Takeoff Cops Piecing Together Beef That Led to Fatal Shooting

Cops are trying to piece together the argument that escalated to the point of gunfire in the fatal shooting of Takeoff, and the triviality of the whole thing is just mind-boggling.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... angry words were exchanged between Quavo and others after he lost in a dice game at the bowling alley. We're told they took the argument outside, and somehow they begin jawboning over who could beat who at basketball.
That lines up with video obtained by TMZ, in which you hear Quavo become increasingly frustrated ... talking about basketball and assuring the group he'd win.
From there is when things hit a breaking point ... Quavo begins to walk away and then, our sources say, a punch was thrown. Suddenly, at least 10 shots ring out. It appears multiple weapons were fired, striking 3 people -- Takeoff fatally.
No arrests have been made, and cops haven't publicly named a suspect. However, in another video obtained by TMZ, you see one man in the group holding and then raising his gun. Cops tell us he's currently a person of interest.
Takeoff's Migos groupmates have not yet made public statements about his death.

Kyrie Irving Finally Apologizes ... But Fans Question Sincerity
-
Breaking News
Kyrie Irving is finally apologizing for tweeting out a link to an antisemitic film ... though many fans are questioning the sincerity of the Brooklyn Nets star's mea culpa.
The 30-year-old wrote out the "I'm sorry" in a lengthy post on his Instagram page late Thursday night -- one week after he promoted the film "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!"
He began by admitting he made a mistake in pedaling a movie that contained "anti-Semitic statements, narratives, and language that were untrue and offensive to the Jewish Race/Religion."
He then apologized to people of Jewish faith for his actions -- something he had refused to explicitly do despite having multiple opportunities in the days after he pressed "send" on his tweet.
"To All Jewish families and Communities that are hurt and affected from my post," he wrote, "I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize."
Some have found the line to be insincere -- believing it to be nothing more than "I'm sorry if I offended you" rhetoric.
Kyrie then apologized for not explaining the parts of the documentary that he actually agreed with ... another line with which fans took umbrage -- considering the entire film is laced with antisemitic tropes.
Finally, Irving wrote, "I had no intentions to disrespect any Jewish cultural history regarding the Holocaust or perpetuate any hate." Some have blasted him for this comment as well. The question -- is he really acknowledging the Holocaust happened, or is he saying he's sorry he offended Jewish belief that it happened? There's a huge difference between the two.
Did Kyrie Apologize?
Irving's apology came just hours after the Nets announced the point guard would be suspended for at least five games over the situation. The team said in a statement he will not be allowed to play for the org. again until he "satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct."
Irving has started 8 games so far for Brooklyn this season, averaging 26.9 points per game.

Kyrie Irving Anti-Defamation League Refuses Donation ... Gives Back $500K

The Anti-Defamation League is refusing to accept Kyrie Irving's donation ... with its CEO saying in a statement Thursday the org. is giving back the $500K that the Nets star donated this week.
Jonathan Greenblatt made the announcement on his Twitter page -- just minutes after Brooklyn suspended the point guard for at least five games.
Kyrie Irving Pushes Back on Antisemitic Labels After Promoting Movie
In his statement, Greenblatt said that after Irving refused to specifically apologize for tweeting out a link to a film that contained antisemitic rhetoric despite having multiple opportunities to do so ... the ADL "cannot in good conscience accept his donation."
"We were optimistic," Greenblatt said, "but after watching the debacle of a press conference, it’s clear that Kyrie feels no accountability for his actions."
Irving initially made the donation on Wednesday evening ... with the Nets saying they'd match his pledge. A statement came attached to the announcement of the contribution, with Irving appearing to express remorse for his tweet.
But, things only got worse after that -- despite having several chances to straight-up apologize or completely denounce antisemitism, Kyrie refused.
"I cannot be antisemitic if I know where I come from," Irving said when asked if he held any antisemitic beliefs.
He also would not explain what parts of the film he disagreed with ... saying, "I think some of the criticism of the Jewish faith and the community for sure. Some points made in there that were unfortunate."
The ADL isn't alone. NBA commissioner Adam Silver -- who is Jewish -- unloaded on Irving for his comments ... saying he was "disappointed and" would be meeting with him in person over the matter.
Brooklyn Nets Suspend Kyrie Irving For At Least Five Games
Irving has since been suspended at least 5 games ... with the Nets saying they're "currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets."
It's unclear if the ADL will accept the Nets' $500k donation that came along with Kyrie's contribution.
Irving's now had three chances to put the controversy behind him ... and only continues to dig himself into a deeper hole.

