Prince William went to go see his wife, Kate Middleton, a day after it was announced she's going to be in the hospital for a while -- marking the start of what may be recurring visits.

His Royal Highness was photographed Thursday leaving the London Clinic ... this after dropping in for some facetime with the Princess of Wales, who just went through an operation -- and who'll remain under a doctor's watch for the next 2 weeks.

As you can see, Will was cruising in his own car with security personnel following close behind in a separate vehicle. He had a passenger with him ... but PW was behind the wheel.

It's no surprise that he's hitting up the hospital to see the missus -- frankly, the surprise news that she'd be bedridden for this long to recover came as a shocker ... indicating that whatever she's dealing with was quite serious. So, he was bound to arrive sooner or later.

Again, Kensington Palace didn't provide details about Kate's condition ... other than to say the abdominal surgery she received was scheduled, and that the procedure was successful.

They stressed she wouldn't be able to resume her Royal duties or attend engagements until after Easter ... and the Palace asked for privacy too. Not long after that, it was announced that King Charles was also going under the knife to deal with an enlarged prostate.

7:56 AM PT -- King Charles will go into the hospital next week for treatment for an enlarged prostate, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement.

The 75-year-old's public engagements "will be postponed for a short period of recuperation."

Kate Middleton went under the knife to deal with something in her gut -- and now, the Royals are saying she's gonna be bedridden in the hospital for two whole weeks.

The Princess of Wales underwent a scheduled abdominal surgery Tuesday -- which Kensington Palace says was successful. They don't get into details about what the procedure was meant to address -- but they do say she'll remain hospitalized for the time being.

Specifically, they say Kate will be under a doctor's care for at least 10 days ... if not 14. They also say that as she recovers, she won't be able to perform her public duties as a Senior Royal until after Easter -- something they say was recommended as medical advice.

Again, Kensington Palace isn't getting into the specifics of what's going on with her -- and they explicitly ask the public to respect her privacy during this time. They note they'll only provide significant updates on her condition ... and nothing more.

The palace also says Kate apologizes in advance for anyone inconvenienced by her postponed engagements, and looks forward to getting back on her feet in due time.

While her ailment is a mystery, sources with direct knowledge have assured TMZ ... her condition is non-cancerous -- so we can rule that out right off the bat.

Still, it's a startling development, which seems to have come out of nowhere -- and more troubling is the fact that a 14-day hospital stay after a surgery is quite a long time. Mind you, we haven't seen Kate in public since December ... and she looked pretty okay then.

Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly furious over her great-granddaughter's name ... according to a royal author who just revived the Palace vs. Prince Harry/Meghan Markle fallout.

Robert Hardman is calling BS on H&M's claims the Queen was supportive of her childhood moniker being passed on to their little girl, Princess Lilibet ... writing in a bombshell extract from his new bio, "Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story," she was the angriest he'd ever seen her over it.

This backs the statement from BBC's royal correspondence, Jonny Dymond, shortly after Lilibet's birth on June 4, 2021 ... stating the couple never said anything to the Queen about using the name -- let alone get her permission for it.

Another report from Daily Mail doubles down on the new book's claims ... saying the Queen was already frustrated she didn't own her own palaces or paintings ... only for Harry and Megs to take the last thing she owned -- her name.

The report cites an anonymous source who claims Liz said something to the effect of ... "'I don't own the palaces, I don't own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name. And now they've taken that."

The Queen was also reportedly taken aback when she found out Harry's intention to name his daughter Lilibet ... but felt like she couldn't publicly say no.

Nonetheless, this new naming and shaming is just the latest barb in H&M's continued estrangement from the royal family ... we're sure it'll be over something new next week.

As for the age-old question of what's in a name ... apparently a lot for the late QE2!

Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyer is sounding the alarms regarding the woman who claims she had sex with Prince Andrew ... saying she changed her story and something obviously doesn't add up.

According to new docs, obtained by TMZ, attorney Philip Barden says accuser Virginia Giuffre's past claims about Prince Andrew clearly demonstrate she told a lie.

Barden says the proof is her changing story about the alleged encounter with Prince Andrew, saying Giuffre claimed in 2014 that she didn't have sex with the Duke of York, but then claimed she did have sex with him "in what can only be described as a very small bathtub, too small for a man of Prince Andrew's size to enjoy a bath in let alone sex."

From Barden's perspective, Giuffre can't have it both ways ... saying "She was either lying when she said they did not have sex or when she said they did."

Giuffre claimed the alleged sexual assault started in Maxwell's tub and eventually moved to the bedroom when she was 17 years old. Prince Andrew settled a lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022, but has denied her allegations.

As you know, there have been mountains of docs that have been unsealed recently regarding Epstein, and lots of big names like Stephen Hawking, Bill Clinton, and many more have been seen in the released materials.

Jeffrey Epstein told one of his sexual abuse victims Bill Clinton like his girls young ... according to newly unsealed court documents.

The bombshell claim is from a deposition given by Johanna Sjöberg ... the deposition transcript, obtained by TMZ, says "Jeffrey told her 'Clinton likes them young,' referring to girls."

The former president's name appears several times among the hundreds of pages of recently unsealed court documents from a 2015 civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was one of Epstein's sex trafficking victims.

