The video showing Diddy's hotel assault of Cassie isn't only fueling public outrage -- high-ranking NYC politicians want him to suffer one immediate consequence ... TMZ has learned.

Leaders in Diddy's hometown are turning on him, with several NYC council members encouraging Mayor Eric Adams to revoke the Bad Boy Records founder's symbolic key to the city.

Council Member Sandy Nurse tells TMZ … "Mayor Adams should immediately revoke Diddy’s key to the city. As an abuser, Diddy lost his right to have such an honor and should be held accountable for his actions. Mayor Adams should set the example and take it away."

Diddy is facing yet another lawsuit filed by a former model who claims the disgraced mogul enticed her with promises of career advancement, but she claims his plan was far more sinister.

Crystal McKinney claims in the suit, obtained by TMZ, in 2003 -- when she was 22 -- she was invited to a Men's Fashion Week event at Cipriani Downtown in NYC. She met Combs at the event and he invited her back to his studio.

She says shortly after their arrival, Combs and several colleagues were drinking Hennessy and passing around joints. She took a hit, which she said was "very powerful," and felt as if she was floating. She claims the joint had been laced with a narcotic or other drug.

Nas is honoring his debut album "Illmatic" -- still hailed as one of the greatest rap albums ever -- by bringing his Queensbridge poetry to the bright lights of Las Vegas and adding a symphony!

The album turned 30 last month ... so, over Labor Day weekend, Nas and the Las Vegas Philharmonic will tackle a 3-day concert series inside Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

Nas promised to live up to the hype as he announced the shows, declaring ... “Las Vegas has always served as a creative outlet for my music, and these performances will take that to the next level.”

9:53 AM PT -- Cam'ron isn't apologizing for his behavior during last night's wild CNN interview.

On his "It Is What It Is" sports show he cohosts with former Bad Boy rapper Ma$e, the Harlem rapper said CNN only contacted him to talk BS, so he gave them just that -- a BS interview!!!

Common says he's not keeping up on news that brings bad energy, and that includes Diddy's videotaped beating of Cassie -- he's avoiding it altogether, and trying to focus on the positives in his own life.

TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the legendary lyricist Monday in Bev Hills, where he slyly sidestepped our question about popping THE question to Jennifer Hudson. Instead, Common assured us he and Pete Rock were about to bring the heat with a new collab album.

As for why he's avoiding the latest on Diddy, Common reiterated his mantra is all about peace and love ... he's coming off a two-part harmonious album named 'A Beautiful Revolution,' so his track record backs that up.

Eminem cleaned out his closet and put on a tux this weekend -- 'cause his daughter got hitched ... and the father of the bride was front and center to see his little girl through it all.

The rapper's second oldest kid, Hailie Jade Scott, married her fiancé Evan McClintock Saturday in Battle Creek, MI -- at a ceremony we're told was modestly sized with close friends and family.

Peloton is swearing off Diddy's music for all future workouts -- this after the horrifying 2016 clip of the rapper beating his ex, Cassie, emerged.

On its private member's Facebook page, the fitness company stated, "We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton has paused the use of Sean Combs' music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform."

They add, "This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes. Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and thank you for being a member of our Peloton community."

Baby Bash wasn't about to let his fans starve after he rocked the stage and the "Suga Suga" rapper dropped mucho dinero to feed the flock!!!

Bash performed at Santa Clarita's Tequila and Taco Festival on Saturday around 10 p.m. but ironically, he didn't get a chance to eat any for himself -- the stands shut down by the time he was finished.

He rallied the lingering fans backstage and invited them to storm the street with him, and eat any tacos they could find -- they stumbled onto a local vendor who was being moved off the block, but Bash saved the day with big bucks.

Charlamagne Tha God, Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy of "The Breakfast Club" are showing Diddy no mercy for his "apology" for assaulting Cassie -- and they think he's only sorry because he got caught!!!

Diddy's apology video -- posted Sunday morning -- earned him "Donkey of the Day" from Charlamagne on Monday. CTG's angry reaction included him advocating for Cassie's 2nd Amendment rights, wishing she had been armed and ready in 2016 when Diddy assaulted her in the hotel hallway.

'Breakfast Club' was simulcast for years on Revolt, the Diddy-cofounded platform, prompting some viewers to accuse the hosts of showing favoritism ... claims they shot down along with Diddy's credibility during the segment.

There are lots of reasons to drag Diddy over his video apology -- the public outrage is still fresh over what he did to Cassie -- but when it comes to him not saying her name in the mea culpa ... there's a legal reason he couldn't.

As you know, Diddy and Cassie reached a settlement one day after she filed her sexual assault lawsuit against him in November -- and sources familiar with the agreement tell TMZ ... it includes a very strict NDA, which prevents both of them from speaking about each other in public.

You'll notice -- since the release of the 2016 beating video -- you have not seen or heard Cassie trashing Diddy, as you'd expect.

Rich The Kid just took a plea deal in his Miami Beach trespass and resisting arrest case from December that impeded a bomb threat investigation ... TMZ Hip Hop has learned.

We're told the "Carnival" rapper agreed to plead no contest to the resisting arrest and trespassing charges on Monday in exchange for avoiding jail time with a sentence of time served for the 1 day he already spent in Miami-Dade County jail at the time of the arrest ... and a $1,000 fine.

Kristin Chenoweth is weighing in on the Diddy-Cassie saga – and somewhat surprisingly ... she says she's praying for the guy, noting this chapter hits close to home for her.

The actress spoke out on the 2016 video making the rounds – which shows Diddy beating on Cassie – and says she has her own reasons for being rattled by the footage ... which is why she admitted to her X followers that he's in her thoughts.

The comment raised alarms among her fans, who asked for more insight into her cryptic response -- while some were quick to slam her for seemingly empathizing with him.
