Former Clemson football star Diondre Overton was laid to rest at a heartfelt ceremony on Thursday ... less than two weeks after cops say he was shot and killed at a house party.
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Xavier Thomas -- Overton's former Tiger teammate -- shared a video on his Instagram page of the funeral services held at the Westover Church in Greensboro, North Carolina ... and you can see, it was all very emotional.
At the venue, Overton's loved ones paid tribute to the 26-year-old by displaying his Clemson football gear next to LED lights that spelled out his nickname, "Dre." Photos of him during his years with the Tigers were also arranged near a stage.

The NHL team announced Wednesday the first salute will happen at CBJ's preseason opener against the Buffalo Sabres on Sept. 23, when players will sport blue and gray decals on their buckets. The stickers will have the "Gaudreau" name on it -- along with their jersey numbers and two doves.
Columbus also revealed there will be a moment of silence for the duo at the team's first home preseason game against the St. Louis Blues on September 25.

Florida surfer Jorge Alvarado -- who was placed on life support after suffering a serious head injury during a wipeout at Daytona Beach last week -- has died, his friends announced Wednesday. He was only 49 years old.
Justin Gore provided the tragic update on Alvarado's GoFundMe page ... saying the memories they made together will live on forever.
"Jorge, rest in paradise brother," Gore said. "Your spirit was as vibrant as the ocean waves you loved to ride. You brought joy and adventure to everyone around you."

High schooler Emily Gold, 17, was found dead under a bridge on the eastbound 210 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, California just before midnight Friday. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ she is believed to have jumped from an overpass above and landed on the freeway below.
We're told CHP got 911 calls about a pedestrian down in the carpool lane, and when authorities arrived, they found at least one vehicle had run over Gold ... and didn't stop.

A Lions fan lost his life on Sunday -- after he was shot and killed during a party after Detroit's home game against the Buccaneers.
Detroit Police say the man -- who was in his 40s -- had been at a tailgate at Eastern Market in downtown in the hours after the Lions lost a heartbreaker to Tampa Bay ... when he got into an altercation with another man.
Cops say witnesses told them the two guys squared up as if they were going to fight -- when, suddenly, the man's opponent pulled out a gun and fired.
