Prince Harry was without his Royal family during his Invictus Games event in London this week -- but he wasn't a man without a country ... 'cause the British public showed up.

The Duke of Sussex attended his big shindig at St. Paul's Cathedral Thursday to help ring in the 10-year anniversary of his famous charity -- and while he didn't have his dad, brother, or any other working Royal in attendance to help him celebrate ... he still powered through.

Harry showed up with a smile on before and after the commemoration ... and he even did a public walkabout to shake hands and exchange pleasantries with Britons on the ground.

Tom Selleck once jumped to Princess Diana's aid by taking her for a spin on a dance floor -- and he says he did it to spare her from petty gossip about John Travolta and her.

The actor tells this interesting story in his new memoir, 'You Never Know' ... explaining he was lightly cajoled into slow dancing with the late Princess of Wales in 1985 at a White House state dinner in order to ward off rumors she and Travolta were hooking up.

The way Selleck tells it, he was minding his own business -- hanging with Clint Eastwood in the East Room -- when Princess Di and the "Grease" actor decided to hit the dancefloor for a second time, and a woman rushed up to them speaking rapidly.

King Charles is stepping back into the public eye while undergoing treatment for cancer ... and on the heels of reports he's in failing health.

The British monarch visited a cancer hospital Tuesday in London, where he was joined by his wife, Queen Camilla -- who has taken up a number of additional royal duties amid the king's health struggles.

Together, the royal couple mingled with medical specialists and patients at the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, discussing the importance of detecting cancer early.

King Charles seems to be trying to put rumors of his ill health to bed -- the Royal Family just announced he'll return to the spotlight, this after reports his cancer battle isn't going well.

The Royal Family's X account posted a pic of the king and his wife, Queen Camilla, online Friday -- showing the couple looking happy and healthy ... while declaring His Royal Highness will take over public duties again beginning Tuesday by visiting a cancer treatment center.

Also in the statement ... word of KC and QC hosting the Emperor and Empress of Japan in June -- a major state visit coming up soon, and yet another seemingly tactical move by The Firm to prove the King can handle all major responsibilities.

While KC has been seen out and about these past few months after his diagnosis -- seemingly looking healthy and robust -- the Beast reports it's dire behind the scenes.

Queen Elizabeth II has been memorialized in metal in the UK -- and so have her famous corgis -- a couple of which were added to this new statue of her ... which is pretty spot-on.

The 7-foot bronze statue was unveiled over the weekend ... depicting a young QE2 with a few pooches at her feet, something she was known for while she was alive. As you may know, Liz loved her corgis ... and owned upwards of 30 throughout her lifetime.

That tradition comes through in the artwork here -- which now stands outside a library in Rutland ... the smallest county in England.

The Duke of Sussex updated his country of residence in new paperwork filed with Companies House, which was required for his eco-tourism nonprofit, Travalyst. Whereas he used to claim the United Kingdom as his home base ... that's now changed to America.

While Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have lived here in California for several years now -- these docs show the change in his residency didn't switch up on paper until last June.
