WNBA Star Brittney Griner No Annulment! Still Married to Johnson
Brittney Griner's attempt to annul her marriage was shot down in an Arizona court.
WNBA superstar Griner had filed for the annulment back in June ... right after fellow hoopster and wife, Glory Johnson, announced she was pregnant with twins. An AZ judge rejected the annulment case on Thursday.
It's unclear where that leaves the unhappy couple -- presumably headed for divorce court.
It's been an insane year for Griner and Johnson -- they both got arrested for domestic violence in April, got married May 8th ... and 28 days later, Griner filed for annulment.
According to People, which first reported the failed annulment ... Johnson is now living in Tennessee near her family. Griner is still in AZ, playing for the Phoenix Mercury.
A rep says Glory is just focused on having a healthy pregnancy.

Brittney Griner I Knew About Pregnancy 'Surprised' By Announcement
Brittney Griner says she was blindsided by Glory Johnson's pregnancy announcement -- but it wasn't the fact she was preggo that shocked her, it was the timing.
Griner sat down with ESPN's Kate Fagan and said she was surprised that Johnson went public with the news when she did because "it's very early. It's too early to post or say anything about it."
As TMZ Sports previously reported, sources connected to the couple tell us Johnson has only been pregnant for less than a month.
It's still unclear whether or not Griner wants to have a relationship with the child -- or if she plans on helping out Johnson with the financial situation.
During the interview, Griner re-stated that getting married to Johnson was a "huge mistake" and said she only agreed because she felt pressured into it.
"With everything going on ... counseling, classes ... it wasn't the right way to start off a marriage like that."

We spoke with Johnson's sports marketing agent, D.J. Fisher, who tells us "Glory was unaware of the filing and still loves and cares for Brittney."
TMZ Sports broke the story ... Griner filed the court docs Friday -- saying Johnson essentially threatened her into getting married ... and claims the whole thing was a fraud.
Griner issued a statement saying, "Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage. In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. I now realize that was a mistake."
But Johnson's camp says Brittney's full of crap -- saying they NEVER agreed to annul the marriage.
Johnson's rep adds, "Glory loves Brittney and made a huge sacrifice to carry a child, put her career on hold, to invest in their relationship and their future. As a result she won't be playing this season."

Brittney Griner 7 Game Suspension Is Ridiculous ... Says WNBA Players Association
Brittney Griner is getting SCREWED by the WNBA -- so says the WNBA Players Association, which claims Griner's 7 game suspension for domestic violence is "excessive and inappropriate."
We broke the story ... Griner and her wife Glory Johnson were each hit with 7 game suspensions after they were both arrested for attacking each other at their AZ home on April 22nd.
So far, neither woman has appealed the punishment -- but the WNBA strongly believes they should.
"There is a significant segment of the WNBA players who feel that, while a suspension may have been warranted, a suspension of seven games (20% of the season) is excessive and inappropriate," a WNBA P.A. rep tells TMZ Sports.
The P.A. says it's concerned that the punishment would set an unfair precedent for the league -- considering both women were first time offenders.
The P.A. also says a 7 game suspension would have a "significant economic impact" on the WNBA as a league.
But the biggest problem, according to the P.A., the organization says it can't formally fight the league without Griner and Johnson giving their blessing -- and so far, they've been mum.
There's a deadline for the players to appeal -- June 4th -- so, the clock is ticking.
