Vernon Davis continues to win at retirement ... 'cause the former Pro Bowler turned FOX primetime TV show judge tells TMZ Sports he's having an absolute blast on the show!

"Let me tell you, this has been the most fun I've ever had building, creating these structures of dominos, and just learning the entire world of how it works has been nothing but phenomenal. My kids love it, I love it," the 38-year-old retired NFL star says.

Vernon, the 6th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, is a judge on Domino Masters on FOX (Wednesday nights). The show's hosted by Eric Stonestreet ... and it's pretty incredible to see the structures the teams can build in a matter of hours.

They're so impressive, Davis -- who has made a splash in Hollywood since hanging up his pads (he's also in a Morgan Freeman movie) says he literally rushes to the studio to get to work.

"I would wake up in the morning rushing to work, driving really fast to get into the arena to make sure that I can continue to see how they build these structures out of dominos. It's beautiful, most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

In fact, Davis -- who played 14 seasons in the NFL -- likes it so much he's taken up the hobby with his children.

"I do it here in the house with the kids. Even when they're not here, I still do it. It's very rewarding when you build a structure and then you get back, you see like, 'Wow, I actually built this,' and then the way it falls. I don't know if you've seen it -- have you seen this show?"

Disney World 'Regrets' Performance By High School Group ... Racist Native American Stereotypes

Disney World is under fire after allowing a high school cheer group to march during a parade at the theme park with both chants and uniforms featuring racist Native American stereotypes.

A video of the performance spread quickly on social media Thursday featuring dozens of students from The Port Neches-Groves “Indianettes” High School drill team, a group out of Texas. Each member is dressed in fringed outfits, danced with moves similar to those seen in Native American cultures and chanted, "I-N-D-I-A-N-S scalp 'em, Indians, scalp 'em."

Of course, people were outraged, calling the incident racist and tagging the school's Twitter page -- which has seemingly since been deleted.

In a statement Friday, a Disney spokesperson said, "The live performance in our park did not reflect our core values, and we regret it took place. It was not consistent with the audition tape the school provided and we have immediately put measures in place so this is not repeated.”

In a somewhat parallel incident, it was last summer when the theme park removed all "native" characters from its Jungle Cruise attraction.

The incident comes on the heels of Disney CEO Bob Chapek getting a ton of heat for refusing to publicly condemn Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill ... with Disney employees planning a walkout next week.

Daymond John March Madness Is 'Modern-Day Slavery' ... Players Make No Money!!!

"Shark Tank" star Daymond John is having a hard time enjoying this year's NCAA Tournament ... saying he believes it's "horrible," and is actually "modern-day slavery."

The 53-year-old businessman spelled out his beef with March Madness to Harvey and Charles on "TMZ Live" on Friday ... explaining he thinks the players are getting a raw deal in the huge event.

John said there's a ton of people making millions -- if not billions -- off the tourney ... yet players aren't seeing much of the pie at all.

"The players make nothing! Zero off of all that," John said. "I think this is modern-day slavery and they're just giving them a little bit of a crumb."

John acknowledged that players do get scholarships and do now have the ability to get paid from NIL deals -- but he insisted that's nowhere near enough.

"These players are bringing in billions of dollars and making absolutely zero," he said. "It is really, I think, what business model do you know that makes billions of dollars and pays their employees zero?"

John said he believes at some point, the NCAA and schools themselves should be the ones who put cash in players' pockets.

UFC Fighter Eryk Anders Gashes Foot W/ Chainsaw ... Gnarly Photos!!!!

UFC fighter Eryk Anders suffered a super GNARLY injury this week ... when he was chopping trees down with a chainsaw, and SAWED INTO HIS OWN FOOT!!

And, it's just as gross as it sounds.

TMZ Sports talked to 34-year-old Anders just days after he was forced to seek emergency treatment at a local hospital for the chainsaw injury.

CUT IT CLOSE
TMZSports.com

"I was cutting down trees, and of course, I was on the last one, and I'm not a professional or nothing. It was a pretty big tree," Anders says, adding, "and I was cutting it and the tree leaned into the blade, so it kinda got stuck. With my other hand I reached up to push the tree, and I thought the chainsaw would keep cutting."

But, that's unfortunately not what happened.

"I guess I didn't have any pressure on the chainsaw to keep it moving in that direction and it kind of skipped off the tree and bounced off my foot."

