Los fans de "Wheel of Fortune" quedaron desconcertados después de que un concursante en el programa aparentemente dio la respuesta correcta ... y se llevaron a las redes sociales para expresar sus quejas.

Megan, una directora de coro de la escuela secundaria de California, ganó el episodio que se emitió el martes, embolsándose poco más de $14k y pasando a la ronda de rompecabezas.

Su categoría fue "Cosa viva" y le dieron las letras "RSTLNE", con las cuales tuvo que solucionar el siguiente rompecabezas: "_ _N_ _R_ _ _ _ _".

Megan lo hizo bien, añadiendo tres letras antes de que empezara la ronda final, así que la cosa iba así: "P_N_ _RC_ _ D". (La recpuesta final era "Pink Orchid" (Orquídea rosa")

Here's the deal ... Megan, a high school choir director from California, won the episode of 'WOF' that aired Tuesday, pocketing just over $14k and launching herself into the bonus puzzle round.

Her category ... "Living Thing" -- didn't exactly narrow it down for her. And, the given letters "RSTLNE" didn't really clear things up with the puzzle reading "_ _N_  _R_ _ _ _."

Megan did well, adding three letters to the puzzle before the final round began ... so she was working off "P_N_  _RC_ _ D" for the final, two-word puzzle.

Now, this is where things got dicey ... at the beginning of guessing, Megan definitely says "Orchid" -- ultimately the second word of the puzzle -- though it sounds like she says "Something" or, as some fans speculated, "Pink" before it, which would've given her the right answer, "Pink Orchid."

The judges didn't award her the money -- which turned out to be $40,000 -- and host Pat Sajak said he thought she focused too much on trying to find a certain kind of orchid ... Megan said "Pony Orchid" at one point.

Well, fans of the show lost their damn minds on social media ... basically arguing they felt she clearly said it at the beginning and demanding 'Wheel' hand over the bag.

It's certainly hard to tell exactly what she said to begin her guessing ... but it sounds like "Something" to us -- and Megan reacts unsurprised when she's not awarded the cash -- so maybe everything's above board here.

It all started when the "Sesame Street" star's X followers began trauma-dumping in his comments earlier this week when he asked how everyone was doing ... something that's taken the Internet by storm over the past 48 hours.

In a follow-up tweet, Elmo said he was glad he asked -- reminding us all of the importance of checking in with a friend. Unclear if that was Elmo's intention, but that's what it became.

Welp, Joe himself signed off on Elmo's tweet and the broader implications of what it morphed into ... retweeting it to add his own words of wisdom -- writing, "I know how hard it is some days to sweep the clouds away and get to sunnier days."

He drew focus back to our friend Elmo ... acknowledging his underlying message was spot on, "We have to be there for each other, offer our help to a neighbor in need, and above all else, ask for help when we need it. Even though it's hard, you're never alone."

Of course, Elmo's initial message sent the Internet ablaze ... with actress Rachel Zegler viewing it as a safe space for her to admit she was "kinda sad." Heck, even T-Pain commented: "That's love, pull up any time bruh ... Check in on your people."

The comments section also became a safe space for others to talk about issues as small as running out of milk for the day ... to more significant topics such as exhaustion, the 9-5 grind, and mental health in general.

One takeaway from this ... a little Elmo-tional support goes a long way. People were clearly more than ready to share their problems and then some -- they just needed someone to ask.

Video of a man being handcuffed in his underwear as police discovered three dead bodies in his backyard is finally surfacing -- the latest development in this wild case out of Missouri.

You've probably heard of this by now -- it all has to do with this guy named Jordan Willis in Kansas City, who was hosting a Chiefs watch party at his house back in early January with some friends ... only for 3 of them to turn up as stiff corpses on his property days later.

The story is absolutely insane ... and it's still shrouded in mystery. Here's what cops know for sure though -- at some point after the watch party on Jan. 7, families for 3 of the attendees at Willis' get-together (David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney) reported them missing ... as no one had seen or heard from these men after that evening.

People had attempted to contact Willis himself, of course, but he too was off the radar for a couple days -- that is, until officers arrived at his home on Jan. 9 ... where he reportedly answered the door with a wineglass in hand ... and wearing nothing but tighty-whities.

That's exactly what you're seeing in this new video here, which just popped up courtesy of NewsNation reporter Alex Caprariello, who says he obtained it through his reporting.

In the brief clip ... you can see a neighbor recording the police run-in Willis experienced that night -- capturing all the officers who responded to the scene ... and them detaining Willis.

And yes, he indeed in his underwear ... just as reports have indicated from the get-go.

