Mark Cuban has high praise for the restaurant owner who kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders out of her restaurant over the weekend, while Donald Trump went on a rant claiming the eatery is filthy.

We got Cuban leaving Nate 'n Als Sunday in Bev Hills and, although he thinks it's good the restaurant owner took a moral stand, he worries it could become a slippery slope and other owners could deny service based on race or sexual orientation. The good news ... under federal law, an owner can't discriminate based on race. The laws governing sexual orientation are dicier.

On the other side ... Donald Trump -- the man who praised Kim Jong-un -- excoriated the restaurant by tweeting, "The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!"

President Trump just tried to make light of an insanely tough situation in one of the most awkward exchanges we've seen ... and it revolves around Tom Selleck.

Trump was in Washington Friday, where he spoke to a group about the importance of keeping the country's borders secure. With him onstage were family members of people who have allegedly been killed by illegal immigrants.

Trump invited one woman to speak, who presented a photo of her son to the crowd. 45 grabbed the pic and awkwardly compared the son (who has a mustache) to Tom Selleck, "except better looking."

It also appears Trump signed the photo.

Melania Trump's getting destroyed on social media for wearing what most would consider a tone-deaf jacket ... considering she wore it on her way to visit child detention centers in Texas.

As she boarded the plane Thursday in D.C., Melania was rocking a green trenchcoat with bold lettering on the back that read, "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" It's a ZARA jacket that retails for about $40.

The First Lady made a surprise visit to McAllen, Texas ... where hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrant children are being held after they were separated from their parents crossing the border. Melania said she was there to help reunite children with their families.

No one's gonna argue with her decision to make the trip, but her wardrobe selection's a whole other story.

FLOTUS' spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, has said, "It's a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today's important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn't going to choose to focus on her wardrobe."

Paris Hilton voted for President Trump, but she is calling him out for separating children from their families at the border -- and she's demanding her longtime family friend to do better.

Paris was leaving Delilah Wednesday night in WeHo when she went off on Trump, telling us ... "This is inhumane. NO child should be treated this way. I'm disgusted."

Her family and the Trumps have been tight all her life -- but watch the clip ... sounds like she's ready to turn her back on him now.

Mira Sorvino's echoing the outrage millions of Americans feel about immigrant families being separated at the border, but is hopeful President Trump could really end it ... if he only had a heart.

The Oscar-winning actress was at LAX Wednesday, and told us she's cautiously optimistic about the executive order Trump just signed, reversing the policy he enacted last month. She didn't mince words ... blasting Trump for deliberately making a choice to destroy families' lives.

She's also fed up with politicians and talking heads blaming previous Presidents. Mira puts the blame squarely on 45.

As we reported, the President signed the executive order to keep families together, but made it clear the "zero-tolerance" prosecution of illegal immigrants will continue.

Tim Kaine says President Trump is full of it and, despite what he says ... his true mission is to stop all immigration in the U.S. -- not just people coming here illegally.

We got the Virginia Senator at Capitol Hill in D.C. Wednesday and, after completely dismissing what Ann Coulter claims about kids in detention camps ... he put the Prez on blast for rejecting a bipartisan deal in February that would have helped Dreamers and provided $25 BILLION in border security.

Kaine says the real deal with Trump is ... he's obsessed with making life miserable for all immigrants -- legal and illegal -- and punishing kids, and his demand for more border security is just a guise.

Kirstjen Nielsen -- the Secretary of Homeland Security -- busted out a walk of shame after a group of protesters disrupted her dinner at -- of all places -- a Mexican restaurant.

The incident went down Tuesday night at the popular MXDC Cocina Mexicana Restaurant near the White House ... where Nielsen sat in the back surrounded by her security detail and waited for dinner.

That's when a group from the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America showered her with boos and grilled her about Trump's inhumane policy to separate children from their parents crossing the border.

The group asked her, "Aren't you a mother too? How do you sleep at night?" and "Do you hear babies crying?" The group also chanted "shame" and "end family separation" ... and 10 minutes into the ordeal, it proved too much for Nielsen to handle because she bounced.

Charles Barkley clearly thinks Dennis Rodman made a huge mistake getting into bed with Kim Jong-un ... calling the guy a brutal dictator -- but says he's sort of giving The Worm a pass.

Our photog argued that Rodman deserves credit for setting up the historic meeting between the leader of North Korea and President Trump -- but Barkley shut our guy down.

"Dude, he's a dictator. He treats people like crap. Stop it," Barkley argued.

But, when it came to judging Rodman's role in the summit, Barkley would only says he loves the guy and wouldn't give him credit.

By the way, with the NBA Draft coming up on Thursday -- we asked Chuck if he thought LiAngelo Ball had a shot at getting his name called ... and he didn't say no!

Cesar Millan's sad about what's happening in America -- with immigrant families being torn apart -- but believes there could be a way to fix it ... get President Trump a dog!!

