'The View' Big Advertisers Pull the Plug After 'Nurse' Comments
"The View" may need a nurse to stop the bleeding, because TMZ has learned 2 major advertisers have cut the cord after the women went off on the nursing profession.
Johnson & Johnson and Eggland's Best are pulling ads from the ABC show. EB seems to be making things final, saying, "In light of the comments about the profession recently made ... we will no longer be advertising." J&J says they've "paused our advertising accordingly."
Co-hosts Michelle Collins and Joy Behar criticized Miss Colorado during the talent portion of the "Miss America" pageant Sunday for wearing her nurse-garb.
The two tried to smooth things over with an apology on Wednesday but it looks like the big business wigs weren't buyin' it.
We reached out to "The View" for comment ... so far no word back.

'The View' We Love Nurses ... We've Just Got A Weird Way Of Showing It
"The View" co-hosts did nurse damage control Wednesday ... with one of the ladies squarely owning up and another doing the moonwalk.
Michelle Collins and Joy Behar lampooned Miss Colorado who came out during the "Miss America" talent portion in a nurse's uniform. Thing is ... she's really a nurse, and the jokes didn't go over well.
Joy was very honest and said on Wednesday's show she just screwed up.
Michelle, on the other hand, kinda pulled a "my-best-friends-are-nurses" thing, talking about how much she loves them.
Not the point. Right?

Barbara Walters 'The View' Will KILL Her LEGACY!! ... Julie Chen Warns
Barbara Walters is on the verge of tarnishing her legendary TV career ... IF she dares to return to "The View" -- at least that's what her friends are telling her.
One of Barbara's more famous counselors, Julie Chen ... went on "The Howard Stern Show" this morning and said Barbara really is considering going back to the show she created -- but she's getting strong advice to avoid it like the plague.
As Julie put it ... "That ship has sailed. No one can turn it around."
Julie and Sharon Osbourne had more to say about the possible move -- but what's weird, of course, is they co-host "The Talk" ... a main competitor of "The View." So, they've clearly got a dog in the fight.
Question is ... will Barbara rejoin that fight?

Joy Behar Caitlyn Jenner's the Same ... Still Boring
Can't say Joy Behar isn't fair -- she's treating Caitlyn Jenner the same as she would anyone else, and sometimes that means giving her a good jabbing ... same as everyone else.
We asked Joy if she thought Caitlyn would make a good co-host for "The View" -- seeing as how the show could use a shot in the arm. Plus, as a former co-host ... Joy should know what it takes.
Check out her answer -- Caitlyn's transition hasn't changed one personality trait which is NOT a great fit for TV hosts ... according to Joy, anyway.
Ahhh, equality -- kinda stings sometimes.

Rosie also announced next week will be her last on "The View." She just returned to the show last September -- and her departure comes amid rampant speculation that Rosie Perez would be the one exiting.

Whoopi Goldberg Deal With It 'View' Execs I'm Staging Sit-In to Save My Back
Whoopi Goldberg's got back ... problems and it's creating a rift between her, the other "View" co-hosts and producers of the show -- who think Whoopi's new chair is a major eyesore.
When Whoopi returned from her two-week injury sabbatical Tuesday, she brought a new ergonomic chair for support. All the women used the same chair ... so Whoopi's wouldn't look different.
According to our sources, producers felt the chairs looked clunky on camera ... so they yanked them for Wednesday's episode -- but Whoopi stood (or sat) her ground in the new chair.
And yes ... it stood out.
We're told Whoopi has no plans to change back, so producers are struggling to find a way to make it more pleasing to the eye.
At least they don't have anything else to worry about ...

'The View's' Rosie Perez Latina Group Blasts Show For Racist And Sexist Remarks
A distinguished group of Hispanic women are blasting "The View" for allegedly making disparaging remarks against co-host Rosie Perez ... saying they are both racist and sexist.
The group referring to themselves as #YoSoyRosie is responding to a "View" source who spoke to the NY Daily News and said Rosie, "is not the sharpest tool in the box," and most recently told Variety that "Ms. Perez can't read a TelePrompTer."
The group just
, obtained by TMZ , "questioning a woman's intelligence is an old stereotype that is sexist and in this case also racist" and they go on to say "when you disparage the only Latina on 'The View', you disparage all Latinas."
#YoSoyRosie members include high profile names like New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and NY Secretary of State Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez and best selling author Esmeralda Santiago.
Rosie is scheduled to appear on "The View" Thursday to address the comments.

Rosie O'Donnell Impossible on 'The View' Days are Numbered
Rosie O'Donnell is a "malcontent" who is bringing down "The View" and is impossible to deal with ... so claim well-placed sources in the show's production.
We're told Rosie came in thinking she'd be in the lead position at the table -- "the moderator." We're told she was outraged when it became clear the title and the power belonged to Whoopi.
Our sources say Rosie has been impossibly rude to members of the cast and crew, both on and off camera.
We're told she seems "very depressed" and has few personal interactions with anyone off camera.
The ratings are down and execs are blaming Rosie.
The honchos have tried talking with Rosie but they say it's like talking to a wall. They doubt she will even finish the season and another season we're told is "out of the question."
Rosie's rep tells TMZ ... "This is absolutely false! Whoopi Goldberg has been the moderator since Whoopi was hired and Rosie knew that before she took the job."