Ouch.

How much did it hurt? We asked Eryk.

"I didn't even know I did it. Obviously, I felt the weight of the chainsaw land on my foot. I took a second. And, then the tree fell. So, I had to dodge the tree, so it was a big clusterf**k, all in the snap of a finger."

It goes without saying Anders is one tough dude. Not only is he a UFC fighter ... but he used to be a star on the University of Alabama football team, where he won a national championship under Nick Saban.

Thankfully, Anders was patched up by a doctor at the hospital (he needed 20 stitches) and is already back in the gym (maniac).

But, that's likely the end of Anders's logging career.

"I don't think I'll be using chainsaws anymore."

Kevin Durant Fined $25,000 ... For Telling Fan To 'Shut The F*** Up'

Kevin Durant's potty mouth just cost him $25,000 -- the NBA just fined the Brooklyn Nets superstar for telling a fan sitting courtside to "shut the f*** up."

The league announced the punishment on Friday afternoon ... saying in a statement they issued the fine against KD "for directing obscene language toward a fan."

The incident happened during Brooklyn's game against the Dallas Mavs on Wednesday ... when a fan said, "KD you gotta take this game over."

KD responded, "You gotta shut the f*** up and sit down."

Kevin wasn't disciplined for his clapback in-game ... although, you can see a referee was nearby to witness and hear the entire exchange.

But, Durant already knew what his fate with the league office would be ... preemptively tweeting out a symbolic meme of a girl forking over cash.

"Damn, smh" Kevin wrote on Twitter.

Durant might be $25k lighter in the pocket as a result of his comments, but knowing KD, he probably wouldn't change how he responded.

Brittney Griner U.S. Demands To See Detained WNBA Star ... In Strong Statement To Russia

The U.S. State Department is demanding Russia allow its officials to see Brittney Griner ... as the WNBA star sits in a jail cell awaiting her trial for alleged drug offenses.

In a statement released to AP on Friday, the U.S. State Dept. said it's "insisting" Russia "provide consular access" to Griner -- explaining the request has been repeatedly denied over the last few weeks.

It's all quite notable, considering it's the first time the U.S. State Department has used her name publicly.

You'll recall, when State Dept. Secretary Antony Blinken was asked about her case less than two weeks ago, he declined to get into specifics, saying only, "Whenever an American is detained anywhere in the world, we of course stand ready to provide every possible assistance."

On Friday, though, officials finally acknowledged in their statement that they "are closely engaged on this case." They added they are in "frequent contact with Brittney Griner's legal team."

As we reported, Griner has been detained in Russia since mid-February, after authorities say she went through airport security with hash oil in her luggage.

Griner's legal team asked a court on Thursday to allow her to be released on house arrest ... though officials denied that request. Griner is now expected to remain in detention in Russia until at least May 19, when she's expected to return to court.

The situation with Griner in Russia has been complicated ... as the State Department has "suspended operations" at embassies in Russia near where Griner is being held following the country's invasion of Ukraine.

Our sources say Griner is in good spirits despite it all ... but wants to return back to the U.S. as soon as possible.

Deshaun Watson I'm A Cleveland Brown!!! ... Texans Trade QB For Draft Picks

UPDATE

1:25 PM PT -- According to multiple reporters, the deal is now done. The Browns are officially sending 3 first-round picks, a 3rd-rounder and a 4th-rounder to the Texans for Watson and a 5th-rounder.

UPDATE

1:21 PM PT -- Watson just posted about the impending trade on his social media page ... confirming he's more than pleased to be headed to Cleveland.

UPDATE

"Cleveland, LETSSSS GOOOO!!," Watson wrote in the caption on his post. "😤 #DawgPound Ready To Work!"

Deshaun Watson will have a new home -- after a week of rumors and meetings with several teams, the star NFL quarterback is expected to be traded to the Cleveland Browns.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Watson stunningly reversed course and picked the Browns -- who were previously thought to be out of the mix -- over the Saints, Panthers and Falcons on Friday.

Albert Breer is reporting the Browns are sending three first rounders and two additional picks to Houston in the deal.

The move comes after a grand jury in Texas elected not to pursue criminal charges after several massage therapists accused him of sexual misconduct.

Watson is not in the clear, however -- he is still facing more than 20 civil suits filed by his accusers ... and is still under investigation by the NFL.

