Halle Bailey (Baby) Bumpin' in That Hoodie??? New Pics Fuel Pregnancy Buzz

Halle Bailey is doing little to dispel persistent rumors she's pregnant with her first child ... because if that bump is what everyone thinks it is, she's no longer trying to hide it.

The 'Little Mermaid' star was out in Santa Monica, rocking very casual and very baggy clothing -- sweatpants and a hoodie -- and yet all eyes were focused on her midsection.

Halle was joined by rapper boyfriend, DDG, during the Sunday outing, and the couple looked pretty happy about something -- and most of their fans think they know what that something is.

HB did have a bandage on her arm near her elbow, indicating a possible blood draw. If she's preggo, giving blood is something that's done regularly for all sorts of tests.

It looks like DDG also gave blood too, for some reason, because he had a bandage on his left arm.

Halle first sparked pregnancy rumors last month at the MTV Video Music Awards ... when she wore a large, flowing orange dress onstage to present an award.

She also reportedly remained cautious backstage, greeting celebs with handshakes instead of hugs.

Add it all up and it seems like Halle and DDG are starting a family -- but, to be fair, they haven't confirmed anything. Not yet.

Stay tuned ...

'Sandlot' Star Marty York Mom Posted About BF's Mental Health ... Expressed Concern Week Before Being Murdered

The mother of "The Sandlot" star Marty York shared her concerns online not long before she was murdered ... speaking out about the mental health of her boyfriend -- the man Marty believes killed her.

Marty's mom, Deanna Esmaeel, wrote in a schizophrenia support group on Facebook earlier this month, asking, "Anyone else here have spouse or significant other with schizophrenia .. mine doesn't trust me and accuses me of cheating constantly."

She went on to claim she's been on the receiving end of name-calling and him "becoming physical for no reason" ... referring to her boyfriend, Daniel James Walter.

Deanna also left a comment last week on someone's post, who asked how others deal with the abuse coming from a schizophrenic partner.

She replied, "You will learn to see a pattern in his behavior. When you see the pattern initiate put in earplugs or headphones and turn up the music. Don't listen. Keep smiling."

She told the anonymous asker the abusive reactions weren't reflective of their partner's feelings, adding, "I get mine to smoke pot as cannabis actually stops the episode and redirects it."

TMZ broke the story, Deanna was found dead Thursday inside her home, with the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office -- where she was a deputy -- putting out an alert to help track down Walter.

PD said Walter was a suspect, but officers were only able to locate his car ... although he was later captured in Oregon.

Marty spoke out after the killing, saying, "Last night my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. Right now there is a nationwide manhunt." He urged anyone with info to call the cops -- noting he felt he would "physically maul" Walter if he found him before police did.

Robin Williams Genie Voice in 'OUAS' ... Real Deal, No AI

Disney fans got to hear Robin Williams' voice from "Aladdin" with completely new lines not featured in the original movie -- but rest assured, no robots were involved in the revival.

This was a big moment from Sunday night's airing of "Once Upon a Studio" ... a short film the Mouse House released on ABC to celebrate their 100-year anniversary, to touch on all the iconic characters and milestones they've hit over the years -- RW's Genie, included.

The Genie's cameo is brief but memorable ... he's shown popping off a page that Olaf -- from "Frozen" -- is working on, which causes the snowman to go crashing to the ground.

In response, Genie says ... "I haven't seen a fall like that since Rome." Once Olaf pops up and recomposes himself, Robin can be heard saying ... "Much better." It's just a couple lines, but some fans worried Disney recreated the late actor's voice by using artificial intelligence.

Fortunately for everybody, that's not the case ... as clarified by the producers/directors -- who told Variety they got official permission to use the real thing ... namely, Robin's actual vocals.

They say they reached out to Robin's estate, explaining ... "We tried to take them on the journey with us to say, 'We’ve got this very special short that we’re doing. Robin as the genie means so much to so many people and we would really love to involve him.'"