Brooklyn Nets Suspend Kyrie Irving ... For At Least 5 Games
The Nets have suspended Kyrie Irving for at least 5 games after the team says the NBA superstar repeatedly failed to fully apologize for promoting an antisemitic film, with the org. saying he's "currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets."
The team released a statement Thursday night announcing the move ... a week after the 30-year-old, 7x NBA All-Star tweeted about a film, "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!"
Kyrie Irving Pushes Back on Antisemitic Labels After Promoting Movie
“Over the last several days, we have made repeated attempts to work with Kyrie Irving to help him understand the harm and danger of his words and actions, which began with him publicizing a film containing deeply disturbing antisemitic hate," the Nets said.
"We believed that taking the path of education in this challenging situation would be the right one and thought that we had made progress with our joint commitment to eradicating hate and intolerance.”
The Anti-Defamation League says the "film promotes beliefs commonly found among antisemitic and extremist factions of the BHI movement."
However, despite the joint statement Wednesday night where Irving acknowledged hurting the Jewish community and pledging $1 million ($500K from Kyrie, Nets), many people, including commissioner Adam Silver were unmoved by Kyrie's words.
On Thursday, he met with members of the media, and again refused to directly apologize.
“We were dismayed today, when given an opportunity in a media session, that Kyrie refused to unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs, nor acknowledge specific hateful material in the film. This was not the first time he had the opportunity — but failed — to clarify.”
This morning's media session was clearly the last straw for the franchise ... which has been struggling on the court, as well.
“Such failure to disavow antisemitism when given a clear opportunity to do so is deeply disturbing, is against the values of our organization, and constitutes conduct detrimental to the team. Accordingly, we are of the view that he is currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets."
Fans Protest Kyrie Irving Comments With 'Fight Antisemitism' Shirts At Nets Game
FYI, Brooklyn has one of the largest Jewish populations in America.
The Nets continued ... "We have decided that Kyrie will serve a suspension without pay until he satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct and the suspension period served is no less than five games.”
The Nets will play the Washington Wizards Friday night in D.C. Irving will not be on the floor. If he serves the minimum suspension, he'd be eligible to return against the Lakers on November 13th in Los Angeles.
But, given Kyrie's hesitation to say sorry, that's a giant IF.

Mike Tyson Nearly KO'ed In Skateboard Debacle ... With Tony Hawk!!!
Saved by the bell big comfy chair!!!
Mike Tyson is SUPER fortunate his podcast setup is surrounded by fluffy furniture ... 'cause he was nearly KO'ed after jumping on a skateboard with Tony Hawk, but, fortunately, he landed safely on a chair instead.
Iron Mike just posted footage of the almost-disastrous scene ... showing him playing around with Hawk while filming another episode of "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson."
Hawk appeared to be trying to teach the boxing legend how to skate -- and when the 56-year-old jumped on the board, Tony cheered!
The problem? Tyson couldn't quite dismount properly ... and almost ate it!
Thankfully, after knocking into a wooden chair and a makeshift wall, he parked onto a seat cushion ... and acted like nothing happened.
Of course, Tyson is no stranger to bustin' his ass on boards ... back in 2015, he fell so hard off a hoverboard, he had to be on bed rest for a week.
Tyson poked fun at it all in a caption on the vid, writing, "Lucky that chair was there or it would have been a repeat of the hoverboard scare."
Be careful, Mike!

3:09 PM PT -- The LA County District Attorney's Office tells TMZ Sports ... "We believe this resolution was the best avenue to hold Mr. Bridges accountable for his conduct. We also understand through the victim’s representatives that the victim wanted an expedited resolution of the case."
"The victim and her representatives were consulted about the proposed resolution and agreed with the outcome of the case. The District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Victim Services remains ready to aid the victims in this case."
NBA free agent Miles Bridges will not spend another second behind bars in connection to his domestic violence case -- he reached a deal with prosecutors, pleading no contest to one felony charge.
But it's not going to be a walk in the park for Bridges -- he will spend three years on probation as a result of the deal ... and there are a lot of requirements he will have to follow.
Bridges is required to go through a year of domestic violence counseling and parenting classes, participate in 100 hours of community service, and submit to weekly narcotics testing -- with the exception to marijuana with a doctor's prescription.
On top of all that, Bridges is prohibited from owning guns and ammunition or any other dangerous weapon.
Bridges will also have to follow a 10-year protective order ... which means he must stay at least 100 yards from the mother of his children, Mychelle Johnson, and make zero contact with her.
Bridges and Johnson will maintain custody of his two kids, but any exchange or visitation must be done through a third party.
LaMelo Ball Hopes Miles Bridges Returns To Hornets, 'Definitely Miss Him'
It's a punishment that's sure to upset many of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón's critics ... who have accused the prosecutor of being soft on violent crime during his tenure.
Johnson agreed to and approved the agreement.
LAPD arrested Bridges on June 29 ... after he was accused of beating Johnson with their two kids present.
He was facing three felonies as a result of the incident ... but as part of the deal, agreed to plead no contest to one count of domestic violence toward a spouse or other cohabitant. The other two charges were dismissed.
It's a huge break for Bridges ... who was facing years in prison.
Bridges was the 12th overall pick out of Michigan State in 2018. During his 4 seasons in the league, the former Hornets forward averaged 13.4 points, 5.6 boards, and 2.3 assists.
Prior to his arrest, the Hornets extended the star hooper a qualifying offer ... allowing the organization the right to match any offer made by another team. The offer was pulled following the incident.
Bridges has not played a minute of NBA ball since.

