Tupac Crip Tied to Murder Case Gets Prison for Slinging Crack

EXCLUSIVE
- 2.7K shares
The reputed gang leader connected to Tupac's murder case is finally gonna do hard time -- but for a completely separate case ... TMZ has learned.
Darnell Brim is getting 10 years in federal prison after ATF agents caught him trying to sell crack cocaine. Brim is believed to be one of 4 men who were riding in the white Cadillac that pulled up to Suge Knight's car in 1996 in Las Vegas. Someone in that car opened fire, killing Tupac.
Brim was busted during a 2013 sting operation. He pled guilty to 2 felonies -- conspiracy to distribute crack and distribution of crack.
As you well know by now, Tupac's murder has never been solved, but according to 1996 LAPD records, investigators believed Brim -- a notorious South Side Compton Crips leader -- was in the white Caddy that was "used by the suspect(s) who shot Tupac Shakur."
Although he was never charged in the case, Brim was hit in a Compton drive-by shooting just 2 days after Tupac's murder -- and cops believe it was retaliation for Pac.

12:13 PM PT -- We've just obtained the mugshot of the suspect, Demonte Jackson.
Bun B got into a shoot-out inside his own home with an intruder who tried to make off with the rapper's wife's luxury car.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ around 5:45 last night, there was a knock at Bun B's door ... his wife, Queenie, opened it -- thinking it was a possible delivery -- to find a masked man holding a gun on the other side. The intruder demanded valuables, and Queenie offered up her Audi in the garage.
Bun B heard the commotion from upstairs, grabbed his gun, and confronted the intruder as he was getting into the Audi. A shootout between the two ensued, and the intruder ran away ... leaving his gun behind.
We're told several hours later, the masked man showed up at a Houston-area hospital with a gunshot injury to his shoulder.
The man was treated and then arrested for 2 counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count burglary.

YNW Melly State Seeks Death Penalty ... In Best Friend Murder Case
-
EXCLUSIVE
- 149.2K shares
YNW Melly's murder case just got way more serious than it already was ... because the State of Florida is seeking the death penalty.
As you know ... YNW Melly has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Cops say the rapper shot two of his friends back in October, then staged the crime scene to look like a drive-by shooting.
According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the State intends to seek the death penalty against Melly.
In the docs, the State says it believes it can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Melly killed his friends for financial gain, the murder was especially heinous, atrocious or cruel, and he committed homicide in a cold, calculated and premeditated manner. The State also believes Melly is a criminal gang member.
As we've reported ... cops say YNW Melly and his friend, Cortlen Henry, shot victims Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. in the head, torso and back. Police say Melly and Henry shot up their own car to make it look like a drive-by, and then dropped the victims off at the ER, where they were pronounced dead.
Florida is one of 30 States where capital punishment is legal.

Cardi B vs. Tasha K Blogger Goes HAM ... I Could've Blown You Away!!!
The blogger Cardi B is suing -- over some wild allegations -- just got served in a heated exchange with the process server ... one that included an apparent threat of gunfire.
We broke the story ... Cardi's going after Tasha K for claiming the rapper's a drug-using prostitute with herpes. Cardi's lawyers hired a process server to deliver the lawsuit to Tasha's residence Thursday night.
This audio from their run-in, obtained by TMZ, makes it clear things quickly got dicey.
You hear the server ID himself to Tasha and a male companion as they pull up to their home. Tasha got pissed because she says the guy was in her driveway, looking through her mail.
Although she was pissed, he does his job ... handing her the docs and delivering the line, "You've been served." Tasha responded by informing him she's within her rights to "blow something in your head."
The server assures her he didn't do anything illegal, but Tasha wasn't having it.
For the record, Cardi's suing Tasha -- and another blogger, Starmarie Ebony Jones -- for defamation, and wants their video posts about her deleted.

Kodak Black Border Bust Could Trigger Bond Revocation ... In Sexual Misconduct Case
Kodak Black's bust at the Canada-U.S. border could have HUGE ramifications ... in South Carolina.
Sources in the Florence County Solicitor’s Office tell TMZ ... prosecutors in the Palmetto State have the rapper's drugs and gun bust on their radar and are currently reviewing the case to determine if he violated bond conditions in his sexual misconduct case.
We're told if it's determined Kodak violated the terms, prosecutors would hold a hearing where they'll ask a judge to revoke his bond. Last we checked, prosecutors have yet to do that.
As we reported ... Kodak was indicted in April 2017 after he was accused of sexually assaulting a teenager at a hotel in South Carolina. He's been out on $100k bond ever since.
Fast forward to earlier this week ... cops found a Glock 9mm pistol and weed in the Cadillac Escalade the rapper was driving after he tried crossing back on U.S. soil at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.
As we told you ... Kodak blamed his damn GPS for making him drive into Canada. He posted a $20k cash bond and hid behind a wad of cash as he left jail.
We reached out to Kodak Black’s attorney, Beattie Ashmore, to ask about possible bond revocation following the latest bust ... but he had no comment.

