George Lucas will begrudgingly sign autographs for those shoving posters and pictures in his face -- but don't push it ... 'cause he'll tell you to get a J-O-B.

We got George in Bev Hills, where he talked about Ron Howard taking over directing for the new Han Solo movie, as well as the L.A. City Council voting on his proposed $1.5 billion museum ... all while dealing with pushy "fans" looking for his John Hancock.

The "Star Wars" creator tells them how he really feels about their "fandom" -- and it's pretty harsh. In his opinion ... at $200 a pop, they should be more grateful, less pushy.

'Star Wars' Young Han Solo ... First Shots from Set!!

Harrison Ford's out and Alden Ehrenreich is officially tapping into 'Star Wars' ... and we got the shots of him reporting for Han Solo duty.

TMZ's obtained exclusive pics from the set of the upcoming, and still untitled, anthology film about everyone's fave interstellar smuggler in his younger years. The awesome photos show Alden in action, and plenty of new vehicles and set pieces. Only question -- where's Chewbacca?!

Details of the film have been kept under wraps, but at least we now know Ehrenreich can rock the classic Harrison hairstyle.

The spin-off comes out Spring 2018, and co-stars Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson ... and, of course, Chewie.

WHAT A LIFE
TMZ.com

Gary the Dog turnt all the way up at a special Carrie Fisher movie screening Thursday ... and it's the most ADORABLE thing you're going to see all day!!!!!

Gary and his caretaker -- Carrie's former asst. Corby McCoin -- attended the May the 4th showing of "Postcards from the Edge" ... a movie the 'Star Wars' actress famously wrote about her relationship with her late mom, Debbie Reynolds.

But the real action went down outside Angel City Brewery in L.A. -- where Gary put on the cutest little show for his adoring fans.

Who's a good famous doggy!?! You are!! Yes you are!!!

Harrison Ford Star Wars Day with a Good Book ... 'That's Not How the Force Works'

Harrison Ford's idea of the perfect May the Fourth -- curling up with a novel.

You'd think Han Solo would log some air miles flying his plane, helicopter or the Millennium Falcon on Star Wars Day ... but instead he hit the Brentwood Market while clutching the book, "News of the World."

It's not even a sci-fi novel for cryin' out loud -- it's set in 1870 northern Texas!

Maybe Harrison's just reading up for a future movie role, but we think Chewie would be highly disappointed. Then again ... Han's dead.

Spoiler alert?

Carrie Fisher Force Grows Stronger ... On 'May the Fourth' Day

Carrie Fisher's gravesite is calm and peaceful on Star Wars Day ... but her force is starting to draw fans who want to honor the galaxy's Princess.

Princess Leia's headstone -- shared with her mom, Debbie Reynolds -- was already adorned with flowers, cards and a 'Star Wars' gift bag early Thursday morning. Many more are expected to arrive throughout May the Fourth.

No lightsaber fights breaking out yet, but it's early.

Carrie and Debbie's shared huge headstone was placed over their graves earlier this week at Hollywood's Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Yes, the Fourth is strong with this one. And also with this musical tribute to Leia ...

'May the Fourth' Day 24k Gold Darth Vader Mask ... Yours for $1.4 Million!!

You'd think a Darth Vader mask on sale for $1.4 million would at least have been worn in one of the 'Star Wars' films, but not so ... and yet, it's still pretty baller.

Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka created the Sith Lord's famous mask in solid 24 carat gold for the die-hard 'Star Wars' fan with super deep pockets. Naturally it had to hit the market today, May the Fourth ... aka Star Wars Day.

Don't worry about it being sold off. They're custom order, which means Ginza Tanaka seems to think more than one of these bad boys will sell. FYI, it takes about 10 goldsmiths 3 months to create the piece.

The mask weighs 33 pounds, so you better have a strong neck. Or actual use of the Force.

Darth Vader 'May the Fourth' Day Costume Sparks School Evacuation

A high school student's Darth Vader suit -- in honor of Star Wars Day -- was mistaken for a bulletproof vest, and caused an evacuation and police response in Wisconsin.

Police say the kid walked into Ashwaubenon High, near Green Bay, ready to celebrate 'May the Fourth Be With You' -- but a parent saw him, and immediately reported someone wearing body armor.

The school was put on lockdown and later evacuated, but cops say it's all an innocent mistake. Also, it's a sad sign o' the times.

