The former entertainment reporter shared a little behind-the-scenes clip of her first meeting with pop star Katy Perry, journalist and host Gayle King, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil-rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn ... the first all-female heading to the edge of space in a Blue Origin rocket this spring.

Sanchez says this group was chosen because they're all storytellers ... who can share their experience with people and inspire the next generation of trailblazers.

Chaos ensued on the '80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise when the fiancée of Faster Pussycat's lead singer went overboard ... and only TMZ has video of the rescue efforts.

We obtained this video from a passenger on the cruise, and you hear the public address system alerting passengers that someone fell off the ship into the waters below.

The frantic search effort is also featured in the video, with smaller boats racing around the cruise ship in an effort to find Kimberly Burch -- fiancée of Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe.

Tragedy has struck an '80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise ... the fiancée of Faster Pussycat's lead singer has died after going overboard, though her body remains missing, TMZ has learned.

Kimberly Burch -- fiancée of Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe -- fell to her death shortly after a heated argument with him aboard the ship, according to Kimberly’s mother.

Carnell Burch tells TMZ ... Taime called her on Monday to deliver the heartbreaking news. It’s still unclear whether Kimberly jumped or accidentally fell from the ship, but Carnell is confident Kimberly wouldn't purposefully hurt herself.

A FedEx cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday morning when part of the aircraft burst into flames mid-flight ... and it was captured on dramatic video!

A spokeman for FedEx tells TMZ ... Flight 3609 from Newark to Indianapolis at 8:07 AM local experienced a bird strike during takeoff.

"Our crew declared an emergency and returned safely to Newark. We are thankful for the quick actions of our crew and first responders," the spokesperson tells us.

Qatar Airways is defending its crew after they deposited a deceased passenger next to a couple for the final four hours of a flight from Melbourne, Australia to Doha, Qatar earlier this week.

As you know, the couple -- Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin -- claimed they were not offered new seats after a woman's corpse was covered with a blanket and was placed in their row. Ring said he was simply asked to move over so the woman -- who dropped dead near them -- could occupy his seat.

In a statement obtained by TMZ, Qatar Airways says cabin crew "acted quickly, appropriately and professionally at all times in line with training and industry standard practice."

A controller tells the smaller plane to "hold short," but the private jet continues to move toward one of the main runways. Then voices get urgent as they repeat "hold short!" and a controller tells the Southwest flight to climb to a higher elevation.

It’s another rough day in the skies for Delta -- this time, a plane’s cabin filled with thick smoke mid-flight, leading to an emergency landing and evacuation of everyone onboard.

The Boeing 717 aircraft was en route to Columbia, South Carolina Monday morning when "haze inside the aircraft" was reported, forcing an immediate return to Atlanta, with all 94 passengers evacuated via emergency inflatable slides.

One passenger's video shows smoke permeating the cabin in the mid-air flight, with everyone holding clothes over their faces to protect themselves. Later footage shows them safely on the tarmac after debarking.

Nate tells us he hasn't been able to sleep since Monday's crash and he doesn't think the $30K offer extended to survivors is remotely close to the toll the incident is taking on his mental health.
