Shohei Ohtani just announced he will be a Los Angeles Dodger ... reportedly landing a massive 10-year, $700 million contract -- the richest deal in Major League Baseball and North American sports history.

The Japanese two-way superstar personally shared the news on his Instagram page just minutes ago ... apologizing for keeping the baseball world on pins and needles as he came up with his decision to leave the Los Angeles Angels.

"First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved with the Angels organization and the fans who have supported me over the past six years, as well as to everyone involved with each team that was part of this negotiation process," Ohtani said in his post. "Especially to the Angels fans who supported me through all the ups and downs, your guys’ support and cheer meant the world to me. The six years I spent with the Angels will remain etched in my heart forever."

Ohtani also pledged to give his absolute best on the field for the Dodgers fanbase ... adding, "Until the last day of my playing career, I want to continue to strive forward not only for the Dodgers but for the baseball world."

The Dodgers are getting the most entertaining player in the sport -- as Shohei is a dominant force on both sides of the ball.

He played the first six seasons of his MLB career with the crosstown rival Angels ... racking up 681 hits, 171 homers and 437 RBI ... as well as a 38-19 record with a 3.01 ERA and 608 strikeouts on the mound.

Other organizations reportedly had a chance at landing the two-time MVP -- including the San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays -- but the free agency process was super secretive, per Ohtani's request.

8:46 AM PT -- A rep for Florida Highway Patrol confirmed there was a crash involving three vehicles -- a Mercedes, Nissan and Toyota -- that occurred in Miami.

While there were no fatalities, police said at least one adult male was transported to a local hospital, but his condition was not disclosed, nor was his identity.

2 Chainz was rushed to a hospital early Saturday morning after he was hit by a car in Miami ... TMZ has learned.

The rapper was driving on I-95 and about to exit when we're told by informed sources a car hit his vehicle. We're told cops suspect the other driver may have been driving under the influence.

It appears 2 Chainz was hit from behind because the damage to the car was on the front left driver's side -- and the damage is extensive, meaning the force of the crash was intense.

2 Chainz just posted this vid of him in an ambulance on his way to the hospital.

We're told he suffered neck injuries and possibly other injuries as well, but that he's in stable condition in the hospital.

He had left a strip club called Booby Trap, a hot Miami strip club, shortly before the crash. He was in Miami for Art Basel.

A woman in Brazil took domestic violence to a whole new level ... showering her husband in a flammable liquid before setting him on fire -- and ultimately killing him.

The shocking incident was recorded on surveillance video at a store in Rio de Janeiro last Monday ... showing every moment of the horror as it unfolded.

Check it out ... Ana Maria Paixao walks into the stock room holding a bottle of fluid as she approaches her husband, Andre Chapeta, sitting at a table.

She first douses Chapeta with the liquid and then uses a lighter to set him ablaze, causing him to jump up from the table and dash out of the room.

Chapeta makes his way out to the street, where he runs around like a human torch before he collapses to the ground.

He was eventually brought to a local hospital, where he died Friday after being treated for severe burns over 92 percent of his body.

On Thursday, Paixao was taken into police custody, but she was later released on a technicality after a judge failed to sign the arrest warrant.

Size does matter, allegedly, to an Oklahoma cop who's been arrested for assaulting a sex shop clerk who defended the cop's wife ... in an argument about the size of her sex toys. Seriously.

This all went down at Christie's Toy Box in Oklahoma City ... where Pottawatomie Sheriff's commander David DeWitt took his wife shopping for a new sex toy. According to the arrest report, obtained by FOX25, DeWitt grew enraged Monday night when the missus picked up a few items that were, umm ... "bigger than him."

The clerk says DeWitt told his wife she didn't need fake penises that put him to shame, and allegedly raised his hand as if to backhand her. The clerk says he stepped in between them at the point and asked DeWitt to leave the store, but he allegedly barked back, "F*** you, I'm a cop!"

The violence allegedly broke out when DeWitt and his wife were checking out, and that same clerk asked if they wanted to buy any batteries for their new device. That's when DeWitt allegedly yelled, "What the f*** you say to me, fat boy?"

The clerk says he told DeWitt to get out of his face, and that's when DeWitt jumped behind the counter and repeatedly punched him in the face and ribs, tossed a bunch of merchandise around the store ... and then left in a convertible Bentley.

Shortly thereafter, DeWitt was pulled over, but not for the sex shop incident -- a state trooper nailed him for speeding. The trooper was going to let DeWitt go with a warning, but then heard the call about the alleged fight over a phallus ... and notified OKC cops he had DeWitt pulled over.

DeWitt was booked for misdemeanor assault, and he's been suspended without pay pending an investigation.

A would-be arsonist tried to burn down the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta -- but her plan was foiled by a bunch of tourists who filmed the ordeal and restrained her.

The 26-year-old woman was caught on camera Wednesday, holding a large plastic gasoline container and splashing the front of MLK's house with the flammable liquid.

Check out the video ... one of the tourists turns his camera on the woman and asks, "What are you doing?"

The woman turns to him and says, "What?" before waving him off and continuing to vandalize the historic home.

Two other people visiting the landmark grabbed the woman and held her down on the ground until Atlanta PD officers arrived and took her into custody.

The suspect, whose name was not released, was charged with criminal attempt arson and criminal attempt interference with government property.

She could also face federal charges since the house is operated by the National Park Service -- a federally run agency.

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum gave credit to the good Samaritans, saying, “That action saved an important part of American history tonight.”

Atlanta Fire Department Battalion Chief Jerry DeBerry also pointed out the house could have been "engulfed in flames" within seconds if the witnesses hadn't come to the rescue.

The King Center -- established in 1968 to carry on MLK's legacy -- issued a statement on X, reading in part, "Tonight, an unfortunate incident occurred at the birth home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as an individual attempted to set fire to this historic property. Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful, thanks to the brave intervention of good Samaritans and the quick response of law enforcement."

Things got heated after Haney's team said Devin would knock Regis out ... something Prograis questioned, highlighting Devin's knockout rate.

"Who you knocked out Devin?!" Prograis yelled. "C'mon Dev, who the f*** did you knock out?! Nobody!"

FYI, Prograis has 24 KOs in 30 fights ... compared to Haney, who has 15 KOs in 30 fights. But, Haney is undefeated ... while Regis has one loss.

"You slow! You're a one-trick pony," Haney replied. "You do the same thing every fight!"

Prograis continued his rant ... telling the crowd and even Haney's father, Bill, that he's going to "hurt" the super lightweight boxer come Saturday.

Devin seemed unbothered.

"Supernatural" star Mark Sheppard is out of the hospital after suffering 6 heart attacks and miraculously avoiding death ... flashing a smile on his way home.

The 59-year-old actor was spotted heading out of the Los Angeles-area hospital Thursday, grinning from ear to ear and dishing out some hugs to the hospital staff.

Mark appears to still have some post-op drains connected, which are commonly used to drain excess blood and fluid after surgery ... a small and temporary price to pay for the terrifying ordeal he faced less than 1 week ago.

As we reported, Mark claimed to have suffered a series of "massive heart attacks" after collapsing in his kitchen Friday, with EMTs bringing him back to life 4 times.

Mark had a total blockage in his left anterior descending artery -- otherwise known as a LAD.