IT'S A DOG'S LIFE
TMZ.com

Gary Fisher -- aka Gary the Dog, aka Carrie Fisher's beloved French Bulldog -- came in for a soft landing at LAX Saturday, under the watchful eye of his new owner.

Corby McCoin, Carrie's assistant, is now Gary's caretaker. As we reported, initially Carrie's family said Billie would care for Carey, but ultimately it made more sense for Corby to do the honors since the dog had more of a connection to her.

Gary was flying back from The Last Jedi panel in Orlando, where he was a big hit.

FYI ... Gary should have been on a leash at LAX per City ordinance, but he's been through a lot so everyone cut him a break.

'Last Jedi' Trailer First Oscar Nom for Luke? If Kevin Smith's Voting ...

GIVE HIM THE LITTLE GOLD MAN
TMZ.com

'The Last Jedi' trailer should do more than pump you up for the movie -- 'Star Wars' faithful should also get ready for the Oscars ... or at least that's the way Kevin Smith sees it.

Superfan Kev was still amped about the trailer debut when we saw him Friday in Bev Hills. He gave us a 30 second review, and then moved on to even bigger matters: Mark Hamill and the elusive little gold dude.

Our guy suggests Luke might finally get the Academy's attention with this flick, and it sounds like Kevin's on board.

Fun fact: The only 'Star Wars' acting Oscar nom was Best Supporting for Sir Alec Guinness in the first flick. Obi-Wan Kenobi ... he really was the "only hope."

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Trailer Released The Return of Luke Skywalker!

HE'S BACK!!!

The brand new "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" trailer just dropped featuring the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker ... and it looks awesome!!!!

Lucasfilm screened it during the 'Star Wars' Celebration in Orlando, Florida, on Friday -- and the Internet is already on fire.

There's R2D2, Rey, lightsabers, the Millennium Falcon and so much more!!!

The movie doesn't hit theaters until December -- but there's enough in this trailer to keep you busy trying to figure out the plot for a couple of weeks.

May the Force be with you ...

Harrison, Mark & Billie 'Star Wars' Family Reunion ... Honors Princess Leia

Mark Hamill had a moment -- an emotional one -- at the 'Star Wars' Celebration in Orlando.

Mark and Harrison Ford took this shot backstage with Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's daughter. As Luke put it ... "So much like her mother in so many ways- it was almost as if we were cuddling our Princess again."

Billie was in 'The Force Awakens' and will be back in the same role, Lieutenant Connix, for 'The Last Jedi' next year. She paid tribute to her late mom during Thursday's celebration. Not a dry eye.

The Force is with her.

Harrison Ford to George Lucas I Can Fly, Yes. Land, No!!!

LANDING JOKES

Harrison Ford's broken the seal -- it's NOT too soon to make fun of his landing skills ... or lack thereof, because that's exactly what he did with some help from George Lucas.

Han and George were at Thursday's Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, discussing why he was chosen for the iconic role. You gotta see how George lobs a softball, and Harrison hits it outta the park!

No shocker he's being such a good sport about it -- remember, Harrison called himself the "schmuck" who landed on a taxiway at John Wayne Airport.

'Star Wars' Star Daisy Ridley Floored at the Lakers Game

The force was not strong with the Lakers Tuesday night ... they got straight-up murdered by the Clippers -- but it all went down in front of a ton of huge stars including 'The Force Awakens' star Daisy Ridley!

The 24-year-old British actress (who played Rey in the flick) sat right on the court -- in a celeb-packed crowd that included Michael Phelps, Gucci Mane and Meghan Trainor.

By the way, Daisy's next 'Star Wars' movie -- 'The Last Jedi' -- doesn't come out until December. Try and stay calm, people.

Harrison Ford is taking to the skies again by himself ... and he's double-checking everything before liftoff.

Harrison flew out of Santa Monica Airport Saturday in a helicopter ... and the video is movie-worthy.

After the inspection, Han Solo flies solo into the sunny California skies.

Carrie Fisher Princess Leia Will Not Go Digital ... Lucasfilm Promises

'Star Wars' fans can rest easy ... Lucasfilm says they have no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher's performance as Princess or Gen. Leia Organa in upcoming films.

The company issued the statement to assure fans they will always strive to honor her legacy, and that does not include using digital effects. They add ... "Carrie Fisher was, is and will always be a part of the Lucasfilm family ... We are still hurting from her loss."

As we previously reported, Carrie's last film was not compromised as the result of her death ... she was completely done shooting her scenes for "Star Wars: Episode VIII."
