Rep. Steve Scalise Draining the Swamp (Sort of) with Trump Jr.
Later, gator. GOP House Majority Whip Steve Scalise went on a hunting trip with Donald Trump Jr. ... and they bagged a 9-foot alligator!!!
We got Steve at Reagan National Airport in D.C. and Scalise tells us the gator meat was finger-lickin' good, and gave us a taste of what it's like to hunt gators, fry 'em up and make gator jambalaya. Guess that's what Don Jr. had in mind when his father famously said, "drain the swamp."
He also defended President Trump's controversial stance on Puerto Rico's hurricane relief.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Steve and Don Jr. hit the bayou last week for Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry's annual gator hunt ... and they were joined by Kimberly Guilfoyle and GOP Rep. Brian Babin.
The congressman -- who was nearly fatally shot last year at the Congressional baseball practice -- has recovered enough to throw on some hunting gear and hit the swamp with his pals.
No word why Dick Cheney wasn't there, but we have a few guesses.

Floyd Mayweather Shooting Cops Stumped ... Still No Suspects
It's only been 5 months since a gunman opened fire on Floyd Mayweather's entourage in Atlanta -- wounding his bodyguard -- but cops now tell TMZ Sports the case has essentially gone cold.
No arrests. No suspects. No leads.
As we previously reported, Floyd and his entourage were returning to the Intercontinental hotel in Buckhead around 3 AM on April 9 when someone sprayed at least 12 shots at one of the sprinter vans in the caravan.
Floyd's bodyguard, Greg La Rosa, was shot in the leg and was rushed to the hospital. Miraculously, none of the other 6 people inside the sprinter van were hit.
In the wake of the shooting, cops said it appeared Floyd's crew was specifically targeted -- though it's unclear if the shooter was trying to kill Floyd.
Now, the Atlanta PD tells TMZ Sports ... "Investigators have followed up on all available leads, met with the victim, and attempted to locate video."
"Unfortunately, we have not been able to identify any suspects in this case."
Cops are still encouraging people with information to come forward.
As for Greg, he tells us ... the recovery is going very well and he expects to be 100%.

Disney Star David Henrie Arrested at LAX for Loaded Gun ... But, No Hard Feelings w/ Cops!!!
3:05 PM PT -- Henrie just released the statement he promised earlier on social media, and took full responsibility for the "situation." He apologized for any trouble he caused and said, "More than anything I am humiliated and embarrassed that this even happened." He also made sure to give another shout-out to TSA and LAPD.
1:56 PM PT -- We got David leaving jail, and he tells us the gun was his and totally legal. He's got nothing but respect for the officers who arrested him, and says he'll clear everything up later today.
"Wizards of Waverly Place" star David Henrie -- who costarred with Selena Gomez on the show -- was just arrested for carrying a loaded gun at LAX.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Henrie was going through a TSA screening Monday morning at the airport and agents discovered the weapon. We're told the gun was an M&P Shield 9mm pistol and it was loaded.
Henrie was immediately detained and taken to a nearby station.
Henrie starred as Gomez's brother on "Wizards of Waverly Place" from 2007-2012. He's also made appearances on "How I Met Your Mother" and "Arrested Development." David was also on "That's So Raven" for 12 episodes with Raven-Symone and Orlando Brown.
Brown's had his fair share of run-ins with the law -- with several arrests over the years -- he was most recently caught on surveillance in a burglary.
Henrie recently revealed he and his wife, Maria Cahill, are expecting a daughter. In announcing the pregnancy, Henrie said, "That reminds me. Where's my shotgun. I don't have a shotgun. Someone get me a shotgun!"
Jake T. Austin -- who played Henrie and Gomez's younger brother on the show -- was involved in a 4-car hit-and-run crash back in 2013.
We reached out to his reps ... so far, no word back. Henrie is still in custody.

