father ... but now, they're hoping a big monetary reward can help change that.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. Lt. Patricia Thomas said on Tuesday they're offering $20,000 to anyone who can assist them in solving the four-year-old case.

Thomas told reporters at a news conference she and investigators believe there are people still out there who saw the suspects that shot 65-year-old Richard Jefferson Sr. in Compton, CA back on Sept. 19, 2018.

CALLING ON THE PUBLIC

She said investigators believe a car full of gang members fired on the former NBA player's father while he was talking with neighbors -- mistakenly thinking he was part of a rival gang.

Thomas urged anyone with info to call the homicide bureau at 323-890-5500.

Jefferson Sr.'s brother, Kenneth, also spoke at the news conference -- and pleaded for anyone with information to come forward as well.

"He was a brother," Kenneth said of Jefferson Sr. "He was a son. He was a father. He was a grandfather, who was very much loved."

Naomi Osaka Check Out My Baby Bump!!! ... All Smiles In Japan

Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka showed off a new fashion accessory while hanging around her home country of Japan this week ... posting a few pics of her growing baby bump!!

25-year-old Osaka -- who announced back in January she was expecting her first child -- was smiling from ear-to-ear in her Instagram post on Tuesday ... which is a rare public appearance for the athlete as she prepares for the baby.

In fact, Osaka recently poked fun at herself for being an introvert throughout the pregnancy ... saying, "Only Rihanna would get me to come out the house," after attending the Super Bowl in Arizona last month.

Naturally, Osaka's new post is getting a ton of positive feedback ... with followers praising the mom-to-be.

As we previously reported, Osaka and Cordae are expecting their first child together ... although it appears the talented M.C. is electing to keep this part of his life off social media so far.

One thing's for sure -- if the baby has style like its mommy, it'll be one of the best-dressed youngins on the planet!!

Willis Reed Dead At 80 ... Hall of Famer, Knicks Legend

Knicks legend Willis Reed, arguably the greatest player in the history of the organization, has died at the age of 80, the team confirmed on Tuesday.

No cause of death was reaveled ... but Reed had been ill, battling congestive heart failure, longtime NYC columnist Peter Vescey reported.

"The Knicks organization is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Captain, Willis Reed," the Knicks said in a statement. "As we mourn, we will always strive to uphold the standards he left behind -- the unmatched leadership, sacrifice and work ethic that personified him as a champion among champions."

"His is a legacy that will live forever. We ask everyone to please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time."

Simply put, Willis was one of the best hoopers to ever step foot on the hardwood.

Reed, a 6'10" center, was drafted by the Knicks with the tenth overall pick in the 1964 NBA Draft. Over his 10-season career, he averaged nearly 19 points and 13 rebounds. Willis was a 7x All-Star, 2x NBA Finals MVP and the 1970 NBA MVP.

Willis' most famous moment came during Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals. The Knicks and Lakers were knotted at three games apiece, with the title on the line. Reed missed Game 6 with a severe thigh injury, and almost no one expected the big man to play in the deciding game.

But, to the amazement of thousands of fans at Madison Square Garden, Reed limped onto the court during warmups, prompting the crowd to erupt. Willis hit the first two shots for the Knicks, and it was the only time he scored in the game.

However, Reed's presence gave his Knicks teammates the lift they needed to down Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and Jerry West's Lakers squad, 113-99. It was the Knickerbockers' first title.

NYK then won another championship three years later in 1973.

After retiring from the NBA in '74, Reed was hired by the Knicks as head coach in '77. His coaching stint in NY didn't last very long. In 1981, Willis went back to college, where he coached Creighton. He then had stints as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings.

In 1988, Reed was again named an NBA head coach when he was hired as the New Jersey Nets' headman.

The Knicks' last title was in 1973 ... and the franchise recently celebrated the 50-year anniversary, welcoming back stars from the team like Walt Frazier. Sadly, Reed, because of health issues, wasn't able to make it to NYC for the event.

The Garden played a pretaped message from the legendary hooper ... and the crowd loved it.

NBA commish Adam Silver released a statement on the legend's passing ... saying, "Willis Reed was the ultimate team player and consummate leader."

"My earliest and fondest memories of NBA basketball are of watching Willis, who embodied the winning spirit that defined the New York Knicks' championship teams in the early 1970s. He played the game with remarkable passion and determination, and his inspiring comeback in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals remains one of the most iconic moments in all of sports."

"We send our deepest condolences to Willis' wife, Gail, his family and his many friends and fans."

He may now be gone ... but Reed's #19 will forever hang in the rafters of the World's Most Famous Arena.

R.I.P., legend.

Europa League Fan Banned 40 Years For Storming Pitch, Punching Player ... During Match

The fan who stormed the pitch and attacked a player during a Europa League match last month has been hit with a massive ban ... with Dutch club PSV announcing the intruder is persona non grata for the next 40 YEARS.

Remember, the spectator interrupted the PSV vs. Sevilla match at Philips Stadium in the Netherlands on Feb. 23 ... when he ran onto the field and punched Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović in the face.

PSV said in a statement the culprit -- currently serving a two-month prison sentence -- is not only banned from the club for four decades, but he's also forbidden from entering the area around the stadium for two years ... and is facing a possible fine imposed by UEFA.

PSV also added that the 20-year-old man should have never been allowed to enter the stadium to begin with ... as he was already serving a ban for a prior incident, but he was able to get through the gates with a friend's ticket.

Of course, prison time and a 40-year ban wasn't the only thing the guy walked away with -- he also got his ass beat, as Dmitrović leveled him with one punch after the ambush, dropping him to the ground.

The intruder tried to put up a fight ... but security, with help from players from both sides, was able to escort him off the field.

The incident has sparked internal discussions within PSV ... as the club hopes to come up with better ways to enforce stadium bans moving forward.
