Ryan Seacrest Simon Supporter?

Ryan Seacrest no longer shares a show with good friend Simon Cowell, but the question is ... does the "American Idol" host watch his pal's new show, "X-Factor"?

'X Factor' Unintentional Reuniter of Sweaty '80s Glam Band

He lost out on $5 mil ... but "X Factor" reject Dexter Haygood got one hell of a parting gift from the show ... a chance at a reunion with his old band -- the first all black rock group ever featured on MTV.

Haygood was the frontman of the funk/rock sextet known as Xavion -- they were huge in the '80s ... for a minute ... even briefly touring with Hall & Oates.

But the guys went their separate ways ... and completely lost touch with Haygood ... unaware that he struggled with substance abuse and wound up on the streets.

So, when Haygood appeared on the show as a contestant ... the other band members were shocked -- and most of the guys instantly reached out to their old friend.

Now, TMZ has learned ... the guys are hoping to get the whole band back together in an effort to put together some reunion shows ... or even perform on "X Factor" ... if producers are up for it.

TMZ spoke with Dexter ... who tell us, "I'm really excited to work with my old band," adding "I'm more than hopeful that 'The X Factor' will invite us to perform on the finale."

Fingers crossed.

Pissing Match Erupts Between 'X Factor' & 'Dancing' THE PHOTO

A battle over the crapper is underway at the studio where "X Factor" and "Dancing with the Stars" are taped ... rife with allegations of toilet squatting ... and TMZ has obtained a photo of the sign that set the whole thing off.

Both shows tape at the legendary CBS Studios in Hollywood -- and recently, one of the common restrooms contained a sign with the "X Factor" logo.

Someone named Rob who works at "Dancing with the Stars" felt the "X Factor" people were claiming the bathroom as their own ... so he left an angry note right on the door which reads, "These restrooms are for everyone. If you have a problem with that, come see me. I’m on stage 46. Just ask for Rob. I’m the 6’ 3” black man.”

An “X Factor” spokeswoman told the NY Post the show wants to extend an olive branch to the note writer ... saying, "Please tell Rob he’s welcome to use our restrooms anytime!”

Simon Cowell Targeted in "X Factor" Sabotage Plot

There is a war brewing behind the scenes at "X Factor" ... with two judges vowing to destroy each other ... and TMZ has learned it's the contestants who could feel the repercussions.

Sources connected to the show tell us ... ever since judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were assigned to mentor competing groups of contestants on the show (Reid with the boys, Cowell the girls) ... the two have been ruthless with each other ... even after the cameras turned off.

Our spies overheard Reid telling people he plans to play "mind games" and "dirty tricks" with the members of Cowell's team ... explaining, "Even if I have to give really bad advice to the other contestants when their mentors are not around ... I will!"

We're told Cowell seemed to be wise to the scheme ... and even called Reid out on it after a rehearsal ... but sources say L.A. is adamant he'll do "whatever it takes" to win and doesn't plan on letting up anytime soon.

Dirty.

Simon Cowell Will Smith's MASSIVE Trailer Is Too Small for Me!

The trailer Will Smith used for "Men In Black III" was too big for New York City ... but it's become too SMALL for the "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell ... because contestants on the show have taken it over!

Sources close to the show tell TMZ ... Simon is using the EXACT same trailer on the set of "X Factor" that Will used back in May. We're told Simon considers it his home away from home and he spends more time there these days than at his home.

According to our sources, not only does Simon relax in it ... but he takes his meetings there and the "X Factor" crew films in it as well. The trailer is 1,200 square feet, but we're told Simon already has his eyes on getting a BIGGER one because so many of the all the crew and passersby who've taken to hanging out there.

Contestants on the show have taken to hanging out in the behemoth too -- the group Stereo Hogzz jokingly posted a pic of themselves hanging out around the trailer.

Pharrell Williams X-Factor's Like a 3-Boob'd Lady

Rapper Pharrell Williams put "X-Factor" in the most bizarre nutshell of all time ... claiming the show is just like "a girl with three t*ts."

Pharrell joins "X-Factor" as a guest judge this Sunday -- and while taping one of the segments, he told producers, X is "like a trifecta. It’s like you’re getting rock, you’re getting alternative mentality, you’re getting hip-hop influence, you’re getting the visuals."

Pharrell added, "Just being one thing is boring, right? You know, a girl with three t*ts ... that’s where it’s at!"

If you're not convinced, here's the 3-breasted woman from "Total Recall." We rest our case.

"X-Factor" Contestant Pressing On After Father Dies

42-year-old "X-Factor" contestant and single mom Stacy Francis was rocked to the core two weeks ago -- after learning her father had died -- but after an agonizing inner struggle, she's decided to continue with the show.

Stacy made it to round two last month -- receiving unanimous approval from the judges for her blowout audition (below) -- but soon after launching into the "X-Factor" boot camp, she received news her father had unexpectedly passed.

Sources close to Stacy tell TMZ -- Stacy strongly considered quitting the show to be with her family -- but ultimately decided to stay ... believing that's what her father would have wanted.

One source tells us, “it has been such an emotional roller coaster for her.”

"X Factor" Contestant Redemption Tale Includes Brushes with the Law

Simon Cowell isn't the only judge "X Factor" contestant Chris Rene has faced in his life -- TMZ has learned Rene was busted twice for drugs ... before he finally found sobriety.

According to police records, Rene was busted in January 2007 for possession of a controlled substance (meth). The case was dropped in 2008 after Rene completed a diversion program.

Rene's drug history goes all the way back to 2002. According to law enforcement sources, Rene was popped in West Hollywood in 2002 for felony possession of cocaine. That case was dismissed after he served probation.

