Khloe Kardashian wasn't messing around when her son was born, giving him the Kardashian last name instead of Tristan Thompson's ... but later had a change of heart.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us Tatum Thompson -- as he's now known -- was initially legally a Kardashian. Our sources say Tatum also wasn't his first name, though we're not sure what first name Khloe originally chose for the kiddo.

Eventually, our sources say Khloe decided to drop the Kardashian name for Thompson, and that's now Tatum's legal name moving forward.

As for why Khloe may have made the initial decision to leave Tristan out of things -- it seems pretty clear ... as we reported, Tristan got another woman, Maralee Nichols, pregnant after Khloe and Tristan had decided to go ahead with a surrogate to carry Tatum.

TMZ broke the story about the surrogacy in July of 2022, just a couple months after it was discovered Tristan had gotten Nichols pregnant. It was about a month later when Tatum was born, so you gotta imagine there was still a lot for Khloe and Tristan to figure out ... making it totally understandable Khloe wanted her son to have her last name.

Obviously, things have gotten better since that time, and it's almost certainly the reason Khloe decided to change Tatum's legal name to include Thompson.

As we've reported on multiple occasions, Khloe and Tristan are incredible co-parents ... hitting events together with their daughter True all the time. We were the first to report both Khloe and Tristan were at True's pre-K graduation last week ... along with exes Kylie and Travis Scott and family foe Blac Chyna.

With plenty of milestones and significant happenings for their son for the next several decades, it's nice to see Khloe and TT on the same page.

Tyga and Travis Barker are linking up again and it has nothing to do with any old family ties ... the duo's actually getting ready to drop some new music.

Witnesses tell TMZ ... Tyga and his buddy, Alexander "AE" Edwards, strolled into Travis' studio Tuesday in Calabasas ... something that's become a common sight lately.

Sources familiar with the situation say the rapper and drummer have been spending a lot of time together in the studio, and the tunes they're cooking up will be for an upcoming EP.

They plan to drop the project in the coming months.

The collab isn't all that surprising ... considering Tyga and Travis have worked on music together in the past. There's also some family history, of course.

You'll recall, Tyga dated Kylie Jenner many moons ago -- they were first linked when she was 17 and he was 24. As you know, TB married Kylie's sister, Kourtney Kardashian back in April 2022.

Travis has been rocking out with Blink-182 as of late, after sharing the stage at Coachella with his bandmates Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus -- their first shows in 9 years.

Kim Kardashian's got some serious star power as an actress ... according to Zachary Quinto, who says he was 'really impressed' by her work on the upcoming season of “American Horror Story."

Zachary gave Kim the kind words at the recent Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his new flick "He Went That Way," which he stars in alongside "Euphoria" actor Jacob Eldori.

The 'AHS' alum not only confirmed he'll be returning to Ryan Murphy's franchise as a cameo, but says Kim did pretty damn well from what he saw ... saying "She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness."

He says he's extremely excited to see her work in the final product -- adding she's going to do a wonderful job. Zachary even admitted, "I don’t think she needs my advice."

As we reported, it was revealed in April that Kim K would be joining the ranks in season 12 of "AHS," titled "Delicate" -- the big announcement also revealed Emma Roberts would be returning to the long-running series, although everyone's parts are kept under wraps.

A Kardashian coming-together went down this week that saw exes and former family foes in the same area for the same purpose ... celebrating their children's pre-K graduation.

Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Khloe Kardashian, Angela White (formerly Blac Chyna) and Tristan Thompson all attended a ceremony Wednesday in L.A. to celebrate their little ones' accomplishments... True, Stormi and Dream all finished preschool.

Remember, a lot of the Kardashian siblings have kiddos who are around the same age -- 4 years old or so -- so it makes sense to see the parents here. The interesting thing, of course, is that Khloe and Tristan as well as Kylie and Travis are no longer romantically involved, yet they all played nice in each other's company.

Eyewitnesses tell us that Khloe and Tristan -- who are clearly on good terms -- were interacting the most out of anyone ... just sharing friendly conversation. We're told Kylie and Travis didn't appear to interact, but his family also joined the celebration.

Lastly, Blac Chyna (now going by Angela White) was also in the mix ... although our eyewitnesses say she didn't touch base with any of the Kardashians. No word if her baby daddy, Rob Kardashian, was there or not ... but Mama Bear was on the scene.

While it doesn't seem like Kylie and Travis have much to say, Khloe and Tristan continue to prove they're in a great place as co-parents. Remember, amid their frequent hang-outs and speculation that they're back together ... we've been assured that's simply not the case.