The creative team behind 'OUAS' adds ... "So Dan listened to the outtakes from the original recording and he found those little bites that we could use. We went back to the estate and said, 'This is what we hope to do. Eric, who originally animated the genie is on the show, and he’s going to be part of it.' And, it was wonderful to see that happen."

In other words, they opened up the Disney vault ... and did right by Robin and fans.

Martin Scorsese Easy Talkin' to De Niro ... DiCaprio Says His Talks are 'Long'

you talkin' to me?
CBS Sunday Morning

Martin Scorsese's two golden boys are finally coming together on the big screen -- but it sounds like he can communicate a little easier with one versus the other ... guess who.

Leonardo DiCaprio revealed the on-set dynamic between the iconic director and his longtime collaborator in Robert De Niro -- who's stars opposite Leo in their new flick, 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' the first time they'll have acted in a Scorsese flick together.

It's a big deal seeing how Marty has used both dudes in a number of his films -- back in the 20th century ... Bob was MS's leading man. Post-2000, LDC took up that mantle.

But in terms of who Scorsese appears to connect with more ... Leo says there's no question, it's De Niro. Watch how he described their chats during a sit-down with CBS Sunday Morning ... he says they almost have their own secret language, with nods and gestures.

He says it's almost like a short-hand they have with each other -- whereas Leo says him and Marty have very long, drawn-out talks ... so yeah, Bob and Marty's connection is unmatched.

The master himself confirmed Leo's account ... saying he does, in fact, have "long-hand" with the younger actor. It makes sense when you think about -- fact is, Marty and Bob have known each other dating back to childhood ... so they're thick as thieves and then some.

It'll be fascinating to see them act alongside each other when the film drops next week. De Niro's obviously a lot older now -- and Leo's no spring chicken either. Still, they look to be in peak form when it comes to their chops ... and the reviews for this one are stellar.

Now the question ... who's the better actor historically??? Kidding, we ain't going there. 😅

Halle Berry Allegedly Duped Into 'X-Men' Movie ... Director Spills Beans

Halle Berry was allegedly tricked into acting in one of the "X-Men" movies with a bait-and-switch tactic -- so claims a film director who was briefly attached to the project.

Matthew Vaughn -- famous for helming "Kick-Ass" and the "Kingsman" movies, and who actually ended up going on to direct "X-Men: First Class" years after this alleged incident -- told the tale to THR ... detailing what he says led to him exiting "X-Men: The Last Stand" way back in the mid-2000s.

Long story short ... Vaughn was hired to direct the second sequel, but for a while -- Halle hadn't actually signed on just yet ... despite Hugh Jackman and other key actors coming back. During pre-production, MV claims he discovered duplicity at play from a studio head.

Here's how Vaughn explains it ... he says he went into one of the execs' offices and saw a new 'X3' script, which he says he realized was notably fatter. When he asked what it was, he claims the exec told him not to worry about -- but Vaughn insisted and rifled through it ... noticing that an entire scene about Halle's character, Storm, had been added -- where she helps starving kids in Africa by using her superpowers.

Naturally, Vaughn asked what the heck this was ... pointing out this wasn't the version of the script that'd been ran by him. The response he claims he got back forced him to bail.

Vaughn says, "'[I went,] ‘What is this?' [They said,] 'Oh, it’s Halle Berry’s script. I went, 'OK, because she hasn’t signed up yet.' 'But this is what she wants it to be, and once she signs up, we’ll throw it in the bin.'" In other words, they were gonna pretend to include the scene that Halle wanted but then scrap it entirely once they got her to sign on the dotted line.

Vaughn says he was disgusted by this, saying ... "I was like, 'Wow, you’re gonna do that to an Oscar-winning actress who plays Storm? I’m outta here.' So I quit at that point."

He doesn't name any names here, but the story is troubling -- especially when you consider Halle did, in fact, act in this film ... and the Storm scene described is nowhere to be found.

We've reached out to Halle's team for comment ... so far, no word back.

Piper Laurie Mother from 'Carrie' Dead at 91

Piper Laurie -- the Oscar-nominated actress -- has died ... this according to her team.

