The coronavirus pandemic continues to force Americans indoors, but some simply can't take it and are venturing to new places for some fresh air and human interaction ... like The Hamptons.

It seems New Yorkers are beginning to flee the city and head to the beaches and bike paths of the popular summer destination ... maybe just a little earlier than usual, to escape the self-quarantine blues of NYC.

Though The Hamptons scene is nothing compared to the crowding of Florida's beaches -- or even a Farmer's Market in L.A. just Sunday -- it still looks like folks are willing to risk getting closer than the recommended 6-feet.

We're told rental properties in the seaside communities are also filling up, meaning "stay home" orders are being challenged ... with people leaving home to chill elsewhere.

It all begs the question ... how soon until beaches and gathering spots at The Hamptons are ordered closed, like the beaches of L.A. or pretty much everything in NYC?

Liam Hemsworth demonstrated a couple of things Saturday ... he's a crazy good surfer, and he's not afraid to catch those waves while others fear the coronavirus.

Check out Liam's surfing skills as he catches waves off Australia's Phillip Island. Aside from his ability to ride some gnarly waves all the way into shore ... he also practiced great social distancing. Hard not to, when you're the only one on a board.

He better get it in while he can, because on Monday many public areas in Australia will be closed, including public playgrounds, outside gyms and skateparks. Authorities have closed world-famous Bondi Beach after massive crowds made it dangerous.

It's unclear if the beach where Liam was surfing had been closed -- but he was hanging ten solo.

California has been hit hard by the coronavirus and people have been ordered to mostly stay inside -- but Saturday was one of the most spectacular days of the year, so an unusually large number of people hit the sand, much to the chagrin of Shannen Doherty.

Check out these surreal photos we got of a bunch of Angelenos Sunday who migrated en masse to a beach near Marina Del Rey. It's a pretty wild scene -- especially considering the beaches out here have been relatively dead of late, with bad weather and coronavirus fever.

It's not unexpected. Lots of people are going stir crazy at home, and the CA Governor has made it clear ... going out and exercising, with a proper amount of spacing, is fine. Some beachgoers aren't maintaining much social distancing, which is crucial during these times.

Funny enough, there was even one beach bum out there flying his kite ... while wearing a full motorcycle helmet to cover his noggin. Seems like nothing can keep people away from the beach on a beautiful L.A. day.

Of course, this has echoes of what's been going on in Florida -- where Spring Breakers and others have been flooding the beaches throughout the state to get their fix in, despite the possible ramifications. Gov. DeSantis still hasn't issued the order, although many beaches have been ordered evacuated by local officials.

DeSantis is being sued for not closing down the beaches ... so it feels like only a matter of time before beach days could be gone. Makes ya wonder if L.A. honchos might do the same. Oh, and BTW ... this is happening all over L.A. County -- including Malibu.

Liam Hemsworth's post-Miley Cyrus life is going swimmingly -- and by that, we mean he and his new girlfriend are making a casual dip in the ocean look smoking hot.

The Aussie actor was splashing around with model Gabriella Brooks this weekend in Byron Bay -- the coastal town where he and bro, Chris Hemsworth, both live. It looks like they went out pretty deep at first, and then started a leisurely swim back toward the shore.

Check out the walk-up back onto the beach ... looks like they're making their bid for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover. And yes, GB shows off all her best sides here -- Liam too for that matter. These 2 might be couple goals, fitness goals and life goals all-in-one.

The world-class ski legend is on a secret trip for a secret project with her adorable pup Lucy Vonn ... and it doesn't take a whole lotta investigative reporting to know it's a bikini thing.

Vonn recently hooked up with L Space -- a bikini company -- and by the looks of things, they made a good choice in a spokesperson!

The 35-year-old Olympic superstar has had a pretty massive year -- she got engaged to her NHL star boyfriend P.K. Subban (remember they proposed to each other?!) and officially retired from competitive downhill skiing.

Jonah Hill has mad skills in the water, which is incredible ... considering it was a great fear of his until just last year.

Jonah hit the sand with his surfboard just before 10 AM Friday in Malibu.

Pretty impressive ... considering the waves off PCH can be pretty intense.

He joined around 20 people who were catching waves as they enjoyed the sunny SoCal weather. Sorry Chicago, sorry New York, sorry New Hampshire, sorry Vermont, sorry South Dakota ... and especially sorry North Dakota.

After surfing for an hour, Jonah mugged with some of his fellow surfers before braving Pacific Coast Highway for the ride home.

Back in August, when Jonah started surfing, he said, "Been terrified to surf my whole life. Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine."

Ross has had his fair share of ASW in the past -- he won the slam dunk contest in 2013. He actually asked to participate in the 3-point contest, but the participants were already booked!!

How's George Kittle getting over the crushing Super Bowl loss? CAKES!!!

Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers were dropped in SB LIV by the Chiefs in heartbreaking fashion earlier this month ... and the All-Pro tight end took the loss pretty hard.

Cameras caught the guy on the sideline toward the end of the game pissed off ... but, it seems his bikini-clad wife, Claire, and some Mexico sun are helping him get through the rocky times.

Kittle, some of his Niners teammates and their significant others made the trip to Cabo earlier this week ... and it looks like they're all having a blast.

There's a boat ... bikinis ... some drinks ... and it definitely appears the bad Super Bowl memories are fading away quickly.

"A lil love & a lil sun cures a lot of things," Claire said of the trip.

Of course, when Kittle gets back to California ... the Mexico sun might not be there -- but at least he'll still have Claire!!!

Rob Gronkowski is making his bid for a cover photo shoot -- for AARP Magazine -- as the former NFL great flexes in the South Beach sand.

Gronk's spending part of his Wednesday showing off his rock-hard abs, toned legs and bulging arms down in Miami, and the retired New England Patriots superstar looks like he's still in game shape.

Sorry, Pats fans ... but Rob looks like he's enjoying life on the other side -- he's got his toes in the sand a huge grin on his face. Sure beats the hell outta frigid Foxborough.

Gronk's spending a lotta time in South Florida these days. Remember, he scooped up a sick condo in downtown Miami for $1.7 million, and a couple weeks back during Super Bowl weekend he hosted a huge party.

It's been almost a year since Gronk walked away from the NFL ... but he ain't spending any less time in the weight room!!!