A real Kumbaya moment here ... ya love to see it.

Kim Kardashian isn't oblivious to the masses of people who believe she and her family owe viewers more when it comes to sharing the intimate details of their everyday life ... having a serious convo about the future of the show.

KK got candid with her sister Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick on Thursday's episode of "The Kardashians" and took the time to address some of the criticism around the Hulu hit.

While says she enjoys reading the feedback, she went on to say at times it can be very brutal. She says "Khloe and I, we give real content. We're sharing every last detail of our lives." She continues, "I talk about me wanting to lose weight and I am brutalized. I am the face of all this criticism."

Kim also gives specific examples ... saying, "There was an article about season 2 that said Khloé didn’t give enough with her Tristan [Thompson] situation."

Kim did fess up to a couple things being more off limits -- like her issues with her ex-husband Kanye West and her most recent ex, Pete Davidson -- saying at times, she just simply didn't want to be filmed.

At the end of their heart-to-heart, the two sisters acknowledged deep down they do love the show and it's been the centerpiece of the entire family empire. Kim admits, "I will always want to film and give our all."

The Kardashian-Jenner clan first appeared on E! for their "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" series in 2007, which ran up until 2021. The 3rd season of "Kardashians" is now running on Hulu.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are essentially operating as one parental unit, but that doesn't mean they're romantic again ... despite growing speculation online.

Sources close to the two tell us they're still operating as they have been for months -- as co-parents -- but Tristan lives near Khloe's place, so they're spending a lot of time together. Remember, they now have two young kiddos, and we're told it's important to Khloe that the kids get to spend as much time with Tristan as possible.

Another clue that things are good between Khloe and Tristan -- she was spotted driving around in one of his vehicles last Tuesday -- so they're sharing keys too. Our sources say the two are in a great spot as friends.

What's more, we're told Khloe let Tristan and his younger brother stay with her in the immediate time following the funeral for Tristan's mom. At the time, Tristan was getting work done on the roof of his home after some water damage ... so Khloe opened up her doors.

TMZ broke the story ... it was back in January when Khloe boarded a private jet to be with TT in Toronto after his mom's sudden death. At the time, our sources told us Khloe wanted to be there as a source of support and comfort for Tristan -- Kim and Kris eventually came too.

Clearly, the family bond hasn't broken between anyone ... as we continue to see the Kardashian family support Tristan, even sitting courtside to cheer him on with The Lakers.

Kris Jenner was sitting courtside Monday night, supporting Tristan Thompson -- and perhaps bringing the NBA vet some luck -- 'cause not only did TT get a decent amount of burn, but he also scored his first points in weeks!

Unfortunately for fans of the purple and gold, it wasn't enough to keep the brooms at bay ... and the Lakers were swept by the Nuggets.

Jenner showed up to Crypto.com Arena with bae Corey Gamble ... and the two sat front row, along the baseline for the pivotal game.

32-year-old Thompson ultimately played 10 minutes, making 2 of his 4 attempted field goals for 4 points and 1 rebound.

Before game 4, Tristan had only played 1 minute total in the first 3 games.

Jenner's presence is seemingly further proof everything is good on the Thompson-Kardashian-Jenner front. In fact, when Tristan was first signed by the organization, Corey not only attended a game but also partied with TT afterward.

Kim Kardashian has also been to multiple games ... although Tristan didn't play.

Kris wasn't the only celeb in the building last night ... the place was jam-packed with celebs.

Everyone from Vin Diesel, to Floyd Mayweather, Alex Rodriguez, Kyrie Irving and Edward Norton attended the game.

Kourtney Kardashian is apparently hittin' the road with her beau Travis Barker and the rest of Blink-182 like a true groupie ... and the happy couple was out for a walk in NYC ahead of the band's epic concert at Madison Square Garden.

Kourtney and Travis were wandering down 5th Ave. Friday, sippin' some matcha just hours before Travis and co. blow the roof off the city's titular arena. They had some music-themed garb on, albeit on opposite ends of the spectrum -- him in Slayer and her in Ice Cube.

The 2 are still finding some time for each other despite their busy schedules ... and as you know, we've seen them practically attached at the hip numerous times over the years.

As we reported, Blink-182 rocked the Coachella crowd last month -- and it was a big one, being the first time in 9 years that Travis shared a stage with his bandmates Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus.

Khloe Kardashian says she keeps getting mistaken for her sister Kourtney ... so she's putting together a little project to set the record straight.