Clinton reportedly did not object to his identity being unsealed ... and he's long been linked to Epstein. In 2019, Bill said he went on 4 trips on Epstein's infamous private jet as part of humanitarian efforts with the Clinton Foundation, but denied knowledge about Epstein's crimes. Clinton denied ever having visited Epstein's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which was confirmed by Epstein's associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Also in the document dump are details about Prince Andrew.

In the docs, Epstein is accused of forcing a minor to have sex with Prince Andrew in London and New York ... as well as on Epstein's private island as part of an orgy with other underage girls.

The docs go on to say Epstein instructed Jane Doe #3 to "give the Prince whatever he demanded" and required her "to report back to him on the details of the sexual abuse."

There's also this quirky bit from Sjöberg involving a puppet of Prince Andrew, which she says Maxwell got from a BBC production. During a social gathering in NYC, Sjöberg says Giuffre sat on a couch next to Andrew, and she sat on his lap -- then they all posed for a photo with the puppet's hand on Giuffre's breast, and Andrew's hand on Sjöberg's breast.

She's acting like a regular Clevr employee in each shot -- packing up boxes and busy working at a computer. She's certainly noticeable though ... standing out like a sore thumb.

Toward the end of the digital commercial, she walks right toward the camera and attempts to fist-bump another Clevr worker -- but fails miserably, which makes her bust up laughing.

You can tell the whole thing's joke-y and meant to highlight her involvement in the company -- but, like we said, this is one of the first times she's technically gotten back on camera since she's gotten involved with Prince Harry. At first glance, she still has some presence to her!

If you're wondering what Meg has to do with this hippy-dippy coffee, she's one of a handful of investors for it -- and apparently sees major potential in growth, seeing the company's still private at the moment ... and relatively small compared to the big chains out there.

In fact, Clevr doesn't even have in-store locations that serve Java -- you gotta order their beans online and have 'em shipped to you. That said, it seems to have a pretty good rep.

Meghan got involved with them in 2020, and she appears to be far and away their biggest claim to fame ... something she doesn't mind flexing to help finish the year strong, it seems.

Diana famously took the Jacques Azagury-designed evening gown out for a spin in Florence, Italy, on April 23, 1985 ... and close to 4 decades later, the frock has been sold for a whopping $1,148,080.

The final figure was 11 times more than what it was expected to rake in ... having been initially listed for an estimate of $100,000 - $200,000 on Julien's Auction.

It was the top-selling item of the auction house's 4-day "Hollywood Legends" sale -- also breaking the world record for the most expensive dress worn by the late Princess sold at auction.

It's a stunning gown ... complete with celestial-print embroidery, a large bow, and on-trend shoulder pads -- and long before Kate Middleton became the queen of recycling, Princess Diana wore it again to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in 1986.

This dress was so influential it was also displayed at London's Kensington Palace for their Fashion Rules exhibit from July 4, 2013, to July 10, 2015.

Prince Harry just landed a huge victory in his landmark civil suit against the Mirror Group Newspapers, as the judge found the company illegally obtained information from the royal, awarding him about $180,000 in damages!!!

Judge Timothy Fancourt handed down his ruling Friday in a London courtroom, explaining that MGN-owned newspapers unlawfully gathered personal details about Harry's life and published them for the world to read.

Fancourt determined that the tabloids hacked Harry's phone and gained access to his voicemail messages to write their juicy stories.

In his 2019 suit, Harry claimed the intrusions went on for years, and also targeted his wife, Meghan Markle, causing them "considerable distress."

Judge Fancourt found that 15 out of the 33 articles published by The Sunday Mirror and another paper contained information illegally gathered by hacking into Harry's personal phone between 2004 and 2009. Harry's attorney entered a total of 147 newspaper stories into evidence -- and many of them were forensically analyzed.

Most of Harry's allegations in the suit occurred from 1991 to 2011 at a time when he was running third to the British throne behind his father, King Charles, and his older brother, Prince William.

During the trial, Harry testified for seven hours, making him the first senior royal to take the witness stand in centuries in a court of law.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's philanthropy org was said to have been in the red this year -- but there's missing context ... including the fact it's got big-time $$$ stashed away.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... a recent report suggesting the Archewell Foundation was strapped for cash after suffering a substantial decrease in revenue between 2021-2022 is misleading, 'cause it doesn't take into account the org is not a corporation, folks.

In other words, these sorts of things can't simply be measured in mere profit and loss -- as our sources say the Archewell Foundation is still humming like it was when it first launched back in 2020 ... and actually ended the year with more than $8 million in the bank.

What the report harped on is the fact that in the org's most recent tax filing, it shows donations were down between '21 and '22 ... going from $13 million in 2021 to just about $2 million in 2022. The foundation also notes it (technically) came in at a loss at about $674k since its costs somewhat outpaced its revenue this past year ... but like we said, context.

We're told it's not uncommon for donations to decrease after a charitable org's debut year, and oftentimes the first year is often the strongest.

The Archewell Foundation smartly stored that huge influx of cash they got between 2020 and 2021 and are now divvying up the dough based on their long-term goals. So, yes ... donations are down, but AF is not out of the philanthropy game.

There was also a claim in the report in question that Archewell's CEO James Holt had received a fat pay raise between 2021 and 2022 -- jumping up in salary from $59k to about $227k. We're told that '21 figure was just a partial year of Holt's pay -- however, the source was not specific about Holt's full annual salary.
