AwesomenessTV Sued In A Battle Of The Betches
YouTube network AwesomenessTV and online magazine Betches are at war ... and it's all over who's the bigger betch.
Betches is suing the YouTube network for slapping the word "betch" on several web series.
Betches says they own the trademark for the word "Betches" and AwesomenessTV has been skating a fine line by using the word in several satirical comedy series with titles like, "Betch: A Sketch Show" and "Ariana Grande Is Good At Everything - Betch!," among others.
When Betches asked them to stop, AwesomenessTV refused pointing out "betch" is fair game since it's a slang term used in colloquial American English.
Betches is asking AwesomenessTV to stop using their famous word and fork any profits they've made from using it.
AwesomenessTV tells TMZ Betches does not have a trademark to use the term "betches" for content.

'Revenge Of The Nerds II' Star Sues Landlord for Insinuating He's a Pedophile
'Revenge Of The Nerds II' star Barry Sobel is suing his landlord for dragging his name through the mud in a comment posted on YouTube.
Sobel had filed a lawsuit against his landlord for refusing to do repairs on his San Fran rental and sending him harassing texts, but he says things escalated when the landlord took things online.
Sobel claims his landlord posted a comment on a video of him on a Johnny Carson show in the '80s that read, "this guy has been caught multiple times with underage boys at his house. A true scumbag." The user name on the comment is different from the landlord's, but Sobel says they're one in the same.
Sobel has now filed a new lawsuit, claiming defamation. He wants more than a million bucks.

Martin Shkreli Hi, This is the FBI
1:20 PM PST -- The FBI just released a statement saying they didn't seize Shkreli's Wu-Tang Clan album. He's been released on a $5 million bond.
Hours before Martin Shkreli got busted by the feds ... he apparently got a phone call from them, and the whole thing played out during a live online chat.
Shkreli was live streaming on YouTube Wednesday night when his phone rang. You gotta see how it plays out when the caller ID's himself as a "special agent."
We'll say this ... Shkreli seemed about as chill as a you'd expect for a guy who blew $2 million on one album.
Even if the call was fake ... the timing is hysterical since FBI agents ended up arresting Shkreli at his Manhattan apartment for securities fraud.
He's still in custody, and probably wishing he'd taken the call.

YouTube Star Steven Fernandez Arrested for Sex Plot with 12-yr-old
2:00 PM PST -- An attorney for Keelan Dadd tells TMZ "Mr. Dadd had no involvement whatsoever in this incident. Several weeks ago, he voluntarily met with detectives when requested to do so. After being apprised of the allegations against him and expressing his innocence, Mr. Dadd was arrested by Detective Flores of the Los Angeles Police Department. Mr. Dadd’s attorney, Anthony Willoughby, contacted Detective Flores and articulated that he could provide authorities with objective evidence proving that Mr. Dadd was not present during any of the alleged events. Instead, in a miscarriage of justice and Mr. Dadd’s due process rights, Detective Flores stated that regardless of any objective evidence, he would proceed forth with presenting the case to the District Attorney."
12:30 PM PST -- An attorney for Steven tells TMZ the 15-year-old was victimized by the other adults involved much like the alleged victim was taken advantage of. He says Barajas and Dadd preyed on Steven's celebrity status and not all of the facts of the investigation have been laid out.
7:45 AM PST -- According to the LAPD -- an investigation began last month -- the alleged victim told cops Fernandez lured her into a car, promised to introduce her to celebs and give her an appearance on his non-existent MTV show. Fernandez and Barajas were arrested during a sting by detectives just a few days later who pretended to be the 12-year-old girl and arranged a meeting through text messages at an abandoned house for sex. Dadd later turned himself in. Cops are still looking for more possible victims.
15-year-old YouTube star and skateboarder Steven Fernandez was arrested Wednesday after cops say he used his celebrity status to sexually exploit an underage girl.
Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Fernandez met a 12-year-old girl in his hometown of Compton last month and allegedly promised he'd introduce her to big name celebs in exchange for sexual acts. We're told the girl agreed and a sexual act was committed.
Cops were alerted shortly after and LAPD officers arrested Fernandez and 2 adults -- his manager Jose Barajas and another skater, 27-year-old Keelan Dadd. We're told all 3 were booked for sexual exploitation of a 12-year-old.
Steven's gained a huge social media following. In one of his videos ... Fernandez uses pickup lines on women. The video is unrelated to the arrest.

'Cholos Try Vegan' Star I'm So Famous a Cop Let Me Skate!
One of the stars of "Cholos Try Vegan Food" got a taste of celebrity early Tuesday morning when he was stopped by a cop who recognized him and sent him on his merry way.
Fabian Alomar was heading home from the Staples Center when cops pulled him and a female friend over for a blown out headlight. Fabian says he was expecting the worst after cops ordered them to put their hands up.
Fabian almost blew it by pulling the "Do you know who I am?" card with the first cop, who was not impressed. But the second cop was a Latina who saw the video, and she was clearly impressed and ultimately let him go with a warning to get his light fixed.
Fact is ... cops have discretion and often don't write motorists up with blown out lights, but when you watch the video Fabian's newfound fame clearly didn't hurt.
If you haven't seen it, the video is HILARIOUS .... the Cholos mistake kale chips for bud and kombucha for a tribe of ancient warriors.

Raft Fighting Sisters We Might Get Fired Over Viral Video
The sisters whose river rafting brawl video went viral are blaming their violent, yet hysterical fight on booze and bitchiness -- and say it could end up costing them their jobs.
Sisters/sparring partners Jessica and Jasmine Boling tell TMZ their rafting expedition down the Nantahala River in NC went south when they squabbled over who was going to guide the raft.
It also didn't help that they'd been drinking earlier. They say the fight continued long after the clip ends ... and Jasmine had to be dropped off mid-river because she was too wasted and aggro.
While they eventually hugged it out ... the real problem is they work for the company they were rafting with during the fight. Even though they weren't on the clock, they tell us Big Creek Expeditions isn't stoked about the bad pr ... so they could get fired.
A Big Creek rep tells us they're still deciding what, if anything, to do to the sisters -- who claim they're normally "really sweet." We're sure.

Caleb Logan Bratayley 13-Year-Old YouTube Star Dies Mysteriously
Caleb Logan Bratayley seemed like a perfectly healthy 13-year-old one hour -- and the next ... the YouTube star was dead, and the only explanation so far is he suffered a "medical emergency."
Caleb -- whose family has racked up more than a billion YouTube views -- died Thursday night in Maryland. Law enforcement sources tell us a 911 call was placed at 7 PM, and police and fire responded to the family's home.
We're told Caleb was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
It is a puzzling death because he's only 13. When the family announced the tragedy they only said he "passed away of natural causes." Our sources say it was not suicide, there were no drugs, and there is no history of drug use. The 911 call was for a "medical emergency."
The coroner will conduct an autopsy as part of its investigation.

Roberts filed docs against director Rob Bliss and Hollaback! -- the anti-street harassment group -- for using her likeness to promote their agenda.