Nipsey Hussle Murder New Vid Shows Getaway Driver's Connection to Murderer
Nipsey Hussle's murderer made a mad dash to a car with a driver who was waiting to speed away from the murder scene -- and it's all captured on video.
TMZ has seen the video -- shot from a surveillance camera in the area. You see the shooter race down an alley to the waiting car. The killer stops at the car for a second, then gets inside the passenger seat and the driver floors it. It's apparent from the video ... the driver was waiting to bolt from the scene.
As we reported, the driver of the car was interviewed by LAPD detectives 2 days after the murder, but was allowed to leave without being arrested. As we reported, law enforcement sources told TMZ, "Sometimes you have to give a little to get a lot." The clear intimation ... the driver was giving cops info.
It's now been several weeks and the driver still has not been arrested, although, our law enforcement sources tell us the LAPD and the L.A. County D.A. are "actively investigating."
One law enforcement source tells us, one of the hangups is whether the driver had knowledge the killer -- whom police believe is Eric Holder -- had a gun and was intent on murdering Nipsey. We're told the driver insisted she did not know his intent or that he was armed.
Our sources say when the car initially rolled up to The Marathon Clothing store, Holder was driving and the woman was the passenger. We're told Holder parked in the mini-mall parking lot next to the store. As the woman waited in the car, Nipsey and Holder had their initial conversation, in which Nipsey rebuffed him after suggesting he was a snitch -- which Holder denied.
Contrary to some reports, we're told the conversation continued without animosity. The 2 engaged in some sort of friendly hand gesture, after which, Holder walked over to the burger joint in the same mall, ordered something and eventually got in the car and left.
We're told the car returned a short time later to a street that is connected to the alley that leads to the mall. The woman was driving and Holder was a passenger. We're told after Holder got out and walked toward the mall, she kept the car running and waited for him to return.
It's unclear what kind of information cops want from the woman. There were plenty of witnesses to the murder who say they have ID'd Holder. Several of the witnesses tell TMZ, they have not yet been contacted by police.

Kodak Black Shows in Toronto, Montreal In Jeopardy After Border Bust
Kodak Black is staring down the possibility of missing more shows on his tour, because Canadian authorities could bar him from entering the country for a couple of scheduled gigs North of the border.
Kodak's got concerts on deck Monday in Montreal and Tuesday in Toronto, but those shows are now in limbo because of his drug and gun bust at the Canada-U.S. border.
Sources at the Canada Border Services Agency tell TMZ ... anyone crossing the border into Canada must demonstrate that they meet the requirements to enter or stay in the country, and involvement in criminal activity is grounds to bar someone from entering.
Our sources at the CBSA wouldn't comment on whether or not Kodak would be admitted into Canada for his gigs, telling us everyone's eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
However, our law enforcement sources tell us anyone with a serious criminal history or anyone facing serious felony charges will likely have a difficult time entering Canada. We're told it's unlikely Kodak will be allowed into the country for those shows.
Kodak has some options if he's denied entry, such as requesting a Temporary Resident Permit ... but again, our sources say it's very unlikely Kodak would apply for the permit, because he doesn't meet all its criteria.
We broke the story ... Kodak was arrested on on weapons and drug charges at the U.S. border in New York after cutting through Canada on his way from Detroit to Boston. Cops say they found weed on Kodak and a gun in the car he was driving.
It was back in July when G-Eazy was denied entry into the country after his cocaine arrest during a trip to Sweden ... Chris Brown faced the same fate in 2015 because of his criminal past.
Kodak already missed shows in Boston and Connecticut because of the bust, and now it's looking increasingly likely he will miss at least 2 more.
We reached out to Live Nation for a status update on Kodak's Canadian gigs ... so far, no word back.

Kodak Black GPS Screwed Me!!! Led to Drug, Gun Bust
"In 100 feet, your destination is on the left ... JAIL!!!"
Kodak Black's GPS probably didn't say those exact words but he is blaming it for getting busted at the border, because that's what made him unwittingly drive into Canada.
As we told you, the rapper set out Wednesday to drive himself from Detroit to Boston, punched the destination into his GPS, and it put him on the most direct route ... through Canada, NY and onto Massachusetts. The problem for KB, we're told, is he had no idea he was leaving the good ole U.S. of A.
We're told he didn't realize until he was asked to present a passport, and at that point, there was no turning back ... so they stayed on the route. TMZ broke the story ... Kodak and co. got arrested when they tried to get back on U.S. soil at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge into NY's Niagara County.
Cops say they found a Glock 9mm pistol and weed in the Cadillac Escalade the rapper was driving. A Porsche traveling with Kodak's team was also popped for 2 loaded handguns and a third in the trunk ... plus more weed.
Kodak ultimately posted a $20k cash bond and hid behind a wad of cash as he left jail. Kodak was forced to cancel his show in Boston Wednesday night and his Thursday night show in Connecticut. His Friday night show in Philly is scheduled to go on as planned.
The lesson for Kodak? Actually READ the map, instead of just listening to the GPS voice.
Bonus lesson: Don't travel with guns and weed.