We got the famed pup whisperer at LAX Tuesday, and he went to bat for all of the immigrants in the U.S. ... pointing out how he "jumped the border" himself years ago, and is now a tax-paying citizen who contributes to the country.

His message to the Prez doesn't stop there, because he suggests a canine companion is what Trump needs to soften his spirit, become more human ... and stop separating kids from their parents.

Ann Coulter's spewing a wild new theory about kids in detention camps ... claiming the kids are all part of a huge "political stunt" designed to destroy America.

Coulter was out in NYC Tuesday when we asked her if she's seen the latest pictures of kids being held in cages while their parents are criminally prosecuted under the Trump administration's strict new policies.

Coulter's adamant the kids are actors ... though she offers ZERO proof. In the past she's claimed a New Yorker article backs her "actors" theory, but we, and others, have dug for such an article -- to no avail.

We reminded her Laura Bush and several other former First Ladies have called the camps inhumane while speaking out against Trump's policy. Well, Coulter even gave them a piece of her mind, too.

There's no denying, Coulter's fired up here -- but ya might wanna take it with a grain of salt.

Actually, grab the whole shaker.

Doug Christie -- one of the players on Dennis Rodman's '14 basketball trip to North Korea -- says there's NO WAY he'd return ... unless LeBron James was involved.

Christie -- along with Kenny Anderson, Vin Baker and other ex-NBA stars -- famously traveled to Pyongyang to play an exhibition game for Kim Jong-un. They called it "basketball diplomacy."

But, Christie tells us the trip wasn't exactly peaches and cream -- saying, "I kissed the ground when I got back."

Doug tells TMZ Sports he does believe the trip helped lay the groundwork for Donald Trump to meet with Kim Jong-un, which he believes is a positive thing ... and he's praising Rodman for his role.

L.A. Chargers star Mike Pouncey says he's ready and willing to take Donald Trump up on his offer -- telling TMZ Sports, "If he wants to talk, we'll talk."

Remember, earlier this month Trump said he wants to reach out to NFL players for input on people in the criminal justice system who deserve a presidential pardon.

"I am going to ask all of those people to recommend to me -- because that's what they're protesting -- people that they think were unfairly treated by the justice system," Trump said.

So, when we saw Pouncey out at Catch the other day, we asked how he felt about Trump and his offer.

"I don't think he has a bad relationship [with us] ... If he wants to talk, we'll talk."

Rep. Steve King doesn't understand the fuss over immigrant children being placed in detention centers -- after separation from their parents -- because he says they're getting great care and having more fun than most American kids.

The Iowa Congressman was in D.C. Friday when he addressed the outcry ... telling us he's visited one of the centers, and found it totally hospitable. He raved about the kids getting exercise, meals, and a warm place to sleep -- not to mention medical treatment that surpasses what they get in their native countries.

Of course, what they they don't have are their parents.

King, a Republican, insinuates the Democrats are spinning this into a controversy, and adds ... the centers were open during Obama's administration and no one complained then.

One side note, relevant to the immigration issue ... King came under fire this week for retweeting British Neo-Nazi Mark Collett's take on immigration. He has not deleted it.

Donald Trump Jr. wasted little time getting together with his estranged wife, Vanessa, after she fiercely defended his new relationship with FOX News host Kimberly Guilfoyle.

DTJ and Vanessa were seen leaving their apartment in NYC on Friday morning and appeared to jump into the same waiting SUV. They were probably together since they're still co-parenting their kids ... but ya gotta imagine he thanked her after she blasted haters dogging on his new GF.

One media outlet went as far as saying Kimberly should be fired because she couldn't possibly stay neutral while dating a Trump kid. One thing's for sure ... Don Jr.'s got a strong ally in Vanessa, who filed for divorce back in March.

So ... happy ex, happy life?

President Trump just gave Kim Kardashian all the credit for Alice Johnson's prison release.

The Prez was giving an interview to "FOX & Friends" on the White House lawn Friday and was talking about meeting Kim and her quest to free Alice. As we reported ... Kim took up Alice's cause last year and arranged meetings to get the great-grandmother's life sentence commuted after she was convicted in 1997 for a nonviolent crime.

Alice had no idea who Kim was, but Kim took it upon herself to ultimately end up with Trump in the Oval Office and convince 45 to let her free. He did ... leading to Alice's emotional reunion with her family, which Trump dubbed as a beautiful thing.

Kim Kardashian says the first person she called to start the process of freeing Alice Johnson was none other than Ivanka Trump ... who apparently got things in motion.

Kim and Alice sat down with "TODAY" host Hoda Kotb and explained how Alice came to be released from prison last week while serving a life sentence. Kim says she called Ivanka, who was completely sympathetic to Alice's situation. The rest is history.

A few other interesting tidbits from the interview -- Alice says she had no idea who Kim was before getting a ton of help from her. Also ... Kim says she cracked a joke about Khloe to President Trump to break the ice during the Oval Office meeting.