It's worth noting, while Willis might've landed in handcuffs here in the moment -- after which officers discovered the bodies of Harrington, Johnson and McGeeney, frozen to death in Willis' backyard -- he did NOT get arrested or charged with a crime ... and hasn't as of yet.

Police there are saying no foul play is suspected thus far in the investigation -- and they're even going out of their way to say this is not being looked into as a homicide ... despite some troubling details that have the public doing double takes and scratching their heads.

Willis, for his part, has denied any knowledge about how his friends turned up dead in his backyard ... and says he wasn't even aware anyone was looking for them. He's denied having anything to do with their demise ... this despite the families' collective outrage.

Taylor Swift fans around the world can breathe a sigh of relief ... the mega pop star is searchable again on X!!!

In a statement released Monday, X's rep, Joe Benarroch, broke the news about Taylor after her name was blocked from being searched on the platform last weekend following a flood of sexually explicit AI images of the singer.

Benarroch wrote that X had reinstated all searches for Taylor after temporarily blocking them due to the raunchy images.

The spokesman promised to "continue to be vigilant for attempts to spread this content and will remove it wherever we find it.”

As millions of Taylor fans recall, they woke up Saturday to the harsh reality of not being able to search for the music giant on X.

All they got when they typed in Taylor's name was an error message, essentially saying there was no news about her on the app, formerly known as Twitter.

There's a new video game where Batman gets a final sayonara from his worst foes -- and fans of the late Kevin Conroy are absolutely fuming over it ... calling it a terrible send-off.

The game's called 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' -- due out in a few days -- and some of the footage from a particular scene involving the Dark Knight (voiced by Conroy) is already making the rounds online ... which depicts this version of Batman's brutal death.

Indeed, in this universe ... Harley Quinn fires a bullet into Batman at close range, officially killing him off -- and people who grew up watching Conroy's Batman are kinda losing it.

There's a number of reasons why folks are mad -- but the biggest one, it seems, is that some feel this is a disrespectful way to leave Conroy's legacy as the Caped Crusader. It is, in fact, the last time he played Batman before tragically passing in 2022 from cancer.

While this game's developer/distributor (Rocksteady/WB) likely didn't foresee Conroy dying so suddenly -- diehards of his character and the superhero at large are still dragging these companies through the coals for the decision to off Batman like this ... very wham bam.

However, others are actually pushing back against the outrage ... for two good reasons. One ... it's a freaking video game/fictional character -- and all this is pretty damn silly, TBH.

More importantly, though, many are rightly pointing out that Conroy himself signed up for this story when taking the job -- and considering how closely he cherished the role/character of Batman for as long as he did it ... some think the angry mob should respect his decision.

Sokka from Nickelodeon's 'Avatar' show is going to be a lil' different in Netflix's live-action version when it debuts next month ... and that includes a lot less woman-hating, apparently.

Ian Ousely -- the actor who's been tapped to play real Sokka for the streaming giant's take on the beloved animated series -- spilled the beans to EW this week in terms of clarifying how his iteration of one of the main characters will stand apart from what fans remember.

He explained ... "I wanted to make sure that Sokka is funny. There's more weight with realism in every way." His costar Kiawentiio (who plays Sokka's sister, Katara, in Netflix's show) chimed in to clear up which elements of the cartoon didn't work so well in real life.

She interjected with ... "I feel like we also took out the element of how sexist [Sokka] was. I feel like there were a lot of moments in the original show that were iffy."

To that, Ousley agreed in this interview ... going on to say, "Yeah, totally. There are things that were redirected just because it might play a little differently [in live action]." EW also points out what diehards of the animation already know ... namely, that Sokka is, in fact, very sexist as a character toward the start -- but that, eventually, he outgrows that in his arc.

Emphasis on that last part, specially. You see... Sokka's sexism is a key character flaw that he has to mature past all throughout the OG series ... something fans are keenly aware of, which is why they're pissed that it's now being revealed Netflix is changing this major detail.

You can hop into the "Sokka" trend right now on X to see how angry/disappointed everyone is that the Sokka they know -- imperfect and in need of humbling, which often made for great/hilarious moments in the original -- is not going to be found in this live remake.

That also kinda deflates the excitement fans had with the fact Netflix's version actually *looked* a lot like the cartoon ... which had many believing it'd be more faithful to the source material. Apparently, not that faithful. Seems Sokka was too problematic for Netflix.

The woman who jumped on a moving car to try and stop thieves from stealing her French bulldog says cops are finally taking her case seriously ... all thanks to the media.

