Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg paid their respects on D-Day's 80th anniversary -- the Allied invasion of Normandy ... looking on with many prominent world leaders in France.

The actor-director duo appeared in Normandy Thursday ... standing stoically in dark suits alongside numerous onlookers. They understand the gravity of the invasion as well as any -- remember, they've worked on multiple war projects together, including "Saving Private Ryan," which depicted D-Day.

They also created the show "Band of Brothers" -- released back in 2001 -- following an Army unit during WWII. Their work together on this front is clearly why they were there.

Here's what you didn't see when Vice President Kamala Harris' sat down with Jimmy Kimmel -- an activist group infiltrated the audience and called her out for supporting Israel, screaming and chanting as security dragged them out.

CODEPINK -- an anti-war activist group -- posted a clip of the clash, which started Wednesday evening with pro-Palestinian protesters calling Harris a murderer who supports genocide in the Middle East.

Jimmy tried to crack some jokes in the moment before the house band broke into a Stevie Wonder classic -- an odd accompaniment as security removed the shouting protesters.

It doesn't look like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is going to have a chance to join President Biden and former prez Donald Trump on the debate stage this month -- and he thinks it's mostly Biden blocking him.

We spoke to the independent presidential candidate for Wednesday's "TMZ Live," and he explained why he recently filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against CNN ... alleging it colluded with the Biden campaign to keep him out of the mix for the June 27 debate.

According to RFK Jr. ... he believes Joe and co. clandestinely made CNN alter the criteria for debate inclusion, so that, technically, he wouldn't qualify -- which is something CNN has outright denied, FWIW.

Zoe testified Hunter's crack use was near constant in private and that he "would want to smoke as soon as he woke up." On the flip side, she also says he was universally liked while out in public ... telling jurors he was "charming."

President Joe Biden's son is on trial in Delaware, where federal prosecutors previously indicted Hunter on gun charges. Hunter showed up at a Wilmington courthouse bright and early Monday, and jury selection is currently underway.

The Bidens are making history here ... Hunter's trial is the first ever involving the child of a sitting president.

Video circulating on social media captures the moment the two groups met in the City of Brotherly Love ... with the LGBTQ+ walk halted in front of Pro-Palestinian individuals yelling out "Palestine will live forever! From the sea to the river!"

Drummers in the LGBTQ+ march are beating away on drums while protesters on the other side scream their chants ... and, a few people start getting testy, with one person seemingly held back from approaching the Palestine protesters.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... with the Pro-Palestine Rally going down in West Hollywood Saturday, coupled with anger from Donald Trump supporters over his recent conviction in the hush money case, cops are bracing for a rocky ride.

We're told there'll be uniformed deputies scattered all over the place, along with cops in plain clothes, and a heavy dose of surveillance.

Donald Trump's longtime friend Bernard Kerik has some thoughts on how he should serve his time if his guilty verdict lands him behind bars.

Kerik -- who served as Commissioner for the New York City Department of Correction as well as the NYPD commissioner -- tells TMZ segregating Trump in a prison facility isn't enough ... he needs his own facility for safety reasons.

BK -- who received a Presidential pardon from Trump in 2020 for numerous federal convictions -- explains Trump wouldn't be a high-risk inmate in terms of fighting guards, inmates, or attempting an escape -- instead, the environment around him would be high-risk.

"The View" hosts couldn't contain their excitement a day after Donald Trump was convicted -- especially Whoopi Goldberg ... who took her sweet time to rub it in on the air.

The actress-comedian -- who apparently hasn't used Trump's name on the show in years -- riled up the crowd at the end of the show ... when she repeated "guilty" 34 times in reference to all of DJT's convictions, for 34 seconds no less.