Her manager, Marion Rosenberg, confirmed her passing Saturday to some outlets -- with him telling Variety, "A beautiful human being and one of the great talents of our time." He further shared with THR that she'd been ill now for quite some time ... although an exact cause of death wasn't revealed.

Laurie was one of the last few stars from Hollywood's golden era -- having gotten her start in showbiz back in the '50s ... starring in movies alongside some very famous names, including Donald O'Connor, Tony Curtis, Rock Hudson, Tyrone Power and even Ronald Reagan.

Speaking of the late President -- with whom she acted in her breakout film, "Louisa" -- PL once claimed she'd lost her virginity to him ... and they even dated for a while pre-Nancy. Throughout that decade, she was on a tear ... but took a break until 1961, when she starred opposite Paul Newman in "The Hustler" -- for which she won a Best Supporting Actress nom.

After another long hiatus, Laurie came back to the big screen for her memorable role as Margaret White ... Sissy Spacek's mother in the horror classic, 'Carrie,' for which she won another Best Supporting Actress nomination. Ditto for 1986's 'Children of a Lesser God.'

One of her other very famous parts was in the show "Twin Peaks" ... where she played Catherine Martell AND Mr. Tojamura. The latter performance was iconic. She actually won a Golden Globe for her work on 'TP' ... not to mention an Emmy for a TV movie as well.

Laurie's career was long and prosperous ... having starred in other huge films such as "The Bunker," "Return to Oz" and more. Her TV appearance might've been even more prolific -- she acted in series like 'ER,' 'Skag,' 'The Twilight Zone,' 'Traps,' "Touched By an Angel," "Frasier," "Will & Grace," "Law & Order," "MacGyver" ... and so many others.

She was 91.

THE REAL 'ERAS' EXPERIENCE

Check these out ... 'cause they're quite something. The clips are coming in from all over the world -- but these ones in particular seem to be from Australia and the U.S. specifically.

One video shows fans getting out of their chairs and hitting the ground floor right in front of the screen as soon as "Shake It Off" starts to play. Honestly, the way it all plays out -- you could say it was all choreographed ... as it looks like this is straight out of a musical.

When everyone gets down to the lower level, they dance their faces off ... and sing in unison with Taylor. The same was done in yet another theates -- where her fans belted out "22."

Even when the credits roll ... the TS legion can't seem to help but stand up and get together -- which was demonstrated in one viral clip that shows Swifties swinging around in a giant hand-holding circle ... "Midsommar" style. Basically, "Ring Around the Rosie (Taylor's Version)."

Just goes to show what everyone sorta anticipated with this concert flick -- namely, it was going to become a full-blown event ... with people screaming/singing at the top of their lungs.

As far as money, the numbers have been great so far on opening day -- domestically, it's already raked in $39 million between Thursday and Friday screenings ... and at the moment, the 'Eras Tour' film is on pace to make anywhere from $90-$109 mil through Sunday.

It's an astonishing feat ... and yet another testament to the power of Taylor. Ooh-wee!

Michael Caine I'm Retiring ... Go Out On a High Note

Michael Caine is hanging it up in showbiz -- this after an illustrious career.

The British actor made the announcement Saturday on BBC Radio 4’s Today, where he said it was official ... saying he felt it was truly time to retire, seeing how he's in a later stage of life and doesn't feel like he has much to offer any more in terms of characters.

Here's how he put it ... "I kept saying I’m gonna retire. Well, I am now because I figured, I’ve had a picture where I’ve played the lead, and it’s got incredible reviews." MC is referring to "The Great Escaper," which came out earlier this year and was fairly well-received.

Mike continues ... "The only parts I’m likely to get now are old men, 90-year-old men -- well, maybe 85, you know? And I thought, 'Well, I might as well leave with all this. I’ve got wonderful reviews. What am I gonna do to beat this?'"

Caine had previously revealed that working on 'TGE' was somewhat difficult for him physically -- which makes sense considering the guy is 10 years shy of 100 years old at the moment.

While he might be stepping away from performing in front of the camera, he's still gonna be getting his creativity on with continued writing -- including a novel he's working on now ... which will be released in December.