Deshaun has played in 54 games so far in his career -- and has logged 104 touchdowns, 14,539 passing yards and a 104.5 passer rating. He sat out all of the 2021 season following the therapists' allegations.

Watson's change of scenery is the latest big QB move this offseason -- as Carson Wentz and Russell Wilson were both traded last week.

Baker Mayfield is NOT included in this deal ... but is expected to be traded soon.

Tom Brady Wants To Hook Up 'Last' TD Ball Buyer ... With Bitcoin To Charity

The person who paid $518k for Tom Brady's last touchdown pass ball -- just to see its value vanish one day later when the QB unretired -- is getting a happy ending after all ... because the NFL superstar wants to hook them up with Bitcoin to their favorite charity!!

As we previously reported, the ball is believed to be worth a mere $50k at most following TB12's comeback announcement on Sunday ... considering the dude's expected to throw many more TDs in 2022 now that he's suiting up next season.

Brady got wind of the debacle on Friday ... and tweeted out his wish to help the buyer with an awesome gesture.

"Hey @FTX_Official … could we donate a Bitcoin to the charity of this person’s choice?! 😂," Brady said.

TB12 has been known to shell out the Bitcoin (currently valued at a little under $42k) in the past -- he gave the fan who got handed his 600th TD ball from Mike Evans the crypto and some signed swag after asking to return the ball.

Awesome move by Brady.

Russell Westbrook Confronts Heckler Over Criticism ... 'Don't Play With Me'

Russell Westbrook had yet another altercation with a heckler this week ... this time, the Lakers star got into it in the street with a guy who simply wants him to play to his full potential.

The video made rounds on social media Friday ... showing a man approach Russell and express his frustrations with #0's slump.

The fan is heard saying things like, "I f*** with you, I just want you to play better" ... and "I bet on you every night."

Westbrook is clearly annoyed with the man's advice ... telling the guy he's "not a little kid."

Of course, this has consistently happened all season -- and it got so bad, Westbrook had to plead with fans to stop calling him "Westbrick," as he finds it disrespectful to his family.

Just this week, Russell confronted a heckler for calling him the infamous nickname ... and that interaction was caught on video as well.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

The Lakers have been clapping back at trolls in the stands all season -- even having fans ejected for jawing at them during games -- as they continue to fall to the bottom of the Western Conference.

One thing's for sure -- if the Lakers keep losing, it's only going to get worse.

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

"I woke up and I realized that I wasn't dreaming. Saint Peter's did just knock off University of Kentucky on primetime TV and it was so, so many emotions running through my body."

That's St. Peter's College basketball legend Keydren Clark -- who twice led all Division 1 player's points scored in a season -- reacting to the shocking upset Thursday night. Clark starred at the school from 2002 to 2006.

Of course, #2 seed University of Kentucky, lead by Coach John Calipari and future NBA players, lost in overtime to the small Catholic school from Jersey City, NJ.

But, clearly, former Seton Hall University star Shaheen Holloway -- turned St. Peter's head coach -- wasn't intimidated ... and his Peacocks won 85-79 in one of the most shocking upsets in NCAA tourney history.

Even Clark could barely believe what he was seeing.

"Last night, I'm watching the game. Halftime, we in the game. I run downstairs, I put my jersey on. My kids supposed to be in bed, they hear me going crazy like 'Daddy what are you doing?' I said this right here is bigger than anything daddy could've ever done, they're on the brink of doing something special."

And, when the final horn sounded ... sending the 18-point favored Wildcats home, Keydren had all the feels.

"It was so many emotions. I was just so happy and it felt right and I was genuinely happy for the team because I watch them, I follow them, I've been up there, I talk to them before the tournament time and it was just an unreal feeling. I couldn't be prouder to be a Saint Peter's alum."

Now, St. Peter's advances to the second round, where they'll face #7 seed Murray State on Saturday with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, and Clark says he may fly out to Indiana to watch the game in-person.

It's March Madness!

Justin Fields Trains With Kap At Morehouse College ... In New Workout Video

TRAINING DAY

Colin Kaepernick is adding to the list of NFL stars helping the quarterback train for his NFL comeback ... this time it's Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, and Josh Dobbs!

34-year-old Kap previously linked up with Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett, and prominent WR coach David Robinson earlier this week ... as he pushes to return to the league after years away.

