The saga of Charlotte the Stingray has come to a sad end ... as the famed fish has died.
The Aquarium and Shark Lab in Hendersonville, North Carolina shared the heartbreaking update ... Charlotte passed away Sunday amid treatment for an illness.
After thanking fans for their love and support during Charlotte's unconventional journey, her caretakers noted the aquarium will remain temporarily closed ... but the other fish will still be looked after during this time.

Andrew died Thursday while he was in custody at Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland, New Zealand ... his father, Roy Jury, told The New Zealand Herald.
The cause of death is unclear ... and prison officials reportedly rushed to save Andrew's life.

Fatal Shooting 13-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Armed Killed By Police
A 13-year-old boy apparently brandishing a gun was shot to death by police in New York – and the violence was all caught on video.
The footage opened with three cops running down a street after the teen in the upstate city of Utica on Friday night.
The officers caught up to the boy and wrestled him to the ground in a residential area. A cop can be seen standing over the boy outside a house and punching him as he lay on the front lawn. There was a brief scuffle before one of the officers fired a bullet into the youth.

Seth Binzer -- the lead singer of Crazy Town -- was homeless in the months preceding his death -- according to his friend and sober coach Tim Ryan ... who tells us he was helping Binzer on his sobriety journey over the last few years.
As we reported ... the L.A. County Medical Examiner said Binzer - aka Shifty Shellshock -- died Monday at an L.A. home. According to Tim, Binzer was living in a tent in downtown L.A.'s McArthur Park, after bouncing from house to house following a recent relapse.
He tells us his wife, Jennifer Gimenez from "Celebrity Rehab" ... received a call last week informing her of Seth's whereabouts and Tim was planning to fly to L.A. to help locate Seth in the park and get him back into treatment ... but sadly, it was too late.

Martin Mull -- famous for his work on "Roseanne" -- is dead.
The longtime actor died Thursday at his home, the result of a long illness ... according to his rep, Jennifer Craig.
Martin played Leon Carp on "Roseanne" back in the day, appearing in 46 episodes. He was also a regular on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and had a recurring role in "Two and a Half Men."