Still, it's sad news for fans of his ... and there are many. Michael has had some legendary roles over the years -- including his many collaborations with director Christopher Nolan, notably in the 'Batman' films as Alfred the butler. Of course, there are countless others.

Here's to a good, long ride full of great memories -- cheers, Mikey!

'Sandlot' Star Marty York Mother Murdered In Her Own Home ... Cops Hunt for Killer

update

10/16/23 12:45 PM PT -- Cops say they took Walter into custody over the weekend.

3:23 PM PT -- Marty York just broke his silence, posting a photo of Walter and writing, "This is the hardest post I'm ever going to have to write. Last night my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. Right now there is a nationwide manhunt."

He continues, "If you've seen this man please call the police immediately. I can't even comprehend what is happening right now, but I feel if I find this person I'm going to physically maul him. I pray to God I don't find him because it will be a fate worse then hell."

Tragedy has struck the family of "The Sandlot" actor Marty York, his mother, a sheriff's deputy, was murdered in her own home ... and cops are on the hunt for the alleged killer.

Cops say Deanna Esmaeel was found dead Thursday inside her home in Crescent City, California. On Friday, the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office -- where Deanna is a deputy -- put out an alert to the public in hopes of tracking down Deanna's boyfriend, Daniel James Walter.

Investigators say Walter, who recently changed his name to Edward Patrick Davies, is the suspect in Deanna's murder ... though they don't say what happened.

According to the alert, deputies were able to locate Walter's vehicle, but the 54-year-old was nowhere to be found.

Sheriff Scott of the DNSO released a statement following Deputy Esmaeel's death, saying, "We are all deeply heartbroken with the loss of Deputy Esmaeel. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and co-workers."

Marty York played "Yeah-Yeah" in the 1993 classic "The Sandlot" and has continued to act on various projects through the years. He has not yet publicly commented on his mother's murder.

Taylor Swift Fans Selling 'Eras' Premiere Swag ... Popcorn Tin For $100!!!

Taylor Swift's fans are passionate and entrepreneurial, already cashing in on their free goodies from her 'Eras Tour' film premiere by hawking little things like a popcorn tin and cup ... for a couple hundy!!!

The 2,200 Swifties lucky enough to have been invited to the worldwide debut of Taylor's movie Wednesday night in L.A., hopped on eBay the next day in hopes of pocketing some extra dough -- pawning off souvenirs they got at the theater.

ICONIC DUO

For instance, that popcorn bucket Beyoncé and Taylor were eating out of when Bey made her surprise appearance -- not the actual one, but one like it -- could fetch a hefty profit.

These sellers are no joke, BTW ... some are asking up to $250 for 2 items -- adding a drink cup to go with the popcorn bucket. Most listings, though, are around $100 right now, and a couple of them even include the tote bag and poster fans also got.

Remember, they got all of this stuff for free -- so, any amount they get is a profit.

Here's the kicker, the bucket and cup aren't even exclusive to the big event -- in fact, they're the same ones the general public can buy at all AMC Theaters, where the flick is playing exclusively.

The tin only costs $19.89 at the theater -- a nod to her 2014 album title and its upcoming rerelease -- and the large cup is $11.99.

It's worth mentioning, those souvenir collectibles -- ones not Taylor-related -- normally sell out really fast at theaters. Adding her to the mix means demand for the items will be through the roof. Good luck, Swifties!

Amber Heard Claimed Momoa Dressed Like Depp To Mess with Her On 'Aquaman 2' Set

Amber Heard told her therapist Jason Momoa was purposely dressing like her ex Johnny Depp while filming the 'Aquaman' sequel ... one of many claims just now coming to light.

The news comes courtesy of new legal docs from Amber's defamation trial last year, which were recently made public ... and detail some startling allegations she made in therapy sessions back in 2021, when she and Jason were working on 'A2.'

During one particular session in December of that year, she said she felt Jason was seemingly trying to play mind games with her by intentionally copying JD's fashion sense, right down to his multi-fingered rings ... according to Variety.