SCOTUS Confirmation Hearing Kavanaugh Snubs Handshake From Parkland Victim's Dad
Brett Kavanaugh was in no mood to meet a father whose kid was killed during the Parkland shooting -- snubbing his handshake attempt during a SCOTUS confirmation hearing.
Judge Kavanaugh's morning session in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill was put on pause Tuesday, and as Trump's pick for the Supreme Court was getting up to leave ... Fred Guttenberg approached him out of nowhere with his hand extended.
He's the father of Jamie Guttenberg, one of the 17 killed earlier this year in the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School. Rather than engage Fred, however, Kavanaugh shot him a confused look and turned away ... refusing to talk to the guy.
Just walked up to Judge Kavanaugh as morning session ended. Put out my hand to introduce myself as Jaime Guttenberg's dad. He pulled his hand back, turned his back to me and walked away. I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence.
@fred_guttenberg
Fred addressed the awkward situation on social media, saying Kavanaugh apparently didn't want to "deal with the reality of gun violence." Fred's been incredibly outspoken about enacting more effective gun control in the wake of the shooting.
Kavanaugh is said to be a strong advocate of the 2nd Amendment, and many worry his appointment to the highest court in the land could derail any effort for changing gun laws nationally.

O.T. Genasis Cops Say Bar Argument Leads To Gun Threat
9:17 AM PT -- A source close to O.T. Genasis tells TMZ the dispute was over his ID and another rapper's ID. We're told at no time did any member of his crew pull out a gun or make any threats.
Who needs ID when you've got a gun?
O.T. Genasis rolled deep to The Good Nite bar in the San Fernando Valley early Thursday morning. We're told O.T. and his crew arrived after 1 AM with a bunch of girls, pushed past the bouncer and headed straight to the bar. Things got HEATED when the bartender asked the chicks for ID, and then --- according to cops -- out came the blue steel.
Law enforcement sources and eyewitnesses tell us ... someone in O.T.'s crew pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot up the place. The bartender snapped some pics, and that got the gunman pissed and he tried smashing the phone.

According to official documents -- obtained by TMZ Sports -- Greg's wife, Stephanie Lloyd, told police ... the ex-Steelers linebacker pointed a gun at her at their home on July 20, and "told me that if I f**k up I'm going to get one."
Stephanie says she managed to get in her car and leave the house -- but Greg called her on the phone and continued making threats.
"Doing stupid sh*t like this is how you end up in the morgue," Greg allegedly said.
Stephanie claims Greg insisted his gun was not loaded -- but she's scared nonetheless.
Stephanie filed for a restraining order against Greg, saying, "I have battled all types of abuse from my husband for years hoping that things would at some point get better ... I do not feel safe anymore."
Stephanie claims Greg "has a history of pointing guns at other people but this is the first time for me."

A rep for the company tells TMZ, "We have made a decision to cancel our three remaining Madden Classic qualifier events while we run a comprehensive review of safety protocols for competitors and spectators."
The statement continues, "We will work with our partners and our internal teams to establish a consistent level of security al all of our competitive gaming events.
The next Madden NFL 19 tournament is going on as scheduled, days after the shooting in Florida, but organizers are making major changes ... TMZ has learned.
Dennis C. Wiltshire -- a rep for FIAD Entertainment Group, which is putting on the EA-sponsored event in Dulles, VA -- tells us, his organization had a knee-jerk reaction after hearing about Sunday's shooting in Jacksonville, FL that left 3 people dead, and many others injured.
He says within minutes, they started scrambling to beef up security for their event which is going down Saturday and Sunday. Wiltshire says their efforts included contacting local law enforcement and their independent security contractors for the event. The Madden tourney will be part of a larger gaming convention called GEXCon.
Wiltshire tells us, in addition to ramped-up security and police officers on site, they've strictly prohibited all guns inside the event. He wouldn't comment on specifics of security screenings, to avoid tipping their hand to the public. BTW ... Virginia's an open carry state.
As we reported ... police say 24-year-old David Katz opened fire Sunday, injuring 11 people and killing 2 others before shooting himself. Audio of the opening shots were broadcast live.
A moment of silence is being planned for the Virginia tournament. Wiltshire says EA has yet to reach out to offer any official guidance on how to proceed.