Ali Zacharias is the poor woman who had her dog, Onyx, taken from her in broad daylight in downtown Los Angeles earlier this month -- and she joined us on "TMZ Live" Monday to explain exactly how it went down, and what cops are doing now to find the culprits.

Interestingly, she says the LAPD has been much more responsive now that video of the daring and violent dognapping is in the news -- and for good reason ... it was dramatic as hell.

As we reported, Ali was eating outside a Whole Foods in DTLA when a woman walked by and grabbed Onyx's leash and walked away.

Ali says she chased after the dognapper, who got into a car full of people. She says she stood in front of the car, then found herself clinging to the hood for dear life as the thieves sped through town ... fearing for her life as the pavement flew by.

The brazen dognapping is similar to when Lady Gaga's dogwalker got shot over her French bulldogs ... with the Gaga case leading to a huge police response and investigation.

Ali's dog was taken Jan. 18 and the video only surfaced this past weekend, and now that her story is in the media -- she says LAPD is being way more helpful and responsive ... which we suppose is a good thing if it helps get her pooch home sooner.

Gaga's dogs were ultimately returned to her safe and sound ... and Ali's hoping for a happy ending here too, and offering a reward for any info on Onyx.

On Friday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show", the actress said she was thrilled when she recently matched with a man claiming to be the QB from the L.A. Rams -- not cause she wanted to flex on landing an athlete, she claims ... but cause she was excited to tell him she went to the Coliseum to see their first L.A. game.

Unfortunately, her fangirling was short-lived ... 'cause she wasn't talking to a Rams player.

Drew told her cohost Ross Mathews when she reached out to this guy with her football ramblings, she quickly learned the cold hard truth -- he was nowhere near to being a celebrated NFL'er. Instead ... she says he was a random musician who thought he was being cute about lying about his identity.

Drew says she felt stupid and dumb over being misled ... not to mean so easily fooled.

Ross adds she should absolutely feel a way about being lied to  -- saying he was disappointed cause when she started telling the story, he envisioned her being the new Taylor Swift at the games, cheering on her man. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Drew's been publicly single following her split from her ex Will Kopelman in 2016 ... but if her efforts crawling her way back into the dating pool are this grim ... there's clearly no hope for other singletons.

A driver who went over the edge of a pier on the East Coast seemed determined to end his/her life, and perhaps anyone else's who was in the way ... evidenced in this video here.

TMZ has obtained footage from Saturday morning that shows the moment an unidentified vehicle barrels through the opening of the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier -- where it was driving at a high rate of speed and with what appears to be intent to keep going toward the end.

As has been reported by local media outlets, that's exactly what ended up happening -- this driver crashed their car through the far-side of the pier and went straight into the water.

But check out this new video we have now ... you can see the car almost hit somebody who was walking along the entrance to the pier at about 6:49 AM ET, and they look shocked.

Of course, the car kept going -- and video of the moment that it ended up plunging over the ledge has been circulating online. It's strange -- you see the car somewhat jerk its way along before finally crashing through and falling into the ocean below -- with no word on the condition of whoever was inside. The car sank to the bottom, and rescue/recovery efforts have been futile ... at this point, the driver and any other occupants are presumed dead.

We also obtained footage of the immediate aftermath of this tragedy -- and the damage this car caused is quite clear ... with police caution tape spread out all along the pier, and cops standing by as first-responders attempted to pull the car itself out from depths of the sea.

On Sunday, there was a full-blown effort to retrieve the vehicle with heavy-duty equipment -- but weather conditions delayed the undertaking ... and there's no official word on when they'll try again. Few details about the driver or their motive are known for the time being.

A state trooper happened upon an unreal site when he spotted a semi-truck filled with circus animals engulfed in flames ... with multiple agencies responding to help extinguish the flames and rescue the exotic species.

The trooper spotted the truck fire around 2 AM ... the 57-year-old driver had already escaped the inferno, leaving only the animals in need of aid.

The deputy from Grant County Sheriff's Office and a member of the circus managed to get the animals out and to safety ... and once backup arrived, they were able to secure the animals along the roadside.

Video of the aftermath shows Camels walking along the highway as they're being led to different trucks ... and the Marion Police said on Facebook, "All zebras & camels are safe and our public safety professionals of all stripes worked together to get over the hump on this job!!!"

In pics posted to social media, officers can be seen hamming it up with the exotic brood ... clearly as happy as kids at the circus.

Though the animals escaped unharmed ... 2 of the cops suffered smoke inhalation, but were treated at a nearby hospital and released.

The driver was reportedly uninjured.
