Our camera guy thought he ran into "Real Housewives" star NeNe Leakes -- until a major death stare made him think twice, and say something that made this video way more awkward ... and hysterical.

There could be a canine calamity tonight on "Dancing with the Stars" ... because we've learned Lisa Vanderpump's pooch Giggy will dance his paws off.

Giggy -- a permanent fixture on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" with more than 65,000 Twitter followers -- has been added to Lisa's inaugural dance number ... and if all goes according to plan (i.e. no poo mishaps) the pooch will hit the floor LIVE.

In fact, we're told Giggy -- who's slated to make his entrance at the end of the routine -- has been rehearsing non-stop with Lisa and her pro-partner Gleb Savchenko.

Gleb might make the Pomeranian a permanent fixture ... it all depends on his performance ... and how well he wears sequins.

Pressure's on.

You won't see Penny Lancaster on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" next season ... 'cause she officially TURNED DOWN the reality show ... this according to her husband Rod Stewart.

As we previously reported, Penny was one of the front-runners to replace Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer ... but yesterday at LAX, Rod told us his wife ultimately pulled the plug on the negotiations.

"She doesn't want to do that sort of thing," Stewart said ... adding, "She's just happy being a mom."

Meanwhile, producers are still on the hunt to round out the cast ... and sources tell us former "Extra" host Dayna Devon is still a favorite to make the cut.

Lisa Vanderpump is returning fire after Adrienne Maloof called Lisa's Bev Hills restaurant a "disaster" -- and her first shot ... a low blow about Adrienne's plastic surgery.

Lisa delivered the insult moments ago outside her restaurant Villa Blanca -- which Adrienne has been bad-mouthing around town, giving it a 2 out of 10 and calling it a "disaster."

TMZ broke the story ... Adrienne is on the offensive now that she's opening her own Bev Hills restaurant just blocks from Lisa's.

Adrienne Maloof is picking a food fight with Lisa Vanderpump by opening a competing restaurant ... and Adrienne is telling her business associates, she's gonna "kick Lisa's ass!"

TMZ has learned ... Adrienne -- who is leaving "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" -- is opening a restaurant in Bev Hills, just blocks from Lisa's Villa Blanca.

Adrienne is telling her business partners her restaurant will blow Villa Blanca away. In fact, she's saying on a scale of 1-10 (10 being great), her archrival's restaurant gets a 2, calling it "a disaster."

As for Adrienne's eatery, it will offer comfort food -- steaks, seafood with a Mediterranean twist. It will seat 200 people and will be "celebrity friendly" -- with a private entrance in the back.

As for Lisa, she told TMZ yesterday her business is great and said if Adrienne's been complaining that "Real Housewives" hurt her business it's her own damn fault.

Adrienne Maloof just fired ANOTHER parting shot at the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" ... saying she can finally "sleep well at night" now that she's left the show.

As we first reported, Maloof quit "RHOBH" just a few weeks ago ... telling producers the intrusiveness was ruining her family and her personal life. We're told things between Adrienne and Bravo have turned "ugly" recently after she refused to appear on the reunion show ... and now it's clear, she's still pissed.

Just a few hours ago in Bev Hills, Maloof told a photog how excited she is to be away from all the drama ... and called her departure "a big relief."

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump is blasting a planned boycott of her show -- saying if Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer's careers have suffered ... it's their own damn fault.

We asked Lisa about some bigwig Hollywood lawyers and managers who are advising clients NOT to join "RHOBH" because it could damage their careers ... a la former 'Housewives' Adrienne and Camille.

But Lisa took a jab at her ex-costars -- basically saying the girls got what they deserved after behaving the way they did on the show. It's pretty biting ... especially with her accent.

LV added -- while exiting her restaurant Villa Blanca -- HER career is doing just fine, thank you.

NeNe Leakes flagged down a Beverly Hills cop today ... after accidentally locking her dog in her car ... TMZ has learned.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star left her keys in the vehicle and couldn't figure out how to get the door open. The resourceful cop did the trick, and fido was free!

The dog was never in real danger ... it's pretty cold in Bev Hills today.

In case you're interested, it appears the dog in distress was a yorkie named Playa.

Several lawyers and managers in Hollywood have banned together to tell clients who could become cast members of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" to stay clear of the show ... TMZ has learned.

Sources very familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... the triggers for the boycott are Camille Grammer and Adrienne Maloof. As we first reported, both of them will NOT be returning to the show.

Here's the gripe -- the way the show is structured, cast members can say ANYTHING about anyone on the show and get away with it, even if it's inaccurate and malicious. Camille and Adrienne have -- in the past -- complained that other cast members have lied about their business ventures, including Adrienne's Las Vegas casino, and they've had no legal recourse.

As one professional put it, "It's fine if Brandi Glanville does the show. She doesn't have anything going for her and the show makes her famous. But for someone who has a real business or career outside the show, they need to stay a mile away."

