4:46 PM PT -- We're told Hayes has been booked for battery on a law enforcement officer -- a felony. His bail has been set at $25k.
10:53 AM PT -- The Pelicans have addressed the arrest ... saying they're aware of the incident and are working with Hayes' reps and the NBA to get more information.
New Orleans Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes -- the #8 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft -- was arrested after an alleged violent altercation with police, TMZ Sports has learned ... and it apparently got so extreme, the hooper and a cop were taken to a hospital.
We're told law enforcement were called to an LA area home for a domestic disturbance early Wednesday morning ... and when cops attempted to check on the parties involved, 21-year-old Hayes tried like hell to keep them from entering the premises.
Sources tell us 6'11", 220-lb. Hayes got combative with cops and a fight broke out ... with the ex-Texas Longhorns star getting tased in the middle of the scuffle.
The brawl was allegedly so intense, police put out an "officer needs help" radio call.
Hayes was taken to a nearby hospital to get treatment for minor injuries ... and an officer involved in the fight also sought treatment, although their condition is unknown.
Hayes is expected to be booked for felony battery on a police officer. Cops are still investigating the initial alleged domestic incident, but both parties have been uncooperative.
We've reached out to Hayes' rep. So far, no word back.

Capitol Riot Hearings Ofc. Fanone Shares Vile Voicemail ... 'I Wish They Woulda Killed All of You!!!'
Officer Michael Fanone says his testimony for Congress is triggering the hell out of someone who left him a vile voicemail ... filled with hate speech and wishing death on him and other police officers.
The Washington D.C. police officer says this message was waiting for him after he testified Tuesday on Capitol Hill, and it's clear the person was watching him on TV at the time. The caller said, "You want an Emmy, an Oscar? What are you trying to go for here, man? You're so full of s**t you little f****t f**ker."
Typically, we would censor much of this recording, but we think it's important to hear the venom this caller spewed. His disgusting rant continued with ... "How about all the scummy Black f**king scum for 2 years destroying our cities and burning 'em?"
Fanone has been outspoken about the violence that rioters unleashed on him and other officers during the Jan. 6 riot -- but the caller thinks they got off easy. He added, "That was s**t on the God damn Capitol. I wish they woulda killed all you scumbags. They stole the election from Trump and you know that, you scumbag."
Fanone is one of several officers who testified this week for the Jan. 6 insurrection hearing convened by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Reacting to the voicemail, Fanone told CNN, "This is what happens to people that tell the truth in Trump's America."
Despite the epithet-laced voicemail he received, Fanone's testimony clearly had an impact on Congress. Shortly after the House hearing, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved $2.1 billion to shore up security at the U.S. Capitol.

Hero NY Cops Save Baby Trapped Under Car ... That Slams Into Building!!!
A couple of New York cops are being hailed heroes after this INSANE encounter where they saved a baby girl who was pinned underneath a car -- and after watching this video ... you might give 'em a round of applause yourself.
This wild episode went down Friday in Yonkers ... where a vehicle that was cruising through a not-so-busy street lost control while trying to make a simple left turn at a stop sign -- slamming into a parked car, then accelerating into a woman carrying an infant ... and then into a building.
The car actually crashed straight into a barbershop ... where this lady and her 8-month-old ended up getting dragged into after the vehicle came barreling through the wall, with them on the hood. The 2 cops who saved the day, Officers Fusco and Samoyedny, were at a nearby shop ... and responded after hearing the commotion. Luckily, they sprung into action as quickly as they did ... 'cause the kid ended up getting trapped underneath somehow!!!
You gotta watch this body cam footage to see what they did. With the help of bystanders, they lifted the car enough to be able to grab the girl and pull her out from under the rubble. You can hear her crying, and her mother screaming, as they finally lift her to safety.
The mother and child are expected to survive their injuries. As for the driver ... 43-year-old David Poncurak was arrested for DWI (among other charges) ... this after cops say they found an alcoholic beverage inside his car and suspected he was under the influence.

