Jonathan Majors is explaining why he keeps bringing Coretta Scott King's name into his relationships ... telling us Martin Luther King's widow is an inspiration.

The actor invoked Coretta's name in his first sit-down interview since being found guilty of assault and harassment, drawing the ire of Coretta and MLK's daughter ... and now he's responding to pushback.

Jonathan tells TMZ ... "My intention was to convey my utmost respect for Coretta Scott King, her achievements, and both her personal legacy and the one she shares with her husband, Dr. Martin Luther King."

In his ABC interview, Jonathan praised girlfriend Meagan Good for sticking by his side ... saying, "She's an angel ... she's held me down like a Coretta. I'm so blessed to have her."

As we reported ... Dr. Bernice King seemingly called out Jonathan online after the interview aired, posting ... "My mother wasn't a prop."

Now, Jonathan tells us Coretta "is a great woman, a very important figure in American and world history, and someone both Meagan and I are inspired by and deeply admire."

Jonathan's trial also included audio clips where he's telling his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari to be more like Coretta and Michelle Obama. Jabbari's the woman he was convicted of assaulting and harassing.

Alan Ruck was seen walking around with support at the Golden Globes this past weekend -- and while we know exactly where your mind's going on why ... there's another explanation.

The 'Succession' star was on hand Sunday in L.A. for the big award show, and folks immediately noticed he was using a cane to get around the red carpet. He didn't say anything about it in the moment -- but folks thought this was car crash-related.

Remember, Alan got into a nasty wreck out here in Hollywood when he lost control of his fancy electric truck and smashed through a wall a pizza parlor -- which caused a big scene and a lot of damage.

While Alan was seemingly uninjured at the time -- he did walk around with a knee sleeve in the days after ... and there, too, people thought he'd gotten a little banged up in the accident.

Now, here he is with another assist ... and the speculation has picked up all over again. Welp, we've got some answers -- and this isn't what it seems. Sources close to Alan tell TMZ his cane is actually helping him with an unrelated ailment he's been dealing with lately.

We're told Alan underwent a full knee replacement surgery just 3 and a half weeks ago -- this after suffering from arthritis for some time now. So, that's why he was using it.

If it wasn't clear from that ... no, this cane was not a fashion statement -- we're told AR absolutely needs it, and he's putting it to good use early and often. It's interesting (and miraculous) that he wasn't seriously hurt during the October wreck.

Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber had a police interaction while running errands in Beverly Hills ... with Kendall getting pulled over and ticketed.

The models were tooling through Bev Hills in Kendall's Mercedes-Benz G500 Cabriolet when she got stopped by the cops ... and paparazzi captured it all. Sorry, no Axel Foley this time.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Kendall was cited for running through a stop sign, and she was sent on her way after being ticketed.

We're told Kendall was driving Tuesday near the Beverly Hills Hotel with Hailey riding shotgun when she was pulled over.

It looks like Kendall and Hailey took it all in stride ... they were seen laughing and smiling with the cop.

The rapper -- who's in the middle of a criminal trial right now -- randomly told his followers to call him by the s-word years ago and the shirt's full message read, "SEX Records: Truly Humble Under God." Indeed, he was wearing this right there in front of the judge and jury.

His lawyer Brian Steele argued back in November that his rap name was an acronym for "Truly Humble Under God" ... and the "Young" was an ode to Tupac Shakur.

A calm and collected YT's bold wardrobe choice didn't seem to alarm his legal counsel ... the retired police sergeant reporting on the trial had a difference in opinion, though.

Ari Lennox is painting Rod Wave's Nostalgia Tour as the concert series from Hell -- this after she says she survived attacks from unruly fans, who she labels as pretty evil.

Ari broke her silence, going live on social about her time opening up for the "Heart on Ice" singer -- which went down last year -- including the November concert in L.A., where she walked off stage after being pelted with a water bottle.

Ari claims Rod's fans fed her nothing but dark energy from certain corners of the venue and she was terrified. She also openly wonders why Rod's base was so aggressive -- and defended her lashing out at times while onstage.

It's pretty disheartening to hear ... Ari clearly had a bad time on tour, and it sounds like she went through a lot. But, she was professional and powered through it regardless.

As for the bottle, the culprit was eventually caught, but Ari spoke of an uneasiness during her time on stage ... she specializes in RNB X vibes and the crowd RW brings out didn't embrace what she brought to the stage.

Now, Rod hasn't addressed Ari's grievances like he did when Boosie Badazz called him out about uncleared samples ... for now, he's been mum on the whole thing.