Last week on "X Factor" ... Simon put Chris through to the next round -- provided he "stays on the right track."

So far, so good.

'X-Factor' vs. 'American Idol' Who'd You Rather?

Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Steve Jones are the cast of the new singing reality competition show "The X-Factor" -- while Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest rule the roost on "American Idol."

Question is ...

More Who'd You Rather?

'X Factor' Contestant My Long-Lost Son Knows I'm His Daddy!

"X Factor" contestant Chris Rene got two pieces of good news this week -- he made it to the next round of the show ... and his long-lost son learned Chris is his biological father.

Chris had a son six years ago named Elijah that he never knew about, who ended up in foster care. Chris and the boy were re-united four years ago, but the foster parents referred to Chris (who has another son who is 3) only as a close family friend.

But Chris -- who we're told has spent an enormous amount of time with Elijah -- posted on his Facebook page today that Elijah asked his foster parents who his real dad was. The foster parents asked the boy to guess ... and he guessed it was Chris.

Chris wrote, "I am so happy i can't express my joy with words!!! I feel a new song coming though. So Blessed."

"The X Factor" Fishnet Shirt-Wearing Contestant Part of Polyamorist TV Pilot

1-7qbnex05

Siameze Floyd -- who exploded on the "X Factor" stage this week in a fishnet t-shirt -- has two huge secrets he didn't share on the show ... 1) he was raised in a polyamorist family, 2) he and his FIVE parents are putting together a reality show.

If you were lucky enough to catch Siameze's "X Factor" audition Wednesday night (below), it's probably not surprising ... but the promo for his family's new show -- tentatively titled "The Fabulous Floyds" -- is hilarious.

Sources close to the Floyds -- comprised of patriarch Eric Floyd, his four wives, his young daughter, and his son Siameze -- tell TMZ, several networks have already expressed interest in the show.

The show will follow Siameze and his family -- documenting their lives between L.A. and Las Vegas, where they live.

Fun fact: Siameze's biological mother -- and Eric's wife #1 -- is Wanda Dee, a platinum-selling singer from the '90s group "The KLF."

"X Factor" Dong Dancer I Wasn't Naked!

The Parents Television Council may be off base -- because the contestant who dropped trou on "The X Factor" last night tells TMZ, he wasn't naked ... he was wearing a g-string.

The singer -- Geo Godley -- tells us, his outfit was nothing worse than what you see at the beach -- insisting his performance was inspired by his Greek Island culture ... "We always dance in g-strings." Godley adds, "G-Strings are legal. The PTC have no complaint to make."

But Godley admits, he still got a little carried away -- adding, "I apologize to anyone that was exposed to my behind ... I had no intention of showing it and it was an accident when I fell. I was caught up in the moment."

He's definitely no Minka Kelly.

'X Factor' Parents Org Goes to FCC Over Dong-Exposing Contestant

"X Factor" ... more like XXX Factor ... if you ask the Parents Television Council -- which is now promising to file a formal indecency complaint with the FCC over the contestant who dropped trou on stage last night.

In case you missed it -- a wannabe singer named Geo Godley whipped out his junk in the middle of his performance on the show ... and it all aired on X Factor. Producers added a graphic to cover the guy's man zone.

But PTC President Tim Winter is furious ... saying, "If Godley performed his act in public, he would have been arrested. But if he performs it in front of a Fox camera, his act is beamed via the public airwaves into every home in the nation."

He adds, "The prolonged, previously videotaped footage of a contestant dancing nude on the ‘X Factor’ stage represents a conscious decision by the producers – with the approval of the network’s broadcast standards department – to intentionally air this content in front of millions of families during hours when they knew full well that children would be watching."

"The X Factor" Half the Show Of "Idol"

The big "X Factor" premiere last night fell way short of Simon Cowell's expectations -- earning just over half the ratings "American Idol" got during its premiere in January.

Simon's new show averaged an 8.7 rating, while the tenth season premiere of "Idol" pulled in a 16.4 -- and in last night's head-to-head ... "Modern Family" and "Criminal Minds" won out.

Simon called in to TMZ Live yesterday -- telling us, he desperately wanted to beat out his alma mater in the ratings department ... but based on last night's performance, that's gonna be an uphill battle.

To be fair -- the first ever episode of "American Idol" only scored a 6.1 in 2002 ... and has since had years to build a loyal audience. Then again, singing competitions were new back then.

Simon Cowell I Want to Beat "American Idol"

Simon Cowell is out for blood tonight on "X Factor" -- telling TMZ, he wants to beat "American Idol" (and every other show for that matter) in the ratings department.

The big "X Factor" premiere isn't competing head to head with "Idol" -- but Simon still wants to outrank his big competition, telling us, "You don't compete for the silver or the bronze ... You may not get the gold, but you die trying."

When we asked how X will measure up against similar singing competitions -- Simon responded, "It's definitely going to be better than the other shows."

As for what to look out for tonight -- Simon says the show is full of "nutcases" ... and one audition is especially terrifying.

Oh, as for what Simon thinks of "American Idol" without him -- well, he says, "It's not my cup of tea."

Rihanna Guest Judge on 'X-Factor'

Simon Cowell is pulling out all the stops to make sure the U.S. version of "The X Factor" is a hit -- we've learned he's snagged Rihanna as a guest judge.

Judges on the show bring on guests to help them decide which contestants to mentor -- and Antonio "L.A." Reid, who signed Rihanna back in 2005, will bring her on board to help him decide.

According to our sources ... RiRi loved doing the U.K. finale last year, and the feeling from Simon was obviously mutual.
