James Harden gave a group of NYC kids a day they'll never forget Monday ... showing up to a Harlem playground to help them paint -- and providing words of encouragement.

Harden teamed up with Publicolor -- a not-for-profit youth development org. for at-risk and low-income NYC students -- for the gesture ... and pics from the event show it was all awesome.

The Beard helped paint walls -- using all of his 6-foot-5 frame to splash on swaths of yellow and blue -- and he also posed for a ton of pics with the kids as well.

The NBA star told media members on the scene that he was able to deliver inspiring messages too ... saying he told the group, "Keep pushing. Every day isn't going to be perfect. We all have bad days. We all have days where it's not great. We're human."

Harden added, "And as long as they can get that at a young age and keep pushing and keep fighting and stay focused on school and taking care of their families, good things will happen."

Publicolor’s founder Ruth Lande Shuman praised Harden for coming out ... while the org. also tweeted a giant thank you to the Nets guard for showing up.

"We had such a great time with you today!" Publicolor officials said. "Thank you so much for helping us transform PS 149 in Harlem!

Lone Star state actor Raini Rodriguez was still a teenager when she locked in the role as the spunky best friend Trish -- who also acts as the musical manager while alongside the up-and-coming artist tackling the entertainment industry -- in the classic Disney sitcom "Austin & Ally."

RR shared the screen with the Disney duo Ross Lynch as the awesome music maker, Austin Moon ... and Laura Marano as the brainy singer, Ally Dawson.

Fun Fact: Raini's brother is Rico Rodriguez ... who is well known for his role as Sofia Vergara's son Manny on "Modern Family.

Halloween 2021 is officially in the books, and the stars certainly took advantage of having a year off from celebrating, putting a ton of effort in for this year's bashes.

Megan Thee Stallion -- dressed as a fairy -- hosted a huge event at Ysabel in West Hollywood ... one of the more notable costumes from that party was Adam Lambert, who was all decked out as some sort of aquatic king.

The Weeknd went all out for his costume, per usual, as Don Vito Corleone from "The Godfather" with full prosthetics ... he really looked like the real deal.

Doja Cat, dressed as Cynthia from Rugrats, Anderson .Paak pulled off the perfect Bruno Mars and Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou dressed as "Joker" for Kendall Jenner's private birthday party at Harriet's Rooftop in West Hollywood.

Preaching public health, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom dressed as a doctor and vaccine titled "Katy & Perry" ... perhaps a play on Johnson & Johnson.

As for couple's costumes, Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian paid tribute to the movie "True Romance" with their Halloween look ... and Kylie and Travis Scott took Stormi trick or treating.

These spooked stars are getting the daylight scared out of them!

Popular nighttime attractions -- such as Universal Studio's Hollywood Horror Nights, Knott's Scary Farms, Haunt O'Ween, and more -- were scatted with spooked stars this month.

Some celebrities, like Wilmer Valderrama and Rob Dyrdek, checked out some of the more family-friendly events ... while Seth Green and Bridget Marquardt amped up the haunt with some really freaky frights.

Also, cute couples like Karl-Anthony Towns & Jordyn Woods and Finneas O'Connell & Claudia Sulewski were seen keeping each other company for comfort!

Anthony Davis as Candyman was most definitely a standout, as was Aaron Rodgers as John Wick -- a costume he says was a year in the making ... which is ... strange. Just throw on a suit and get going, right???

Big Hollywood Halloween bashes Saturday night ... and most of the celebs stuck to tried-and-true costumes.

Darren Dzienciol's CARN*EVIL party was hosted by Alessandra Ambrosio in Bel Air. Lots of folks showed, including Meagan Good, Doja Cat, Tyga, Josie Canseco, Ryan Phillippe, Victoria Justice and Jeff Ross.

Another Halloween bash attracted the likes of Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner and Emma Roberts.

There were various other parties as well, but all of the costumes were PG Halloween. Not so much over at the TMZ office Friday ... where several of us may have crossed the line!

Paris Hilton dressed up as Cinderella, Justin Bieber was a teddy bear, Dove Cameron played The Joker, and Jamie Foxx was a Gremlin. And, then there's Joe and Sophie who came as Paolo and Isabella from "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," and Emma Roberts who came as clown Hannah Stocking.

The Small Dong March is the brainchild of YouTube stars Chad and JT ... the surfer bros famous for pitching the San Clemente City Council on a 12-foot-tall Paul Walker statue.

Not everyone in the march was there because they had a small dong ... despite some of the chants you can hear on video echoing down the streets.

We're told attendees did not have to pack a small penis themselves, they could just be an ally.

The Small Dong March is the latest step in the crusade to end small penis shaming ... the organizers previously hosted a small dong art show.