Former 'View' Host I LOVE the New Panel ... With ONE Exception
Original "View" co-host Debbie Matenopoulos doesn't need an umbrella, because she has plenty of shade ... which she happily threw at one of the show's new panelists.
A very pregnant Matenopoulos was hanging out at Craig's in West Hollywood and had glowing reviews for 3 members of the new foursome -- Rosie Perez, Nicole Wallace ... along with Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell. Debbie laid out her issues with one of them.
Debbie -- who's now repped by Wendy Feldman -- doesn't have hard feelings though about getting canned in '99, and replaced by Lisa Ling. Last night she told our photog she'd be down for a return, and she's even cooked up a ploy to score ratings.

Tony Gonzalez Man in the Middle of 'View' Auditions
NFL great Tony Gonzalez is suddenly square in the middle of "The View" audition process because his wife and the mother of his first child are squaring off for a co-hosting gig.
The combatants are the future Hall of Famer's wife, October Gonzalez ... and his ex-gf and baby mama Lauren Sanchez. Sources connected to 'View' producers confirm October taped several test segments in NYC yesterday. We're told Lauren and several other candidates were also there.
We're told October was a late addition to the audition process, while Lauren's been in contention for a while. She co-hosted an episode that aired last week ... and she was a leading candidate for the show back in 2000.
There most likely will NOT be room for both women on the set. We've told you, producers are looking for one Latin and one conservative co-host -- so Lauren and October are both vying for that Latina seat.
One source described October as a "long shot" ... but added she's definitely in the running.
Lucky for Tony he'll have nothing to do with the decision process. But if he did ... he's gotta go with the wife, right? Then again ... Lauren did give birth to his firstborn.
Our advice, Tony ... sit this one out, bro.

The View Whoopi Takes Shot at Barbara ... During Heated Test Show
Rosie O'Donnell got into a heated showdown over abortion with CNN's S.E. Cupp during a 'View' test show taping with Whoopi Goldberg ... who ended up taking a thinly-veiled shot at Barbara Walters.
Production sources at "The View" tell us Cupp -- who's vying for the conservative role on the show -- had a "nasty" debate yesterday over the Australian couple making headlines for asking their surrogate to abort a Down syndrome baby.
We're told things escalated when Whoopi jumped in and asked Cupp if she ever had to make a decision about abortion. That shut everyone up momentarily ... until Rosie chastised Cupp, saying she didn't want another Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Here's where Babs comes in. After the taping ... Whoopi -- in front of producers and several potential replacement hosts -- said she'd been "working with a cranky 85-year-old woman who's mad about everything for 2 years, and I need a break."
Hard to tell who Whoopi was really upset with -- Rosie or Cupp -- but the shot at Barbara was undeniable.
As for Cupp ... doesn't sound like she left on Rosie's good side -- but then again ... that may be exactly what "The View" needs.

'The View' Tappin' Latin Talent for Co-Host Lauren Sanchez to Guest
"The View" producers will give potential replacement co-host Lauren Sanchez her shot at one of the coveted seats when she sits in for Wednesday's episode.
TMZ has learned Sanchez got the call last week, and was told she would be co-hosting with Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd.
Our 'View' sources tell us producers will be watching for Sanchez's "chemistry" with Whoopi -- which makes sense since she's the only one who will be back next season.
As TMZ first told you ... producers are on the hunt for 2 new co-hosts -- one conservative and one Latina. Sanchez -- a former news anchor and 'Extra' host -- was nearly hired in 2000, but they went with Lisa Ling instead.
As Barbara Walters herself put it, Lauren was "thiiis close" to getting the gig back then.

Jenny McCarthy The Only Person Who Can Replace Me on 'The View' Is ...
Jenny McCarthy is lending the producers of "The View" a hand ... giving them her idea for the only person who can possibly fill her seat.
Our photog spotted the new SiriusXM host in New York City and asked who should land her spot on the panel?
As TMZ first reported, the producers are looking to land a conservative and a Latina on the panel ... but Jenny went in another direction.
Hint: It's a guy who could definitely save the show. He's tackled bigger projects.

Whoopi Goldberg I'll Do Sarah Palin Or a Dude As My New 'View' Co-Host
Outside of Rosie O'Donnell ... Whoopi Goldberg has no idea who will be sitting next to her next season on "The View" -- and even though she's the sole survivor, she insists she has ZERO input on the hiring process ... and that's fine by her.
We asked Whoopi about the latest staffing rumors -- Sarah Palin or someone with a penis -- and she toed the company line ... saying it's up to Mouse House honchos, and she'd be glad to work with anyone.
But she did spill the beans about her own 'View' future ... and it's clear Whoopi's accepted nothing lasts forever. Smart.