He also uses a bottle of Aunt Jemima syrup ... but let's be honest, the stickiness from the syrup probably gave him an advantage.

"She didn't run to the press. She didn't run off and file a lawsuit. She instead tried to handle things in a way that she felt was appropriate -- in a way that would bring some real change in the Spurs organization," Buzbee said.
"Unfortunately, that didn't work out that way."
Buzbee says his client alerted the Spurs, but they failed to act.

Kyrie Irving Addresses Backlash With Media ... Attempts To Clarify Stance

9:33 AM PT -- 11/3 -- Kyrie Irving faced the media on Thursday ... and when presented with the opportunity to straight-up say "I apologize" for his actions, he once again said, "I didn't mean to cause any harm. I'm not the one that made the documentary."
Irving was asked what he specifically doesn't believe in the movie ... and he replied, "I think some of the criticism of the Jewish faith and the community for sure. Some points made in there that were unfortunate."
Kyrie Irving is acknowledging the hurt he caused the Jewish community when he promoted a movie containing antisemitic ideas, saying he "meant no harm" ... and to prove he's serious, the NBA star says he'll donate $500K to fight hate.
The 30-year-old Brooklyn Nets star Tweeted a link to "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!" last week ... and despite almost immediate backlash, Irving refused to back down, standing by his actions.

That is until Wednesday evening ... when the Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie released a statement apologizing and announcing the large monetary donation.
“I oppose all forms of hatred and oppression and stand strong with communities that are marginalized and impacted every day," Kyrie said.
Kyrie Irving Pushes Back on Antisemitic Labels After Promoting Movie
"I am aware of the negative impact of my post towards the Jewish community and I take responsibility. I do not believe everything said in the documentary was true or reflects my morals and principles."
The 7x NBA All-Star continued ... "I am a human being learning from all walks of life and I intend to do so with an open mind and a willingness to listen. So from my family and I, we meant no harm to any one group, race or religion of people, and wish to only be a beacon of truth and light."
Worth noting -- Kyrie does not flat-out say "I'm sorry," or, "I apologize" ... which has some people saying his statement and donation isn't enough.
Irving stopped short of completely condemning the ideas in the movie ... but it's certainly a big departure from his previous position.
Prior to tonight's announcement, Irving was getting destroyed everywhere from on TV, to social media, and even at Barclays. In fact, a group of fans protested Kyrie earlier this week ... wearing shirts that read "FIGHT ANTISEMITISM."
Brooklyn is home to one of the country's largest Jewish populations.
As for the money, the Nets are also chipping in 500 grand ... bringing the total to $1 million. The organization says they'll divide the cash among "causes and organizations that work to eradicate hate and intolerance in our communities."
The team also says they'll work with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) -- which fights antisemitism -- to "develop educational programming that is inclusive and will comprehensively combat all forms of antisemitism and bigotry."

10:52 AM PT -- The woman who shot the video tells TMZ Sports ... the melee actually went down DURING the game.
Neisha Reyes, the owner of Philadelphia business @DippedByNey, says she began rolling on the fight just after a janitor told her to watch out for the women scrapping on the floor. She said she wasn't sure what started it all, though she suspected alcohol played a role.
Reyes tells us after a few minutes of rolling around, the women eventually got up and returned to the bar area without further incident. She said to her knowledge, nobody appeared to sustain any injuries.
Several female Phillies fans turned on each other following the team's tough loss to the Astros on Wednesday -- beating the hell out of one another inside a women's bathroom near the stadium.
The chaos at Xfinity Live! -- a popular Phillies watch spot just feet from Citizens Bank Ballpark -- was all captured on video ... showing at least four women decked out in Philadelphia gear going at it in the venue's restroom.
In the clip, you can see hair was pulled, and punches were thrown. At one point during the fracas, two women wrestled MMA-style on the floor.
No word on what caused the fight -- but the potential combo of alcohol and Houston no-hitting the Phillies seem to be the likely powder keg.

"I do not believe everything said in the documentary was true or reflects my morals and principles," Irving said in the statement ... but did not clarify what parts he was distancing himself from.
Silver is so pissed, he says he will be personally meeting with Kyrie in person within the next week to discuss the situation.