Kodak Black Released After Drugs & Weapons Arrest Hiding Behind a Ton of Cash
11:33 AM PT -- WKBW Buffalo just got video of Kodak leaving jail ... and covering his face with a big stack of cash. He kept quiet before piling into a minivan and driving off.
10:00 AM PT -- Kodak's show tonight in Connecticut at Foxwoods Resort Casino has been canceled. A rep tells us his show Friday night in Philadelphia will still happen.
9:12 AM PT -- Kodak has been released on $20,000 cash bond.
5:24 AM PT -- Cops say Kodak and 2 others attempted to enter the U.S. at the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge in a Cadillac Escalade with a temporary California registration. They say Kodak was the driver, and officers discovered weed on him ... after further inspection of the vehicle they also found a Glock 9mm pistol which was undeclared by anyone in the Escalade.
There was also a Porsche traveling with Kodak's team with 3 other individuals. The driver of the Porsche copped to having 2 loaded handguns and a third was found in the trunk ... aaaand more marijuana. A law enforcement source described one of the weapons as an "AK-style handgun with a 30-round magazine. It looks like an AK, but it's a handgun."
Stetson President and Madarrow Smith were both arrested for criminal possession of a weapon ... Jeantony Saintmelus -- who was driving the Porsche -- was booked for criminal possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana.
While Kodak never made it to his show in Boston ... his tour bus did, and angry fans surrounded it after getting word he was a no-show.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
4/18 3:27 AM PT -- It's now very clear why Kodak Black canceled his show in Boston ... the rapper was arrested on weapons and drugs charges at the U.S. Border. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Kodak and 3 other people were stopped by U.S. Customs Agents Wednesday. We're told Kodak was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon -- a felony -- and a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge.
Multiple sources familiar with the arrest tell us Kodak was traveling with at least two guns ... and stopped when entering the U.S. from Canada.
The rapper is still in custody, being held on a $20,000 cash bond or $40,000 bond.
Kodak Black mysteriously canceled a concert last minute -- pissing off a ton of fans in the process -- and his team tells us his location and the reason for the cancellation is currently unknown.
Kodak was supposed to perform at The House of Blues in Boston Wednesday night but never showed. Fans waited for hours for the rapper before Kodak's team pulled the plug on the gig ... forcing local cops to have to assist in clearing the venue.
Here's where things get weird, we've spoken with several members of Kodak's team -- and everyone is telling us the same thing -- they don't know why the show was canceled and they can't get in touch with Kodak or those traveling with him.
What we know for sure, Kodak performed in Detroit Saturday night ... but at some point between then and Wednesday's show he's allegedly gone off the radar.
While it's highly unlikely his team just doesn't know where he is, or what happened, that's the story they've been sticking to for the last several hours.

Dog the Bounty Hunter Frantic to Locate His Son During Colorado Schools' Columbine Threat
-
EXCLUSIVE

Forgive Dog the Bounty Hunter if emergency alerts on his phone make him jumpy -- because the one about a possible Columbine copycat threat threw Beth and him into a panic to find their son.
Dog was on "TMZ Live" Wednesday and revealed his family's harrowing day after the FBI announced a massive manhunt to find Sol Pais -- the woman authorities described as armed and extremely dangerous due to her Columbine obsession, her purchase of a shotgun and "pilgrimage" to Colorado days before the tragedy's 20th anniversary.
Dog says he got the emergency alert Tuesday about an immediate lockdown at his son, Garry's high school ... while he and Beth were in Hawaii. The fact they couldn't get Garry on the phone created some moments of terror as they jetted back to Denver.
As you know, the crisis was averted ... as Pais was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The whole ordeal reminded Dog of another alert he got while on the islands last year -- that one was about a "ballistic missile inbound." Of course, that turned out to be a false alarm.
The good news is, Dog told us there's a happy ending for Garry and his classmates.

