Tampa Bay Rays Get New 2025 Home ... After Hurricane Destroys The Trop

The Tampa Bay Rays have a new home for the 2025 season ... the team just announced it'll be playing in a minor league ballpark next year -- after Hurricane Milton ravaged Tropicana Field in October.

Rays owner Stuart Sternberg said in a statement Thursday that he, the MLB, and the Yankees reached an agreement this week that will allow his squad to move into the Pinstripes' Steinbrenner Field in Tampa for the foreseeable future.

Sternberg thanked the Rays' rival org. for the hospitality ... calling New York's helping hand gracious.

The viral Hurricane Milton dog, who was left tied to a fence in rising floodwaters by his owner, is no longer up for adoption after settling in with a new foster family ... but the local Humane Society is hoping this doesn't squash interest in other rescues.

Katie Stryker from the Leon County Humane Society tells TMZ ... Trooper, who was renamed after being rescued, is no longer accepting applications for adoption ... as his foster home will be given an opportunity to adopt the pup.

Even if the foster family chooses not to move forward with adoption, Katie says the "perfect home" will be in Trooper's future.

The viral sailor who braved Hurricane Milton on his tiny boat in Tampa, Florida reportedly has a checkered past ... with police alleging he once tried to light a woman on fire.

The alleged incident involving Joseph Malinowski -- better known as "Lieutenant Dan" on TikTok -- took place in February 2023, according to the New York Post, which cites Palm Beach County Sheriff's records.

The Post says cops claim Malinowski was arguing with a woman named Sarah Perry while she was smoking a cigarette about 20 feet away from him near West Palm Beach. She was with her brother and a friend.

Tampa Bay Rays Stingrays Safe Following Hurricane Milton ... Back In Florida Aquarium

The Tampa Bay Rays' stadium was hit hard by Hurricane Milton ... but fear not, fish lovers -- the stingrays that call Tropicana Field "home" were unharmed in the storm!!

The Florida Aquarium provided the update on Monday .... saying while the facility's roof sustained heavy damage -- the seven cownose stingrays that hang out near right-center field remained safe in their 35-foot habitat while Milton passed through.