The Garden State is picking a catfight with "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Jacqueline Laurita -- claiming she needs to pay off a $340,000 tax bill ... OR ELSE.

The NJ Division of Taxation filed the tax lien against Jacqueline -- who has been a regular on the show since season 1 -- earlier this year for exactly $338,337.05.

The docs don't specify which year(s) Jacqueline allegedly racked up the debt, but if she doesn't pay up soon, they could go after her assets.

Jacqueline is not the only NJ housewife to botch her finances -- her two nemesis on the show, Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice, are both in the middle of a bankruptcy right now.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Sheree Whitfield says she's being harassed by a triad of bloggers who sneak onto her property and take pics without her permission to post online -- and now a judge has ordered them to stay away.

Sheree was granted THREE temporary restraining orders in Georgia on Feb. 22 and Feb. 26 against Tamara Brawner, Quentin Latham and Michelle Brown.

Specifically, the 'Real Housewife' says Tamara (restraining order #1) has been spying on her and trespassing on her property since 2011 to write a blog -- "Chateau Sheree" -- about the construction of Sheree's mansion.

Sheree claims Tamara "gained access" inside the home on Feb. 18, took pics and video, and posted them online. She adds, "I'm afraid for my life."

Sheree also claims Quentin (restraining order #2) and Michelle (restraining order #3) -- have pulled the same hijinx on her property, although she says they didn't enter her home.

A judge granted three temporary restraining orders. Tamara was ordered to stay at least 500 yards away from Sheree. Quentin and Michelle were ordered to stay 200 yards away.

9:00 AM PST -- Michelle Brown tells TMZ ... she and Quentin never trespassed onto Sheree's property and any photos / video they posted on their blog were taken from the street, near the stop sign.

Adrienne Maloof has shut down Bravo's plea to appear on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reunion show ... and TMZ has learned it all has to do with a secret document she signed with estranged hubby Paul Nassif.

Sources connected with the former couple tell TMZ ... Adrienne and Paul signed a restraining order as part of their divorce, prohibiting them from talking about each other, their kids or the divorce.

We're told Adrienne has been advised she should not go on the show because it's a certainty the other women will attack her over the divorce and Adrienne can't legally defend herself.

Sources say it got "ugly" between Bravo and Adrienne, because the network felt she had an obligation to appear.

One final semi-related point ... Brandi Glanville has been saying Adrienne filed a lawsuit against her, but we found out that's not the case. It seems Brandi is friends with a lawyer who has done business with Adrienne and Adrienne believes the lawyer has been "spilling secrets" about her to Brandi. Sources say Adrienne's lawyer sent Brandi's lawyer friend a letter telling her she had better shut up ... or else.

Bobby Brown's going to jail ... Lisa Vanderpump's going to "Dancing With the Stars" -- we're not sure what they have in common ... but they were buddy buddy last night after a fancy celebration dinner.

TMZ broke the story ... on Tuesday Bobby was sentenced to 55 days in jail for his third DUI -- but on Wednesday night he enjoyed dinner at Madeo with family and friends ... and walked out of the restaurant arm-in-arm with Vanderpump.

It's news to us that BB and the 'Real Housewives' stars are pals ... but last night they even joked (we hope) about sharing custody of LV's pooch, Giggy.

The daughter of "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Tammy Knickerbocker won't spend another second behind bars after being convicted of drunkenly smashing into a bunch of cars and punching a cop.

TMZ broke the story ... Lindsey Knickerbocker got popped in one of the craziest DUIs ever -- not only do cops say was she insanely drunk (she had a BAC of .32%), but she allegedly committed a multi-car hit-and-run too.

And for the topper, she allegedly slugged a cop in the gut.

Now TMZ's learned Lindsey struck a deal ... pleading no contest to 3 charges -- DUI, hit-and-run, and battery on an officer -- and a 4th for driving with a BAC of .08% or higher has been dropped.

Lindsey was sentenced to 3 years probation, 129 hours of community service and a 9-month first offender alcohol program.

Adrienne Maloof has no problem landing men -- but last night in Los Angeles, she paid $25,000 for a makeout session with Mario Lopez ... and it was all for a good cause.

Maloof and Lopez were part of the Have a Heart Auction in Honor of Zeke (HelpZeke.com) ... an event to raise money for Zeke Kendall, a 20-year-old man who underwent heart transplant surgery last month.

The auction -- held at Mixology at The Grove -- featured a red dress from the Kim Kardashian collection (worn by Kim herself) and a signed Charlie Sheen jersey from the movie "Major League" (see below).

"Extra" co-host Maria Menounos put herself -- along with Jaime Pressley and Jane Seymour -- on the auction block … and some lucky guy got to kiss all three of them … with a winning bid of $30,000.

But "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star (for now) Adrienne Maloof saved her money for the chance to lay one on the hunky Lopez ... forking over 25 large in the process.