There are more allegations she made about Jason to her therapist at the time -- including a claim he was intoxicated on set, and that he was working to get her fired.

A rep for DC denied these characterizations, saying ... "Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." A separate source told Variety, Jason's fashion sensibility naturally reflects a bohemian style ... pushing back on Amber feeling he was trying to torment her.

There are a lot more juicy nuggets in the docs ... including the allegation Warner/DC tried canning Amber ahead of filming of 'Aquaman 2' -- but not because of her Johnny drama, but more so over a perceived lack of chemistry with Jason.

Amber's then-boyfriend, Elon Musk, fired off a letter to the studio on the heels of that ... threatening to "burn the house down" at WB, according to Variety.

If true, you'd have to say it worked ... they did keep Amber, although a handful of her scenes were cut down in the final edit of 'Aquaman 2; -- including a love scene with JM.

It's a peek behind the curtain amid a lot of speculation at the time over how much the Amber-Johnny saga had affected their respective work prospects -- especially for Amber, who came under intense criticism in the wake of Johnny's victory. Remember, fans wanted her character, Mera, completely recast, and a viral petition got started over it ... to no avail.

Now, 'A2' is set to hit theaters in December ... and time will tell what the box office will be. The first one was a massive success, but insiders say this new one hasn't landed so well with audiences in test screenings, which has spurred a number of reshoots/new cuts.

In any case, we've reached out to both Amber and Jason's teams ... so far, no word back.

Jamie Foxx Hits Up Halloween Horror Nights ... And So Do Other Stars!!!

Jamie Foxx was in the mood for some late-night scares this weekend -- hitting up Universal Studios' creepy theme park after hours ... finding both fans and monsters.

The actor swung by Halloween Horror Nights Sunday, posing for a cool pic while standing around a bunch of the costumed actors, who seemed more star-struck than they did frightful. That might have to do with Jamie's stance here ... full-on bad ass mode!

Indeed, JF set the tone ... and the HHN crew followed, it seems. That's pretty different than how most guests get treated when they enter the spooky grounds -- usually, folks get followed around and terrorized by the employees ... and celebs aren't exempt.

BTW, Jamie wasn't the only famous face who was enjoying the evening ... other stars like Ariana Madix of 'Vanderpump' fame were in attendance with some pals, as was former "Euphoria" star Barbie Ferreriera and the great Nicole Richie. They all seemed to get the VIP treatment.

We'll probably see a lot more A-listers drop in over the next few weeks -- Halloween Horror Nights is a fall time tradition here in SoCal ... and that goes for Hollywood's elite too.

Now, whether they all get an awesome photo-op like this, though, remains to be seen.

Here's hoping they got some real screams in during the mazes -- lord knows those aren't a walk in the park by any stretch, and they're certainly not for the faint of heart either. 😱

Arnold Schwarzenegger My New Book Paves Path To a Successful Life!!!

TMZ.com

Arnold Schwarzenegger has accomplished a lot in his life -- and now, he wants to spread the wealth of knowledge he's gained over the years with anyone willing to listen ... and read.

We talked to the 'Terminator' Monday on "TMZ Live" about the release of his new book, "Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life," which hits bookshelves on Oct. 10. Arnold was kind enough to break down his thought process in this latest endeavor.

Check it out ... AS tells us this book was written to help people of all kinds, but especially for those who feel aimless and without purpose. For those folks, Arnold's got big-time tips.

For starters, he preaches a mantra that he's been living for years now -- namely, ya gotta have a vision for yourself and where you see your life headed. Of course, that includes setting goals, taking steps to achieve those and most importantly, putting in the work.

He tells us there'll always be haters and naysayers along the way who might try to deter you in whatever it is you're attempting to conquer -- and to them, Arnie says tune 'em out.

As he explains here, there were A LOT of people who told him he wouldn't succeed in showbiz ... but, as we all know, Arnold went on to become one of the biggest movie stars ever. The body builder-turned-actor-turned-politician says you gotta use what others consider a flaw to your advantage -- and to do that, it'll take a bit of creative thinking and ingenuity, plus major willpower.