Wisconsin Police Dept. Deny Planting Drugs in Car ... Release Body Cam Footage
The Wisconsin police department that had one of their own accused of planting drugs in a Black man's car says the claim is BS -- and they say they got the full video to prove it.
The Caledonia Police Dept. posted an update into their investigation -- which they say isn't done yet -- but based on what they've found so far ... they feel confident saying the officer who was caught on video tossing a baggie into the back seat is being wrongly blamed.
The Chief of Police, Christopher Botsch, says the car was pulled over for speeding in a 45 MPH zone, and after the front seat passenger refused to ID himself -- and finding the rear passengers weren't wearing seat belts -- the cops apparently decided to conduct a search.
CPD uploaded portions of two body cameras from what appears to be 2 different officers -- the first shows the cop in question being handed a little baggie -- which the department says was an empty "corner tear" -- by another officer who was checking it out and then going back to the car and throwing it back in ... which is where the OG video picks up.
The police say that little baggie -- which, again, they say was not illegal in and of itself since it was empty, albeit indicative of drugs -- was found when they searched one of the rear passengers, something they say you can see in a second body cam video they uploaded.
Since there was nothing in it, CPD says the cop essentially discarded it back into the car, which they say probably wasn't a great idea, but note ... nothing sketchy happened. Their video also shows the convo that happened after ... something GlockBoy Savoo's didn't.
Caledonia Police say there's over 6 hours of footage to review since there were four officers present -- so they say they're gonna need more time to get the full picture. However, they reiterate that thus far ... it doesn't appear as if anything criminal was done -- on either end.
They also point out that no arrests were made from this stop ... only a speeding ticket was issued. GlockBoy Savoo, meanwhile, doesn't appear to have responded to the cops' story.

Wisconsin Cop Caught On Camera ... Allegedly Planting Drugs on Black Man
Now, this is weird -- a Black man caught a cop on camera apparently tossing a baggie of drugs into his car ... but the police department in question is saying there may be more than meets the eye here.
A guy who goes by GlockBoy Savoo on Facebook -- who appears to be a musician of some sort under a label called TrechKids -- posted this video that's now going viral. It shows what appears to be a traffic stop underway in a car that Savoo is in ... and captures an eyebrow-raising moment.
You see a police officer -- who has since been identified as belonging to Caledonia PD out of Wisconsin -- approaching the car and quickly tossing something into the back seat. The photog, who appears to be Savoo, questions what it was ... and the cop kinda plays dumb.
The camera man jumps to the back seat for a close-up shot of what it is ... and it looks like a little baggie, indicative of drugs. It's a quick 16-second clip, and you can't see what happened after or before this strange moment. On its face ... it looks kinda sketchy.
Savoo is flat-out accusing this officer of what sounds like planting drugs on him as a way to get probable cause to search the rest of the vehicle. He writes, "First time ever seeing a cop try to throw sum on me just to get reason to search the car💯 he ain’t even know I was recording 💯 you can tell he was nervous 💯." Caledonia PD has another POV.
This what they have to say ... the cop does appear to be one of their own, and they've located the report for this incident. They're doing a full investigation as well into the insinuation something was planted -- including pulling body cam footage, dash cam video and testimony from this officer as well as others on the scene. They say it'll take some time.
Waiting for your permission to load the Facebook Post.
The Chief of Police there, Christopher Botsch, also adds this ... "Please keep in mind that the cell phone video that is circulating depicts only a small portion of the entire encounter; whereas, all available video may provide more context." He adds, "The Caledonia Police Department believes strongly in transparency; therefore, all body worn camera video will be made available within the coming days."

Here's the first look at Derek Chauvin behind bars since he was sentenced for murdering George Floyd, and he looks ... well, sleepy with a measure of defiance.
TMZ's obtained Chauvin's first mug shot in prison ... a place he'll call home as he serves his 22.5-year sentence. He kept a stiff upper lip as he mugged for the camera in his orange standard issue. He also looks like he's struggling to keep his eyes open ... he looks out of it.
We're told the Minnesota Department of Corrections snapped the new mug shot June 28 ... just 5 days after his sentencing.
As you know ... Chauvin was found guilty of 2nd-degree unintentional murder, 3rd-degree murder and 2nd-degree manslaughter ... but the 2nd-degree conviction is what sticks.
The former Minneapolis police officer learned his fate 2 months after the verdict.

Both Richard Sherman AND cops suffered gnarly injuries during the NFL star's arrest last week ... new police photos, obtained by TMZ Sports, show.
In the pics, taken by law enforcement after cops say they were involved in a massive struggle to arrest the NFL player on July 14 ... you can see Sherman and cops were bloodied in the alleged scuffle outside of Sherman's in-laws' home in Redmond, WA.
Some of the pics show Sherman had a big gash on his foot that needed to be closed with stitches.
In other photos, you can see one officer had a big scrape on his shoulder ... while another had a large wound on the inside of his thigh.
Fortunately, cops described all of the injuries as minor ... with none of the parties needing significant medical treatment.
Other photos cops released Thursday appear to show damage to the door that Sherman pounded on as he tried to enter his in-laws' home just before his arrest.
As we previously reported, Sherman has been hit with five misdemeanors -- including DUI and resisting arrest -- over his alleged actions during the night.
He pled not guilty to the charges in a King County courtroom last Friday ... but said in a statement earlier in the day, "I am deeply remorseful for my actions."
Sherman is due back in court for a hearing in his case on Aug. 13.