The youngest Kardashian sister created a slideshow presentation Monday on her Instagram story, highlighting all the ways she and her oldest sister Kourtney are similar and different.

Khloe jokes folks have been confusing her and Kourtney for years ... including the Elvis Presley impersonator who officiated Kourtney and Travis Barker's Las Vegas wedding, and more recently, the folks waiting outside the Ritz-Carlton in Manhattan.

It seems Khloe's mainly referencing the scene that played out Monday in NYC ... where a crowd was waiting for her and Kim Kardashian to climb out of their SUV and head into the Ritz ... with someone shouting, "Kourtney," as Khloe walked by.

Khloe jokingly says ... "I totally understand how we look like identical twins so this might be challenging for some but hopefully this presentation will help."

One of the major differences, Khloe says, is hair color ... she says 99% of the time Kourtney is brunette, and 99% of the time she is blonde. Khloe also points out she stands about 5'10 while Kourtney is much shorter at 5 feet, calling the height disparity a "dead giveaway."

Of course, Khloe says there are similarities too, which is why she thinks people get them confused. She says, "Kourtney is fabulous, gorgeous, hysterical so I get how people mix us up." Khloe also says Kourtney is "hot as f***" and that's another reason she thinks people "keep blending us together."

Khloe says the mix-ups happen "on a daily basis multiple times a day" ... and she says that's being conservative.

Big mystery in Montreal over the weekend at a Blink 182 concert ... someone enveloped in a blanket is getting special attention from one Travis Barker, and lots of folks suspect it's Kourtney Kardashian!

The ghostlike figure sat underneath the blanket for the entire concert. At times the person was moving around as if they were uncomfortable ... it was super hot in the venue.

So here's the clue. When the concert was over, Travis hopped off stage, wrapped his arm around the mystery person and walked off.

Now if this were some rando, you'd think security might step in and check out what's what, but that apparently didn't happen ... further evidence it's Kourtney.

Blink's really on a roll since Coachella.  They're now in the midst of their world tour. They perform in Toronto Monday.

Kim Kardashian's ready for her close-up, and is one step closer to getting on camera in one of the biggest and most popular shows on TV ... 'cause she's got her lines at the ready.

Check out these photos that were taken Friday, which show KK heading into a meeting in Beverly Hills ... with something of note in her arm. That would be the script for the new 'American Horror Story' season, in which Kim has been cast as a major character.

BTW, it doesn't just look like a generic script or outline ... this appears to be the script for a specific episode in the upcoming 12th entry of the series, which has been dubbed 'Delicate.'

On a zoomed-in shot, you can see it's been watermarked as Kim's copy -- and you can even make out a bit of the title of this episode. To us, it seems to read ... "When the Bough Breaks," and it has the lead writer's name featured (Halley Feiffer), as well as the director.

As we reported ... Kim was announced as being attached to 'AHS' last month, and she'll be acting opposite Emma Roberts ... among other cast members. Her exact role hasn't been declared just yet -- but there's a hint based on the source material, a forthcoming novel.

The book that this season is said to be based on is called "Delicate Condition," by Danielle Valentine. It's described as a story about an expecting mother who becomes convinced evil forces are trying to torpedo her pregnancy ... almost in the vein of "Rosemary's Baby."

Some have speculated Kim might be playing the pregnant mom, and that Emma could perhaps play another villain-adjacent character. Cara Delevingne was also recently cast.

BTW, if you're wondering how 'AHS' is moving forward amid the writers' strike ... it would appear Ryan Murphy and co. might already have some scripts in the can. When Kim was first tied to the new season, the word at the time was production was scheduled to begin shortly thereafter ... and that a summer premiere was likely, with an exact date upcoming.

Kim Kardashian has become a fixture, and maybe even a good luck charm, at the recent Los Angeles Lakers playoff games -- and while there's plenty of speculation as to her motivation in going -- we've got some answers.

If you tuned in to games 3 and 4 of the Lakers vs. Warriors this week, you likely saw the cameras pan to Kim sitting courtside with her friend Sarah Staudinger. Of course, social media was buzzing, wondering if Kim was there to support a possible love interest.

Our Kim sources say she's "absolutely not" dating anyone on either team, she's simply there to hang with her friend and to support her hometown Lakers.

What's more, we're told the courtside seats belong to Kim's agent, Ari Emanuel, who also happens to be Sarah's husband ... so the two women have easy access to two of the best seats in the house to watch the game.

