Nothing like a guys trip to Victoria's Secret ... at least for Team Spain -- because Sergio Ramos and his superstar teammates hit up the lingerie shop in D.C. today and TMZ Sports has the footage.

Ramos -- one of the best soccer players in the world -- hit up the thong section in VS while a female employee showed him a series of options ... likely a gift for his super hot GF Pilar Rubio.

But he wasn't alone ... Ramos was joined by Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina, midfielder Andres Iniesta and striker Pedro Rodriguez. Just about everyone was carrying a VS bag on the way out of the shop.

Team Spain is considered a front-runner to win the World Cup -- so, clearly they're doing something right.

The billionaire owner of the Ottawa Senators is begging soccer fans to BOYCOTT sponsors of the 2018 World Cup in Russia ... claiming it's a mistake to allow "Putin's army of war mongers" to host another global sporting event.

Eugene Melnyk -- a Canadian-born billionaire who's also the Chairman of the Campaign Advisory Committee for "United with Ukraine" -- just blasted FIFA for allowing Russia to host the '18 Cup.

"Major international sporting events such as the Olympics or FIFA’s World Cup serve as powerful forces of global unity and peace, not conflict and war."

Now, Melnyk and his organization are calling for soccer fans to boycott the major World Cup sponsors including Anheuser-Busch hoping it will pressure the powers that be to change the '18 venue.

"We are asking FIFA’s major partners to take a firm principled stand and demand FIFA immediately re-assign the 2018 World Cup to a more deserving nation," Melnyk says.

Everyone's jaws are on the floor over the news that Landon Donovan was cut from the Team USA World Cup squad ... including Cobi Jones who tells us plain and simple, "He belongs on the team."

32-year-old Donovan was one of 7 players chopped in the last round of cuts -- and Jones tells TMZ Sports, "My reaction was pure shock."

"Take Landon's skills and abilities ... he belongs on that team. He's above and beyond."

Jones adds, "I wasn't only expecting to see him on the team, I was expecting to see him compete for a starting spot."

Cobi says he doesn't think it's a slap in the face to Landon, who's been a staple on Team USA since 2000 ... explaining, "It's a difficult situation for everyone."

Brazil will be crawling with hookers this summer -- well, more hookers than usual -- because whores from all over the world tell TMZ Sports they'll be heading south for the World Cup ... to work.

A rep for Paris tells TMZ ... Paris was detained and questioned by police, after someone in her entourage allegedly was caught smoking marijuana at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, where the World Cup is being held.

We're told Paris has been released and cops even apologized for misidentifying her.

The rep claims the culprit has already pled guilty, paid a small fine and was released.