NFL's Zaven Collins Arrest Video Cards' 1st-Round Pick Begged Cops To Not Arrest Him ... During Speeding Stop
-
Exclusive

"I know you could scold my ass, and I know you could really, really help me out and, just -- please, sir!"
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Zaven Collins -- a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft -- begged cops over and over again to not arrest him during a speeding stop in Scottsdale, Ariz. last month ... and the entire incident was captured on police video.
In the footage, obtained by TMZ Sports, cops pulled over Collins and told him they were stopping him because they said he was going a staggering 76 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Collins was surprised to hear the number ... and told one of the officers, "Nah, I was not going that fast," before adding, "I apologize."
Collins then explained he plays for the Cards while handing over his ID.

— Arizona Cardinals (@AZCardinals) April 30, 2021 @AZCardinals
The officers eventually placed Collins in cuffs ... and after they told him they were arresting him for excessive speed and reckless driving -- the 22-year-old football player began pleading with them to let him go.
"There's no reason for this," Collins said. "Are you serious?"
Collins then begged some more to the officers ... adding, "I've been cool. I've been chill. Can you please? Please, sir?"
Collins was ultimately placed in the back of a squad car ... and he tried one last time to get out of the arrest there.
"I know I sped a little bit, sir," Collins said ... "I'm just saying, can you help, like, please? Just show a little bit of love. Please. God bless. Please."
Unfortunately for the football player, he was still booked and later charged with 1 count of exceeding the speed limit and 1 count of reckless driving.
Collins' case is still playing in the court system. His next hearing is slated for late August.
Collins -- who just signed his first contract with the Cardinals in June -- is expected to compete for a starting linebacker position in Arizona this season.

Britney Spears BF Rear-ends Driver with Jeep ... Admits Fault

2:44 PM PT -- Sam isn't mincing words about what happened in the accident, or who was at fault -- the guy just copped to it being his bad ... but he says there are more important things to remember in times like these.
Check out the video he just posted to social media, giving fans an update to his fender bender. He says it hasn't been more than a few weeks that he's had the whip that was involved, but more importantly ... he admits it was he who's to blame for the run-in.
Sam doesn't get into the nitty-gritty on the how, but he does provide this useful piece of info ... the other driver is OK, and he seems to be alright as well. Which, really, is the best news one could hope for after something like this. He also thinks this might've been a sign.
On that note, it appears Brit's BF is a bit superstitious ... perhaps stunningly so. He says putting an egg underneath your tire and rolling over it backwards prevents bad luck -- something he apparently gets set to do right before the video cuts out.
Never heard of that one before, but do what you gotta do, bud ... be safe out there!
While Britney Spears is confidently taking on family members and haters, her BF's week is off to a rough start ... after getting into an accident near the singer's house.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Sam Asghari had what amounts to a fender bender Monday with a woman driving a Saturn about 10 minutes away from Britney's home in Thousand Oaks, CA.
It's unclear what exactly led to the crash, but we're told Sam's Jeep struck the other driver's car, there were no injuries and nobody was cited. You can see in the video we obtained police talking to Sam about it.
The driver of the Saturn appeared to be sitting in her backseat while cops spoke to Sam ... who drives a Jeep Rubicon.
The crash comes after Britney's weekend of blasting haters who criticized her for posting her home dance videos. She basically told 'em, love it or leave it -- "I'm not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think!!!!"
She also took aim at her sister, Jamie Lynn, for having performed a medley of Britney tunes during a 2017 award show.
That newly public family battle comes as Brit and her new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, continue her battle to remove her father as a conservator.

