Baker, Emily Mayfield We're Safe From Hurricane Helene But 'Community Got Pummeled'
Baker Mayfield's wife is providing an update after Hurricane Helene tore through the Southeast ... saying their family is safe and sound -- but her heart breaks for those less fortunate.
Emily Mayfield revealed their status in a social media post ... saying it was terrifying to experience the unknowns leading up to the violent storm, and they ultimately decided to get the Buccaneers quarterback, their baby girl and their dog out of the Tampa area on Thursday.
"Our sweet, sweet community got pummeled, but even that doesn't compare to the people up North who took this storm head on," Emily said. "It's unfathomable."

Hurricane Helene clobbered the Southeast coast of the United States with heavy winds and pouring rain Thursday night, leaving at least 4 people dead.
The Category 4 storm — which weather experts say causes catastrophic damage — first hit northwestern Florida carrying with it 140-mile-per-hour gusts that impacted the area around the Aucilla River in the Big Bend region of the state's Gulf Coast.
Shocking footage showed rising tides battering the Florida coastline, damaged houses engulfed in seawater and Marine deputies in rescue boats patrolling flooded neighborhoods.

Yellowstone National Park tourists were sent scrambling after an unexpected hydrothermal explosion occurred at a geyser there ... which left a destructive scene in the aftermath.
The incident took place Tuesday around the Biscuit Basin area of the park -- which is just over 2 miles away from Old Faithful. Luckily, there were no reports of injuries following the explosion ... however, it caused damage to the sightseeing boardwalk.
Biscuit Basin's parking lot and boardwalks are temporarily closed in order to prioritize visitor safety ... with YNP's geologists currently investigating the event. They say the hydrothermal explosion was not a sign of an impending volcanic eruption ... and said there's been no changes to the Yellowstone region as far as they can tell.