The actor was reportedly gunned down Wednesday night on the streets of an affluent neighborhood in Edinburgh ... and he died at the scene. Scottish police swarmed the area to investigate the shooting ... putting the neighborhood on lockdown.
Bradley biggest film success came playing a gangland boss in the "Trainspotting" sequel. His character owned a couple of seedy saunas around Edinburgh.
Welsh is also a former British ABA Lightweight boxing champion. Back in 2009, he was featured on the Bravo docuseries, "Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men." Bradley wasn't even an actor before catching his big break on 'Trainspotting 2' ... and he reportedly ran into trouble with the law as a soccer hooligan.

YG Shots Fired at Coachella Party ... Cops Search for Suspect
YG's party following his Coachella performance was busted up when someone opened fire outside the event -- causing a panic, just 2 weeks after his friend Nipsey Hussle's murder.
Hours after the rapper left the Coachella stage Sunday night, his after-party was going down at a nearby equestrian center. Our law enforcement sources say they got a call around 2 AM Monday morning for shots fired.
Witnesses told cops someone driving past the bash fired multiple shots -- however, once on the scene, cops found no victims and no evidence of the shooting.
The parking lot was crawling with cops who had to shut down the party while they investigated. We're told they have no suspects.
As you'd imagine, guests were on edge because the reported shots came so closely on the heels of Nipsey's shooting. YG -- who spoke at Nip's Staples Center memorial service -- paid tribute to his friend again during his Coachella gig.
Of course, YG was way less kind when it came to talking about President Trump -- but let's keep it real ... that's what his fans came to see.

Jim Jones Dodges Jail Time ... In Gun & Drug Case
-
EXCLUSIVE
Rapper Jim Jones was able to duck jail time in his gun and drug case out in Georgia -- in fact, he was almost able to skate entirely by copping a plea.
According to court docs out of Coweta County, GA -- where Jim was facing 5 felony counts and a misdemeanor from his June 2018 arrest -- Jim was sentenced to 2 years probation and a $1,500 fine, plus minor court costs.
We're told 3 of the 6 charges were dropped, including a felony drug charge and 2 felony counts of possession of a firearm. The other 3 charges will go away if he stays out of trouble while on probation -- all part of a plea deal.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jim has to stay off booze and drugs for the next couple years and report to his probation officer in GA to get the remaining 3 charges dropped from his record. All things considered, he should count himself lucky.
TMZ broke the story ... Jim and 3 other guys he was riding in a car with were arrested in June after their vehicle led cops on a police chase. Officers say they found weed, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges and 2 loaded pistols inside.
When no one copped to possessing any of the items, cops arrested everyone. Jim was officially charged a few months later ... and was facing decades behind bars.
Talk about flying high.

Nipsey Hussle Victim Shot In Attack Arrested For Gang Ties to Nip
One of the victims shot in the Nipsey Hussle murder has been arrested ... for associating with Nipsey -- TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Kerry Lathan, a 56-year-old man who was shot in the back outside Nipsey's Marathon Clothing store, was taken to the hospital, a week ago Sunday, treated and released.
Five days after the shooting, Lathan, who is out on parole after serving 20 years for murder, was arrested at his halfway house for associating with a known gang member -- namely, Nipsey.
One of the standard conditions of parole is not associating with known gang members, and police claim Nipsey was a member of the Rollin 60's Crips.
Lathan is now in Men's Central Jail in downtown L.A. where he waits as authorities try to revoke his parole. Lathan is in a wheelchair -- the result of the shooting -- unable to walk.
It's ironic ... as Nipsey was being celebrated for his contributions to L.A., authorities were arresting one of the victims of the shooting for being around him. And there's this ... Lathan had just gotten out of prison, and Nipsey went to Marathon to give the ex-con some clothes so he could look fresh when he reunited with friends and family.

Soulja Boy Arrested on Probation Violation ... Held without Bail

Soulja Boy is behind bars after a judge ruled he'd violated his probation in several ways .. including having ammunition in his house.
Soulja walked into an L.A. courtroom Thursday for his hearing, but was taken into custody at the end. The judge said the rapper had failed to do his court-ordered community service ... and even conspired to falsify evidence that he had completed it.
But, the big no-no came during a raid at Soulja's Agoura Hills home in February. TMZ broke the story ... police went to his house to investigate a claim by one of his ex-girlfriends that Soulja had tied her up and held her captive in his garage.
According to the judge, cops found ammunition during the search ... which is a problem because Soulja's on probation for a weapons case that dates back to 2014.
Soulja was arrested back in March after going to see his probation officer, but was released that same day. As soon as he got out, he bragged he wasn't going out like Tekashi69.
This time he's being held without bail and will remain in custody until a hearing scheduled for April 30.
We're told Soulja had a gig scheduled for tonight in Ohio, and Saturday night in Tennessee. If you're holding a ticket for either of those shows ... sorry, he ain't gonna make it.