Tulsa's 'Most Wanted' Woman Gets Herself Busted ... After Asking on FB Post About Reward Money!!!
If the show "America's Dumbest Criminals" is ever revived it's got prime content courtesy of a woman in Oklahoma who got herself arrested after commenting on Tulsa PD's "Most Wanted" Facebook post ... about her whereabouts.
So, here's the deal, Tulsa PD posted Lorraine Graves as the "Weekly Most Wanted" for accessory to murder in a homicide that went down earlier this year. Graves' comment was about the reward money. She asked, "What's where's the reward money at." Not smart.
The post was quickly flooded with comments from others ... including a woman who said, "Giiiiirl you better stay off social media they can track you!!" A man responded, "Ain't gonna be as funny when you get processed." The post drew around 1,200 comments.
The day after the post ... cops say detectives tracked down Graves and arrested her and charged her with accessory to murder. Her bond's been set at $500k.
Two other suspects had previously been arrested earlier this year and were reportedly hit with murder charges for a shooting that killed a 30-year-old man at an apartment complex.
As for the reward money ... there was a Facebook commenter wondering the same thing because the person asked, "Well did she get her reward money[?]" Guessing, hell no.

Nikolas Cruz Attacks Jail Guard on Trial for Assault Charges
Nikolas Cruz -- the gunman responsible for killing 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School -- is facing new charges for attacking a jail guard ... and the video showing the whole thing go down is chilling.
Cruz was captured on surveillance video, released in court Wednesday, in an all-out brawl with a Broward County Jail guard. Just before the attack, which happened in 2018 -- but is just now coming to light -- Cruz can be seen walking in circles with his head down.
Cruz and the guard then appear to exchange words ... the guard said in court he told Cruz not to drag his feet so he wouldn't ruin his jail-issued sandals. Cruz appears to flip him off with both hands and then charges at him. They wrestle for a bit before Cruz throws some heymakers.
Eventually, the guard takes control, after pulling out his taser, and Cruz gets on the ground and taken into custody. It does not appear the stun gun was deployed.
Cruz was was hit with battery and assault charges from the incident. The jail altercation is reportedly being tried separately from his ongoing first-degree murder case.
Cruz's attorneys say the jail guard mistreated Cruz and that he provoked the attack.
Cruz has been indicted on 34 counts for the Parkland shooting -- 17 premeditated murder, and 17 attempted murder. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the school massacre.

Cops: Dwayne Haskins NFL QB Suffered 'Substantial' Injuries ... After Alleged Fight With Wife
-
Breaking News

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins suffered "substantial" injuries -- including a knocked-out tooth -- after his wife allegedly hit him during an altercation in Las Vegas ... this according to cops.
It's all spelled out in a police report, obtained by KTNV, in which cops say they were called to the Cosmopolitan on July 3 to investigate claims that Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins had attacked the NFL player in their hotel room.
In the report, cops say Dwayne told them the fight went down because his wife was disgruntled after he had gone to a nightclub with friends without waiting for her and the rest of the group.
Cops say Dwayne had a busted lip that needed stitches, as well as a missing tooth. They described the injuries as "substantial in nature."
Cops also say in the report that the 24-year-old QB "would most certainly require dental work to repair his teeth."
In the report, cops say Kalabrya told them she was not sure how the football player suffered the injuries.
Kalabrya was eventually arrested ... and court records show she's been since hit with a felony charge of battery which constitutes domestic violence with substantial bodily harm.
Records show she's due in court next month for a hearing in the case.
As for the couple's relationship, it's clearly a confusing matter ... 'cause just over the weekend, the two had posted what appeared to be an engagement announcement.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
In their social media posts ... the quarterback and Kalabrya showed a video of Dwayne getting down on one knee at a Vegas restaurant and giving Kalabrya a massive ring.
But, in the police report, cops say the couple told them they had actually already gotten married in March after dating for over a year.
Cops say the two also told them they were in Vegas with friends and family this month to "celebrate their commitment to each other."