Point is, anything's possible, and Arnold's here to guide people to that realization with his new book. Feel free to grab it now -- or listen to the audio book, which he recorded -- the guy's full of wisdom and inspiration!

Halloween Costumes Barbie, Little Mermaid Hot Sellers

If there's a competition for the most popular Halloween costumes, Barbie and Ariel, the "Little Mermaid" are queens of the hill this year -- and everything related to those characters is flying off shelves.

A rep for HalloweenCostumes.com tells TMZ ... those 2 themes have been knocking it out of the park for 2023, as expected with the popularity of their movies -- especially "Barbie" -- this year.

For Barbie, the company's officially licensed costumes have been selling 9x as much as they did last year ... and the site's "Barbie-Inspired" looks have also boosted 40%.

As for Ariel, her styles are up nearly 70% in 2023, too -- and the company is just hoping its inventory will be enough to get 'em through the spooky season!

Believe it or not, the movies aren't the only hot topics in the world of Halloween costumes ... we're told there's been a major spike in interest for Beyoncé and Taylor Swift looks -- obviously because of their extremely popular concert tours.

HalloweenCostumes.com has responded to the concert craze by making costume guides for each option -- a combination of some of the site's items that, when put together, make for a pretty great look-alike.

So if you wanna spend this Halloween with a life on tour, under the sea, or in plastic ... ya better act fast!

Greta Gerwig On To Next Project ... But It's Super, Super Scary!!!

Greta Gerwig is already circling her next movie -- but it ain't gonna be a walk in the park the way "Barbie" has been ... if anything, she makes it sound like the exact opposite.

The writer-director made an appearance Sunday at the London Film Festival -- where she went onstage for a sitdown interview with "Succession" creator Jesse Armstrong ... who asked her a bunch of questions, including what she had coming down the pike.

Gerwig didn't get into specifics about what exactly she was working on ... but confirmed she's already in the writing process for another feature, over which she's feeling apprehensive.

She says, "It’s hard and I’m having recurring nightmares." There's no video that's surfaced of her making this comment -- only recaps from outlets that were present -- so there's no real context as to the exact emphasis she placed on this, or what she even really means.

Some have characterized her remarks as feeling dread over re-entering the writing process ... but the quote on its own is a little strange, considering "Barbie" was light-hearted and easy viewing -- not to mention a complete home run crowd pleaser.

What we can surmise is that "Barbie 2" isn't what she's talking about. There's been no word on a green-lit sequel yet -- despite the OG's success -- any inkling of that would've leaked out by now if it was already happening. Then again, the WGA strike did just end -- so ... 🤷🏽‍♂️

Worth noting ... "Barbie" is Greta's first big mainstream blockbuster, and is incredibly different in tone from everything else she's worked on. She's got an indie background, and if her nightmare quip is any indication -- she might be headed into heavier waters for now.

British Filmmaker Terence Davies Dead at 77

Terence Davies -- a staple director in modern British cinema -- has died.

His own social media account made the sad announcement Saturday, posting a photo of Davies and writing ... "It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Terence Davies, who died peacefully at home after a short illness, today on 7th October 2023."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

There are a couple of axioms/poems attached as well touching on the fleeting nature of life. In his IG Story, there's a touching obit attached, noting him as a filmmaker of poignant films.

Davies is perhaps best known for his slice-of-life aesthetic -- which was always infused in his films depicting Brits throughout different time periods ... especially the working class. The one film he'll for sure be remembered for is 'Distant Voices, Still Lives' -- a famed 2-parter.

He's got several other standout films ... like 'Benediction,' 'A Quiet Passion,' 'The Deep Blue Sea,' 'The Long Day Closes,' 'Sunset Song' and 'House of Mirth,' among others.

Davies' movies were often nominated for international awards, including BAFTAs, and he tended to do well at film festivals overseas as well. He'd worked alongside some big time actors over the years -- Cynthia Nixon, Dan Aykroyd, Laura Linney, Rachel Weisz, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Bonnar, Gillian Anderson, Emma Bell, Pete Postlethwaite and more.

He was 77.