Of course, Tristan Thompson is now on the Lakers' roster, so it's nice for Kim to be able to support him -- she's even posted a couple pics of TT at the game -- but our sources say she'd go and watch regardless of him being on the squad or not.

Kim's become quite the sports enthusiast over the last couple years, taking her kids to events both in L.A. and around the world. She's become a regular at L.A. Rams games with her son Saint, even taking him and some buddies across the pond for soccer matches. We're told she also brought Saint to one of the Lakers' playoff games.

Of course, Kim's always on the sidelines when her kids are playing sports too ... most recently taking in a soccer game over the weekend, which Kanye attended as well.

As for that Kardashian curse ... the Lakers are now 3-0 with Kim courtside, so they might wanna keep her around in their quest for another championship.

Kim Kardashian is showing some clear signs Tristan Thompson is back in good graces with the fam, and even potentially back with Khloe ... because she posted a pic of him looking as happy as can be after Monday night's Lakers win.

KK uploaded the snap of TT after Monday night's W against the Golden State Warriors -- with a big "YESSSSS GOOOOO LAKERS" plastered above his noggin. For the record, Tristan didn't get any time on the court, but it's a big team win nonetheless.

Worth noting, Kim appears to have taken the photo down as of Tuesday morning ... unclear why.

Regardless, Kim was super happy for Tristan and co., chilling courtside for yet another Lakers game. She was also there Saturday, and posted a pic of Tristan after that big win as well.

This time, she was with her mom Kris Jenner and Kris' boo Corey Gamble. A slew of other celebs were in the crowd -- Chris Pratt, Floyd Mayweather, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, and Judd Apatow.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian continue to be the modern example of co-parenting in the public eye -- as the two of them were once again in the same vicinity for their kids.

The exes came together Sunday to watch their son Saint's soccer game, which went down in Tarzana. In these photos, obtained by TMZ, you can see Kim seated in a chair with Saint plopped down in her lap and cheesing hard. Ye is standing behind them ... fully attentive.

As you can see, Kanye isn't keeping too much distance from Kim here -- he's within mere feet of her, and there doesn't seem to be any sign of animosity or friction ... a good sign.

An eyewitness tells us they actually made small talk here and there, and interacted a bit whenever Saint made a play in the field. In other words, it sounds like they're on pretty decent terms at the moment ... despite a bumpy divorce last year that dragged on.

Of course, this has come to be the status quo for Kim and Kanye -- they often show up to watch their children's events ... which are usually sports-related. Last time we saw this, Kanye brought along his partner, Bianca Censori, but she was nowhere to be seen here.

At one point, we're told the family -- who were accompanied by others -- hit up a food cart that rolled through ... and our eyewitnesses say Ye paid for everyone's treats.

Kim Kardashian has a very special person by her side at this year's Met Gala ... her daughter North West, who is making her debut at the event.

We just got video of Kim and North leaving the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New York City, where a ton of screaming fans have been camped outside waiting on their favorite stars to step out on their way to the event.

Kim's wearing a beautiful white gown, she's been teasing the look for a while now -- posting from Karl Lagerfeld's office in Paris just last week, so you know she's in Chanel.

North looked cute as ever, smiling as she made her way to the car with mom ... gotta assume she's wearing Chanel too.

Kylie and Stormi were also seen leaving the Ritz.

Kimora Lee Simmons was in Usher's sights this weekend -- which quickly turned into a steamy encounter ... all caught on video by Kim K while in the company of Khloe too.

The three gals were in Vegas Saturday to watch the singer perform, and once again ... Kim snagged great seats. This time, however, it seemed to be a ladies' night ... and KLS was the one Usher focused on with a lot of care and tenderness.

As you can see, the guy was shirtless and in search of some body rubs ... which Kimora provided. He even got her up on her feet and held her close as he serenaded her -- and the kicker ... he eventually fed her a strawberry in a very sensual fashion.

BTW, the attention Kimora's receiving here makes sense -- she played Usher's love interest in the music video for "Nice & Slow" way back in 1998. So this is like a reunion of sorts.

Looks like Khloe might've gotten a feel or two as well -- meanwhile, Kim just stood back and filmed ... seems she didn't really want any part of it.

More for Kimora, as it turned out ... 'cause she had Usher all to herself for several minutes. The irony, of course, is that both Kim and (maybe) Khloe are the ones who are very publicly single ... and yet, neither of them dove in for a taste of Mr. Raymond. Kimora is still technically married -- although she's estranged from her husband, so no harm/no foul.
