'9 to 5' Star Dabney Coleman Dead at 92

Dabney Coleman -- an absolute legend in Hollywood best known for his villainous turn in "9 to 5" -- has died ... TMZ has learned.

The actor's daughter, Quincy Coleman, tells TMZ ... "My Father, Dabney Wharton Coleman, took his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitely in his home on Thursday May 16th, 2024 at 1:50 PM."

She adds, "My father crafted his time here on earth with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity. As he lived, he moved through this final act of his life with elegance, excellence and mastery."

The "Bonnie and Clyde" legend dives deep into her diagnosis in a new Cannes Film Festival doc about her life called "Faye" which premiered Wed -- and she reveals a team of docs really dug into her behavior, hooked her up with some meds and it helped her a lot.

Faye says she finally understood the reason for the way she was ... adding, "It’s something you need to be aware of, you need to try to do the right thing to take care of it.”

3:07 PM PT -- Chris just addressed Tony's passing, writing ... "Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr. We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set."

He adds, "He was always a gentleman and professional. He'll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter."

Tony McFarr -- a stuntman who stepped in to double for some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Chris Pratt -- has died ... TMZ has learned.

The daredevil performer's mother, Donna, tells us he passed away Monday at his home just outside Orlando -- and while we're told the family doesn't know the exact circumstances of his death just yet ... Donna does say his passing is unexpected and shocking.

She says Tony was active and healthy ... and we're told the medical examiner's office is running toxicology tests now. The Orange County Medical Examiner confirms to us they have the case ... and that an official cause is still pending.

We caught up with Matthew and his brothers, Joey and Andrew, in L.A. this week, where the former child star told us it's unlikely a reboot will happen following Robin Williams' death.

Matthew, who played one of Robin's kids in the original, added ... "Without Robin, I don't think that movie is possible. In 2014, they were talking about it ... and everybody was kind of buzzing about it."

Susan Backlinie, who played one of the most memorable roles in "Jaws," has died ... TMZ has learned.

The longtime actress and stuntwoman passed away at her home Saturday morning in Ventura, CA ... according to Matthew Templeton, the agent who handled her convention bookings. He says the cause of death has not been determined yet.

SB got her start in the acting world in 1975 with the role of Chrissie Watkins in Steven Spielberg's shark flick. She's the woman who goes skinny dipping in the ocean in the opening scene ... and gets savagely yanked back and forth by the shark before she's eaten.

Roger Corman King of B-Movies Dead At 98

Roger Corman, the legendary filmmaker of low budget horror flicks who launched the Hollywood careers of Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and many others, has died.

The so-called "King of the B-Movies" passed away Thursday at his home in Santa Monica, CA with his family surrounding him. His daughter Catherine confirmed his death, but did not disclose a cause.
