This is one of the coolest videos we've ever seen ... Delon Wright overcome with emotion the second he was selected during the NBA Draft last night ... while his family goes wild!!!!

Wright -- along with his close friends, parents and brother (fellow NBA star) Dorell Wright -- took over Hyde on the Sunset Strip to watch the Draft together.

The moment commissioner Adam Silver announces Delon's name as the 20th overall pick to the Toronto Raptors ... well, it's just awesome.

Congrats!

Drake Blasted By Canadian Politician Paul Pierce Handshake Was B.S.

A Canadian politician is BLASTING Drake ... claiming the rapper offended his fellow countrymen when he shook Paul Pierce's hand this week -- and now he's warning Drizzy, DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

The man with the beef is Councillor Norm Kelly ... a Toronto legislator and die hard Raptor's fan ... who says he was sickened when he saw Drake dappin' up the Washington Wizards star while they're in the middle of a heated playoff series.

"For Drake to have any recognition of Pierce, offended a huge number of fans," Kelly tells TMZ Sports.

"We have no problem shaking hands. Just wait to do it until after the series."

Kelly -- who happens to be a HUGE Drake fan -- says he's not the only Torontonian who feels this way and has some advice for the 28-year-old hip-hop superstar:

"If [Drake] really has his ear attuned to the people of Toronto, we won't see a repeat of that behavior again."

Justin Bieber NBA PAL MAKES ALL-STAR TEAM Thanks to Pop Star's Support

Maybe he really IS the most powerful man in the NBA ... because Justin Bieber's pal Kyle Lowry has been voted to be a starter in the NBA All-Star game ... and it seems Bieb's support put him over the top.

As we previously reported, Lowry was 3rd in All-Star voting for the Eastern Conference backcourt position behind Dwyane Wade and John Wall ... that is, until Bieber tweeted to his 60 MILLION followers to vote for the Toronto Raptors star.

Well, Bieber's plan worked ... with Lowry surging ahead in the voting at the last minute to secure a starting spot ... beating out Wade by 15,000 votes.

Belieb dat.

Justin Bieber Campaigning for NBA Player to Make All-Star Team

Justin Bieber is hoping his 60 MILLION twitter followers can make a dent in NBA All-Star voting ... and he's putting his weight behind a guy who plays in Canada.

Bieber is pushing for Kyle Lowry -- a point guard for the Toronto Raptors who's having a pretty good season ... and is currently 3rd in the All-Star voting behind John Wall and Dwyane Wade.

The Canadian pop star tweeted, "Toronto has been killin it and @Klow7 deserves to be an nba all star. Make sure to vote for him. #WeTheNorth. Good luck buddy."

The All-Star game "starters" are chosen based on fan voting -- so if Bieber can mobilize his army, there's a good chance Lowry can leapfrog the other two guys in the Eastern Conference backcourt.

Stay tuned ...

The disabled man who made headlines after releasing a video showing the harassment he endured on the streets of Toronto just spoke with "TMZ Hollywood Sports" about the V.I.P. treatment he received courtesy of NBA star Greivis Vasquez ... and it's a pretty cool story.

As we previously reported, Vasquez reached out to Andre Arruda after seeing the video online ... and invited him to a Raptors game over the weekend.

Now, Arruda -- an actor/comic -- is talking about the experience with "TMZ Hollywood Sports" ... telling us why he thought the whole thing was a joke at first ... but then found himself sitting courtside.

Arruda also says the guys plan to keep in touch.

Make sure to check out the entire interview on Reelz tonight at 8 PM ET ... 5 PM PT!!

NBA Star Invites Disabled Man to Game After 'Mocking' Video Goes Viral

The star of a viral video that featured a disabled man being mocked on the street by dozens of people was contacted by an NBA star over the weekend and given the VIP treatment ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've learned Toronto Raptors star Greivis Vasquez saw the video posted by Andre Arruda -- a Toronto comic who suffers from Morquio syndrome ... often associated with Dwarfism.

In his video (by Key Fork TV), Arruda shows how he's taunted, mocked and stared at on a regular basis because of his physical appearance ... and his story is starting to blow up in the Canadian media.

Enter Vasquez ... who was so moved by the story, he reached out to Arruda's camp over the weekend and invited him to the Raptors game on Saturday night.

Not only did he hook Arruda up with courtside tickets, he got him pregame and postgame passes and took photos with him on the court.

We spoke to Vasquez's rep, who tells us the NBA star simply "wanted to put a smile on Arruda's face."

Mission accomplished.

Kris Humphries Taunted with 'Kanye' Chant ... During NBA Game

0-jq9a9lep

Kris Humphries is still being harassed over his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian ... with an entire section of Toronto Raptors fans starting a "Kanye" chant to troll him during a recent NBA game.

TMZ Sports has the footage showing Humphries at the free throw line during Friday's Wizards vs. Raptors game in Toronto.

The chant worked. Humphries missed the shot ... and the crowd went insane.

It's not the first time Kris has been trolled about the marriage -- in fact, Kanye himself took a shot at Kris right when he started dating Kim ... rapping that Kris was lucky Yeezy's pal Jay Z didn't drop him from the team he was on at the time.

For the record, it's been THREE YEARS since Kris and Kim broke up.

Toronto Raptors to Wale Please Don't Hate Us

The Toronto Raptors are trying to make things right with rapper Wale ... after Wale and the team announcer got into serious beef at last night's game ... TMZ has learned.

Wale -- the Grammy-nominated artist behind the 2009 mega-hit "Chillin"-- confronted Raptors announcer Matt Devlin at the game in D.C. last night ... after Devlin made a comment on the air about how Wale is, "Not Drake, that's for sure."

Wale took the comment as an insult -- and tweeted to Devlin, "Watch your mouth." The rapper then approached the broadcasting booth and yelled a few words at Devlin. It's unclear what he said.

But now, a rep for the Raptors tells TMZ ... Matt was NOT trying to diss the rapper, but his comments were "meant to be making fun of himself for not knowing who Wale is, especially a Grammy-nominated artist with more than 2 million Twitter followers."

The rep says, "It’s a shtick that Matt and our analyst do consistently to poke fun at the fact neither is pop culture savvy."

The Raptors say Matt " feels badly that Wale may have felt he was making fun of him."

The team adds, "We have reached out to Wale’s management group to see if we can turn this into a positive. We’d like to have him join Matt on the broadcast when we return to Washington at the end of March."

We reached out to Wale -- so far no word back.