The actress/pop star went over to T-Swift's table at some point during the show -- a moment that was captured on a b-roll fan cam that was being broadcast from the Globes' own site ... showing behind-the-scenes stuff that didn't end up on TV.

Welp, eagle-eyed fans noticed this little meetup ... where SG rolls up on TayTay and a pal, Keleigh Teller, whispers something into Taylor's ear -- and then mouths something to her as well.

Keleigh, who's next to Taylor, appears to say "Timothée" and you see Selena nod emphatically.

While you can't hear much in the main clip circulating online, there's another video taken by a THR reporter who was standing nearby -- and who filmed part of this conversation. In their clip, you can hear Keleigh clearly say/ask "Timothée" ... just as many suspected.

Here's what the Internet thinks Selena said ... "I asked for a picture with him and she said no." Taylor looks shocked to hear this, and then the friend next to her asks if Selena means Timothée Chalamet ... and Selena confirms with the biggest, most exaggerated head gesture ever.

Of course, Kylie and Tim were in the building too ... and they were getting cozy throughout the show. It's unclear if/when Selena might've gone over there to chat -- but if what fans think they're seeing here is true ... it's interesting considering the interlinked history from all sides.

For starters, there's perceived bad blood between Selena and Kylie ... as well as with Hailey Bieber -- 'memba the whole "Mean Girls" eyebrows things? -- but they tried stamping that out.

When it comes to TC ... Selena shot a movie with the dude years ago, as love interests.

It'd only be natural for Selena to come on over and try to say hi to Timmy -- and a picture certainly wouldn't be out of the question either. You gotta wonder how exactly this may have gone down, and whether it was in Tim's presence or not ... assuming it happened at all.

Cops investigating Ian Ziering's crazy biker brawl are zeroing in on at least one of the bikers for vandalism charges ... and, as of now, they're not as concerned about the fight side of things.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... the main focus of the case is a potential felony vandalism charge against the bikers for damaging Ian's car, but no arrests have been made yet.

We're told the new videos that emerged, in which Ian is seen initiating the violence by pushing one of the bikers, show this fight could be considered mutual combat. If that's the case, battery charges are unlikely, especially since none of the bikers have filed a police report.

Let's face it ... that wouldn't be a very biker gang thing to do.

Another reason they're not running to cops ... we're told the mini motorbikes they were riding are illegal to ride on public streets or freeways.

As for the vandalism -- one of the bikers is seen clearly on video using a helmet to smash Ian's windshield. When the case gets submitted, however, the L.A. District Attorney can add battery charges if they feel the evidence is there.

Jim Gaffigan took the oxygen out of the room during while presenting an award at the Golden Globes -- and it's because he somewhat referenced Jeffrey Epstein-esque material.

The longtime standup was on hand Sunday to hand out the award for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television -- a whole new category that the GG are starting to include ... and while acknowledging how wild that development was, JG made a jaw-dropping joke.

He was talking about how crazy it is he's even in showbiz, saying ... "I'm from a small town in Indiana, I'm not a pedophile." A handful of people laughed, but it was mostly dead silent.

Jim went on to rhetorically ask if "pedophile" was a new category there, but noted he was happy to be presenting an award for comics with big specials ... arguing it was overdue.

Eventually, he announced the winner as Ricky Gervais for his new Netflix show -- but the guy didn't show up, so Jim accepted on his behalf. The whole bit was very dry and sarcastic, in typical Jim fashion, but his crack felt like a little too soon for the ritzy crowd.

That said, some people did appear to laugh ... including Taylor Swift, who apparently found some of what Jim had to say funny, specifically toward the end his very brief set.

Jo Koy's opening monologue at the Golden Globes this year was a little ... well, up and down -- and the audience seemed to let him know early and often.

The comedian kinda came out with kid gloves at first during Sunday's broadcast, praising everyone and talking about how big of a moment it was for all the nominees ... and for himself. Eventually, he launched into some attempted ribbing at some of the movies.

For starters, his jokes about 'Barbie' didn't land with the audience all that well -- probably because he was a little crude in characterizing what it was about ... a doll with "big boobs."

There were some groans in the crowd ... and Jo noted he only had about a week and a half or so prepare this monologue -- acknowledging not everything he wrote (or had written for him) was going to kill. And yet, he continued on with some other zingers that fizzled out.

JK made light of Barry Keoghan's penis in 'Saltburn' ... suggesting it had made its way to Bradley Cooper's face in 'Maestro' -- obviously referring to prosthetic nose he rocked.

There was a lot more -- and it was vey uneven ... lasting about 10 minutes. While he was able to get through it in the end, Twitter/X was letting Jo have it online ... with bad reviews.
