Four people have been killed and 17 injured after gunfire erupted in an entertainment district in Birmingham, Alabama over the weekend ... local police have confirmed.

Authorities say they are actively working to identify multiple shooters following the chaos in the Five Points South neighborhood Saturday ... which left Anitra Holloman, 21; Tahj Booker, 27; Carlos McCain, 27; and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr., 26; deceased.

The shooting took place on the sidewalk outside Hush, a popular hookah and cigar lounge ... where authorities say a vehicle pulled up next to the venue, and several shooters got out and unloaded "fully automatic" weapons on the crowd.

A cop and at least one passenger were injured in an NYC subway station when police opened fire on a man allegedly brandishing a knife ... and the intense scene was all caught on body cam.

In the footage from last Sunday in Brooklyn ... police can be heard yelling at a man to "drop the knife" he is holding -- a pretty wicked-looking long blade -- tasing him multiple times to no avail before he begins to chase after the one officer, resulting in them firing multiple rounds at him.

The suspect ... still holding the knife with a look of disbelief on his face ... falls to the floor with blood starting to pool around him, when one of the officers yells that he was hit by one of the rounds.

Alec Baldwin Wants Judge to Deny Reopening 'Rust' Case ... Original Dismissal Right Call

Alec Baldwin's asking the court not to reconsider its dismissal of the New Mexico criminal case against him over the fatal 2021 "Rust" shooting ... saying the state's conduct was egregious.

The actor's lawyers -- Alex Spiro and Luke Nikas -- put in the motion asking the court to deny the prosecution's request to reconsider its decision to dismiss the case against Baldwin ... saying prosecutors have presented no new evidence as to why this case should move forward.

12:07 PM PT -- The jury has just voted to sentence Carly Gregg to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder and attempted murder convictions and 10 years for evidence tampering. The judge says the sentences will run concurrently.

Carly appeared much more composed during sentencing ... no tears streaming down her face -- remaining calm while the judge explained the appeal process.

A 15-year-old Mississippi girl has been charged with murdering her mom -- and the events leading up to the fatal shooting were caught on camera -- as well as the victim's chilling screams mixed with gunfire.

Check out the footage ... which begins with Carly Gregg in a Nirvana shirt lurking around her house. At one point, Gregg peeked her head into the kitchen while holding something behind her back, later revealed to be a .357 Magnum handgun.

She then strolled out of frame into another part of the residence before several gunshots could be heard along with her mom, Ashley Smylie, yelling in pain.

He added ... "The president wasn’t even really supposed to go there ... and so we put together a security plan -- and that security plan worked."

Trump co-hosted a Spaces on X interview and he's talking about a wide range of topics, including Sunday's foiled would-be assassination attempt. Watch the video ... Martin County Sheriff's deputies are seen shouting orders at the alleged would-be shooter after he was pulled over on a Florida highway Sunday.

As Routh comes into frame, he is seen walking backward while holding his shirt high above his head ... proving he had no concealed weapons on his person after allegedly attempting to assassinate the former prez on a golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Trump Shooting-Attempt Suspect Ryan Wesley Routh in Court, Charges Announced

9:30 AM PT -- The U.S. District Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida released an affidavit ... in which an FBI agent claims Routh’s public Facebook post from July 10 urged followers to contact him via WhatsApp and points out records apparently placing the phone near the golf course from 1:59 AM to 1:31 PM on September 15 ... suggesting he was scouting the area before the attempted assassination.

The affidavit also notes Routh was seen fleeing in a Nissan SUV, which was later stopped by police. Routh was the sole occupant and acknowledged knowing why he was pulled over, according to authorities.

The Nissan’s license plate was apparently registered to a stolen Ford truck, and the agent says a witness near the golf course identified Routh at the vehicle stop as the person they had seen fleeing the scene.

Ryan Wesley Routh, the man suspected of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course Sunday, made his first appearance in Florida court Monday morning.

Routh was charged with 2 counts -- possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Routh will be back in court Monday, Sept. 23, for a formal detention hearing, and is set to be arraigned on Sept. 30.