Now, it seems a few NFL QBs are getting in on the action. On Friday, Colin was with Fields (Bears, 11th overall pick last year), Taylor (Giants) and Dobbs (Steelers) at Morehouse College's football field.

The workout resembled a Pro Day ... with the QBs throwing passes downfield while receivers ran routes. The quarterbacks even helped each other out.

The ex-49ers signal caller has been broadcasting his training sessions on social media for over a week now ... seemingly showing his arm strength, footwork and overall skillset hasn't deteriorated since he last was on an NFL field in 2016.

Of course, the 34-year-old QB believes he's been blackballed because of his National Anthem protest ... but continues to fight to get back into the league.

Activist Shaun King -- who's been supportive of Kap -- caught a glimpse of his workout today and says it's obvious his athleticism is not the reason why he's not signed.

"Not one single expert could watch this and deny the skills and strength and health," King said.

Ben Stiller Dragged Into Tennis Star's Beef With Fan 'Do I Tell Him How To Act!?!'

Ben Stiller got dragged into a beef between tennis star Nick Kyrgios and a heckler at a famous tournament on Thursday -- and the scene was hilarious.

Here's the deal -- at one point during Kyrgios' match against Rafael Nadal at Indian Wells in California ... the Australian hit a serve that caused a fan to talk some trash.

Kyrgios fired back right away -- asking him straight-up, "Are you good at tennis!?"

When the fan responded, "No," Nick went off.

"Exactly!" he said. "So why are you speaking?!?"

Then, he brought Stiller -- who was sitting courtside with his wife, Christine -- into the equation.

"Do I tell him how to act!?!" he asked as he pointed his racket at the "Meet the Parents" actor. "No!"

Kyrgios went back to action on the court -- but broadcast cameras caught Stiller grinning over it all.

Kyrgios went on to lose to Nadal -- and then he continued his eventful day, by nearly nailing a ball boy with his racket in frustration.

Check out the clip -- Kyrgios shook hands with Nadal after the match, and then as he started to walk away, he wound up and threw his racket across the court -- nearly hitting the ball boy who was standing along the wall.

Fortunately for the guy, he wasn't hurt, but it was a close call and even drew gasps from the fans left in the stands.

Kyrgios, however, did make amends for his mistake ... and apologized for almost striking the guy.

"Hey bro! Sorry about my racket incident at the end! Complete accident, you all ok from it?" Kyrgios wrote in an apology he posted on Twitter.

Nick then offered to give the guy a tennis racket over it all ... saying he'd track him down if need be at the courts, so he could personally deliver him the gift.

"Sound all G?" Kyrgios asked the guy, to which he replied, "Perfect. Thank you so much!"

Of course, this isn't the first time we've seen Nick have a temper tantrum almost result in someone getting hurt.

Back at the Australian Open in January, Nick smacked a loose ball because he was upset ... and it ended up nailing a kid in the crowd who started crying immediately after.

Brittney Griner Asked Court For House Arrest ... Request Was Denied

UPDATE

7:19 AM PT -- 3/18 -- We're learning more about Brittney Griner's hearing in Moscow on Thursday. Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports the hearing was actually requested by the WNBA star's legal team. They asked the court to allow BG to be released on house arrest.

UPDATE

The request was denied by the court ... something our sources say the Griner legal team expected.

UPDATE

As for the May 19 date ... that's when Griner is expected to return to court. If the Russian investigators need more time, they'll request an extension in May.

UPDATE

Once the investigation is complete, we're told a trial date will be set.

UPDATE

We're also told Griner's legal team has been able to visit her on several occasions at the location where she's being held.

UPDATE

According to our sources, Griner is "OK," but clearly wants to return home as soon as possible.

Brittney Griner was in a Russian court on Thursday ... and will remain in custody for AT LEAST another two months after they extended the arrest of the WNBA star, who's accused of bringing drugs into the country.

Video was released showing the Phoenix Mercury center walking, presumably outside the Moscow-area courtroom, flanked by two female guards. The footage is the first we've seen of 31-year-old Griner since she was taken into custody weeks ago.

Russian news agency TASS says the Moscow court granted more time to investigate the alleged crimes ... and "extended the period of detention of the U.S. citizen Griner until May 19."

Griner has been in custody since February after Russian customs officials claim they found hashish oil (vape cartridges) in her carry-on luggage at an airport.

