President Donald Trump is, in fact, sending White House invitations to the Philadelphia Eagles ... after erronoeus reports suggested the Super Bowl winners would NOT be pulling up to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave!

On Tuesday, 47 confirmed his intentions to invite the Eagles squad to his home in D.C. ... while explaining the invitations just aren't in the mail, yet.

"They will be," Trump said of the invites while speaking with the press.

3:00 PM PT -- It turns out the Eagles have no beef with No. 47 after all --  with NFL insiders reporting the champs would be "honored" to visit the White House.

As NFL Network's Ian Rapoport put it ... the team is "excited about" the possibility and "look forward" to getting the invitation.

The Philadelphia Eagles have not formally rejected a visit to the White House ... that's because an invitation hasn't been extended yet, TMZ Sports has learned.

Reports that were published prior to the Super Bowl resurfaced over the weekend ... which stated if Jalen Hurts and Co. came out victorious against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9, they would not be making a trip to 1600 Penn to celebrate.

Of course, the Eagles ended up demolishing Patrick Mahomes' team, 40-22 ... preventing the Chiefs from executing the NFL's first-ever three-peat.

President Donald Trump is doubling down on plans to build statues for Kobe Bryant and Muhammad Ali ... telling a White House crowd the immortal U.S. athletes would forever be memorialized in the National Garden of American Heroes.
