KTLA weatherman Mark Kriski is recovering from a medical emergency -- as the beloved broadcaster suffered a mild stroke ... according to his wife, reporter Jennifer Gould.

Jennifer tells TMZ ... Mark suffered the stroke early Monday morning at their L.A. home. He was hospitalized, but she says he's on the road to recovery.

While he's still hospitalized, she says Mark is communicative, joking around and, generally, in good spirits. KTLA broke the news and just announced it on the air.

Certain areas in Houston are still reeling from the May 16 storm that toppled homes, and that's keeping Trae Tha Truth and his Relief Gang on the move -- without much sleep -- for days.

Trae tells TMZ Hip Hop he and the crew have managed to deliver over 1,000 meals to families, along with cutting fallen tree branches and removing debris ... but there's still much to be done.

The Houston rapper notes some people in low-income areas are still without power nearly 10 days later and others have resorted to sleeping in cars and checking in to hotels.

Tragedy struck in Mexico Wednesday when high winds ripped through a presidential campaign rally, collapsing the stage and taking the lives of 9 people.

The terrifying moment happened on camera as candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez campaigned in a city outside Monterrey -- and as he and several supporters got the crowd chanting, a sudden gust of wind tore down a large video screen at the back of the stage.

Álvarez Máynez and his team were seen scrambling in different directions to take cover as the scaffolding and screen came crashing down onto the stage.

The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, are normally only seen over places like Alaska, Canada and Scandinavia -- extreme northern latitudes -- but on Friday night the dazzling colors were seen dancing in the sky as far south as Texas and Alabama.

The shocking announcement came late Friday night, less than 24 hours before the all-day, outdoor festival was supposed to begin at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Event organizers said they were expecting a windy day and prepared for it, but then the National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning.

With the expectation of 30-35 mph sustained winds and wind gusts over 60 mph ... they decided to cancel the highly-anticipated concert, calling it the "safest decision for our fans, artists and staff."

A tornado in Nebraska made a lot of motorists' days scarier ... forming right on the side of a freeway before crossing over the motorway, a new viral video shows.

The video, currently making the rounds on social media, shows the tornado on the I-80 near Omaha finding its shape on one side of the roadway before spinning its way across multiple lanes of traffic to the other side of the road.

The weather event throws off some drivers ... who seem unsure how to proceed at the moment and either slow down or slam hard on the gas to get past it.

Ultimately, they're able to get to the other side successfully ... and video of what appears to be the same car cutting through the water is also online, only seen from a bird's eye view.

Check it out ... the tarmac at Dubai International -- the second busiest in the world -- was completely covered in water Tuesday, making it near impossible for even jumbo jets to maneuver. Hell, one plane had a freakin' wake behind it as it taxied on a runway.

The city was inundated with almost 5 inches of rain leaving the storm water almost as high as the tires on one nearby support vehicle.

A music festival in Texas that was entirely dedicated to the solar eclipse is now getting scrapped entirely -- and the reason is a little freaky ... an omen, even, perhaps.

The event is called Texas Eclipse 2024 ... a 5-day get-together in Burnet, TX -- which seems to be very much in the vein of Burning Man ... which you can sense from all their marketing and promotional material, not to mention all the pics and vids they have up on socials.

All was well for these past few days ... however, on Monday, the festival organizers broke some startling news -- namely, their whole event was just canceled over crappy weather.

The Georgia congresswomen tweeted out a warning to her fellow Americans Friday after an earthquake rocked the Northeast -- specifically New Jersey and New York. And let's not forget what happened in Taiwan ... of course, a solar eclipse is happening Monday too.

In her tweet, MTG says God's sending signals to the United States demanding repentance ... and claiming both the earthquake and next week's solar eclipse are signs from above.