As for the conditions of her "detainment," TASS reports she's sharing a cell with two other women who have no prior convictions. They also reported the 6'7" athlete was issued a bed too short for her frame.

After her arrest, Russian officials said they opened up a drug trafficking investigation into Griner.

Everyone from NBA and WNBA stars, actors and actresses, to Griner's wife has called on the country to release Griner ... to no avail.

"There are no words to express this pain," Griner's wife, Cherelle, said earlier this month.

"I'm hurting, we're hurting. We await the day to love on you as a family."

Several prominent politicians have spoken out about Griner's arrest -- including Hillary Clinton, who recently wrote "Free Brittney" on social media.

U.S. Congressman Colin Allred -- who also happened to attend Baylor U. -- recently told us he hopes Griner doesn't become a political pawn during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trolls LeBron's 'Lemon Heads' Diss ... With Anti-Biden Meme

It's been months since LeBron James shaded Kyle Rittenhouse for crying in a courtroom ... but he is clearly nowhere near ready to let it go, 'cause he trolled the Lakers star's diss while sharing an anti-Joe Biden meme Thursday.

The 19-year-old posted the short video on his Twitter page ... taking a shot at LeBron's famous "lemon heads" comment while going after Biden over America's high gas prices.

The meme featured footage of a tearful Rittenhouse from his day on the stand ... edited onto an arm holding a gas pump.

"No, it's not Lemon Heads ...," Rittenhouse captioned the video, jabbing at Lebron, "it's the burning hole in my pocket thanks to a Joe Biden presidency."

Rittenhouse went on to thank the "mememaster" who created the piece in another tweet for sending it his way.

You'll recall, LeBron blasted Rittenhouse back in November after he believed the teenager was fake-crying while on the stand during his murder trial.

"What tears?????" LeBron said after watching Rittenhouse's reaction in court. "I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court."

SAVING THE DAY
TMZSports.com
UPDATE

"I was just thinking, 'This would be really cool,'" Cerny said.

UPDATE

Cerny told us the whole experience was surreal -- adding that neither she nor Paris has done anything remotely similar to this during a game before.

An Indiana University cheerleader saved the day at an NCAA Tournament game Thursday night -- soaring high above a backboard to retrieve a basketball for players ... and the improbable rebound was EPIC.

The woman, Cassidy Cerny, jumped into action after a ball got stuck during the Hoosiers' opening-round game against St. Mary's.

At the beginning of the second half, a player missed a shot -- and as the ball rattled around the rim, it somehow got caught above the hoop and didn't come down.

Several players and a ref tried to get the thing to shake loose -- using a chair and a broomstick -- but nobody could knock out the ball.

That's when Cassidy sprang into action with Nathan Paris -- using a cheerleading stunt to get up to the top of the hoop. And, eventually, she got the ball down!!

Check out the footage of the fun moment, the crowd went absolutely nuts following her retrieval.

A short time later, she and Paris were interviewed about the heroic effort ... and she was cool as a cucumber about it all.

"That was nothing, really," she said.

Unfortunately for Indiana, the Hoosiers on the court weren't nearly as cool as Cassidy off of it -- and got blown out by St. Mary's, 82-53.

Tony Hawk Walks Without Crutches ... 9 Days After Breaking Leg

TONY WALK

Tony Hawk -- who suffered a career-threatening broken femur just last week -- is already up and walking without crutches ... further proving the skateboarding legend is simply built different.

The 53-year-old posted the update on Thursday ... showing a slow and steady walking pace with only a slight hobble.

It's pure insanity -- given how gnarly the break was -- but it shouldn't come as a surprise ... after all, Hawk was putting weight on the busted leg just one day after his skating accident.

Tony seems to be having some fun during his recovery ... playing Run-D.M.C.'s "Walk This Way" as he takes his steps.

As we previously reported, Hawk feared the injury could keep him from ever returning to 100% ... but with this kind of progress, it seems like he'll be on the board again in no time.

ROAD TO RECOVERY

"I've said many times that I won't stop skating until I am physically unable," Hawk said last week. "A broken leg -- with plenty of hardware -- will probably be the biggest test of that creed. I'll be back ... maybe not at full capacity but I resigned to that notion years ago as I approached 'mid-life.'"

"Thanks to my unyieldingly supportive, tolerant family -- and all of you -- for the love and support through the years; I wouldn't be here without you. See you on the other side."