Andrew Brown Jr. Estate Sues Over Police-Involved Death ... He Posed No Threat!!!
11:47 AM PT -- Brown's Aunt Lillie and his family attorney, Harry Daniels, joined "TMZ Live" Wednesday to explain why they filed this lawsuit ... Daniels says it all comes down to transparency.
The lawyer tells us the family hopes to push the authorities to release any and all additional evidence pertaining to Brown's case -- both leading up to and following his death -- because they believe he was unlawfully killed by police.
According to Daniels ... cops failed to follow clear North Carolina law when they opened fire on a fleeing suspect, and they clearly want answers as to why no criminal charges were filed by the Pasquotank County D.A. against the officers involved in Brown's death.
Andrew Brown Jr. was unarmed and posed no threat to law enforcement officers who fired their weapons and killed him earlier this year during an attempted arrest ... this according to a new lawsuit against the officers involved and their bosses.
Brown's estate filed suit against the Pasquotank County and Dare County sheriffs, as well as several of their deputies ... who were allegedly part of the cavalry that showed up on April 21 to execute a search warrant, and ended up shooting and killing ABJ. His aunt, Lillie Brown Clark -- who is also his estate's administrator -- says the killing was without cause.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the estate says officers showed up to wrangle Brown at his home on suspicion of drug trafficking ... something for which an arrest warrant was issued. However, the estate claims the warrant was invalid because it lacked a signature from a judicial officer.
The estate says a small army of officers descended upon Brown unsuspectingly that morning -- and freaked him the hell out as he was sitting in his parked car in his driveway. Accordingly, the estate says Brown panicked and tried to escape ... and claims he did so without endangering any officers' lives.
The suit says Brown made sure to turn his wheel in an effort to avoid hitting any of the cops ... but the officers still unloaded a barrage of bullets at him and his vehicle -- with a fatal one striking him in the back of the head.
The main argument here is the shooting was completely unnecessary -- as the estate claims Brown was unarmed, posed no threat to officers and was fleeing. It's the same points the family has made in news conferences since his death.
You'll recall ... the family had been asking for the full body cam footage depicting the events leading up to his death, plus the fateful moment he was shot. Pasquotank County eventually released multiple angles of the full encounter.
The estate is suing for excessive force, assault and battery, wrongful death and more. They're asking for more than $30 million in damages.

Prince William Rips Racists Who Targeted England Players After Loss ... 'I Am Sickened'
-
Breaking News

Prince William says he's flat-out "sickened" that Black England soccer players were the targets of racial abuse on Sunday ... calling the disgusting comments "totally unacceptable."
Racists spewed vile words toward Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka -- who are Black -- after they all missed kicks during England's penalty shootout loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 championship match ... and it didn't take long for William to rush to their defense.
The 39-year-old issued a stern statement on social media, writing, "It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour. It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable."
William's words are certainly commendable -- given the racial abuse that the players received ranged from n-word-filled rants to flat-out threats -- but, they didn't come without some criticism from observers.
Some on social media wondered why William didn't issue a similar statement after Meghan Markle told Oprah earlier this year that she had been subjected to racial abuse from members of the Royal Family.
As for England soccer officials, they, too, condemned the racism that their players were subjected to ... saying they were "disgusted" and "appalled" by it all.
"We're disgusted that some of our squad -- who have given everything for the shirt this summer -- have been subjected to discriminatory abuse online after tonight's game," the team said.
"We stand with our players."

Added England's Football Association, "The FA strongly condemns all forms of discrimination and is appalled by the online racism that has been aimed at some of our England players on social media."
"We could not be clearer that anyone behind such disgusting behaviour is not welcome in following the team. We will do all we can to support the players affected while urging the toughest punishments possible for anyone responsible."
The Metropolitan Police say they're aware of the comments ... and are now vowing to investigate it all, saying in a statement Sunday, "This abuse is totally unacceptable."
"It will not be tolerated and it will be investigated."
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also condemned the racist remarks, adding in a statement of his own, "This England team deserve to be lauded as heroes, not racially abused on social media."
"Those responsible for this appalling abuse should be ashamed of themselves."

Ohio State Trooper Saves Choking Driver's Life ... Guy Swallowed Weed!!!
-
Exclusive Details
- 4.1K shares
A driver in Ohio got in serious trouble when he tried to avoid a weed bust by swallowing the green, and he's damn lucky the state trooper who pulled him over knows the Heimlich.
Law enforcement tells TMZ ... the crazy traffic stop went down in Portage County, when Trooper Charles Hoskin pulled over Stephan R. Elash for speeding. Police say he also wasn't wearing a seat belt, but that was the least of his worries
As you can see in Hoskin's dash cam footage of the July 3 stop ... he realizes Elash is having trouble breathing, so he tells him to step out to try to dislodge what's caught in his windpipe.
After a few Heimlich thrusts, the driver tries to throw up, but it's still not working. That's when Trooper Hoskin had to really apply some force ... which saved Elash's life.
You can see the driver admit he swallowed a gram of weed, and apologize to the officer. EMS checked him out and he was okay, medically. Legally? Well, he was cited for speeding, failure to wear a seat belt -- and yes, hit with a misdemeanor for marijuana possession. It's still illegal in Ohio.
After Elash's stop, the Ohio State Highway Patrol issued an important, though pretty obvious, warning -- "Don't try to swallow a bag of drugs prior to getting pulled over in an attempt to keep a trooper from finding them."
Tell that to the guys from "Super Troopers."
