Suns out, buns out ... never has that been truer then when Snapchat queen-turned singer YesJulz hit the sand in a thong bikini.

Julz, who runs the music label 1 AM Entertainment, lit one up during a relaxing day at Escondido Beach in Malibu ... alongside pal and "The Last Ship" actress Jodie Turner-Smith.

Julz wasn't the only one getting high ... so was the tide, which nearly took her down. Don't worry ... Jodie was there to pull her up.

Drake knows what makes for a cool summer -- ice cream! -- so he threw down some cash to have it handed it out in a lucky L.A. neighborhood.

Sources close to the giveaway tell us Drake did it to promote his new album -- lyrics are plastered on the sides of the Ice Cream Occasions carts -- and because he thought it'd be a "cool thing to do on a hot day for the community."

Here's a first look at the life-size Chris Cornell statue that will be erected next month at Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture.

Cornell's wife, Vicky, commissioned sculptor Nick Marra in March for the project. It's bittersweet how Vicky discovered the artist ... Marra's the same guy who created a sculpture for Anton Yelchin's tombstone.

Chris and Anton are buried only 40 feet apart at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and Vicky struck up a conversation with Anton's mother about his sculpture when they were both visiting the gravesites.

Marra tells us ... Vicky gave him an old photo of Chris doing what she called "the rock god pose" for the statue. Marra got one of his son's friend's who's 6'3" -- the same height as Chris -- to model for the body scan. He used that to make a foam statue, then covered it in an oil-based clay before bronzing.

Since it was a rush job each body part had to be bronzed separately, and it wasn't cheap.

Less than 2 months after taking a softball to the FACE -- and undergoing surgery -- Clay Matthews is back in front of the camera ... looking as beautiful as ever!

Remember, the NFL star caught a comebacker to the grill while playing in a charity game on June 2. He ran off the field while dripping blood and had surgery right after the incident.

But on Thursday, the 32-year-old Green Bay Packers linebacker surfaced in California to shoot a commercial for Walmart without any noticeable scarring.

Props to the surgeon ... like Michelangelo with a scalpel!

As for the softball injury, Clay was pitching to offensive lineman Lucas Patrick -- who connected a little TOO well.

After the incident, Clay tweeted ... "Thank you for all the concern and well-wishes. I busted my nose pretty good and will have surgery once the swelling subsides. Thankful as it could have been much more serious."

Attendees at Comic-Con's 2018 Cosplay immediately kicked things into third gear Day 1 with their studio-quality costumes ... trust us, they're incredible.

'Bachelorette' star Becca Kufrin went from a great hair day to a bad one after a few rides at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Becca and a gal pal got the royal treatment at Disneyland Wednesday cruising around with a park guide, which means they likely didn't have to wait in line. Plus, she's on ABC which is owned by Disney ... so, yeah ... instant FastPass.

Becca showed up with a perfectly blown-out coif, but it was no match for the Radiator Springs Racers and Incredicoaster.

The 26th annual ESPYs brought the feels early with an intense recap of the year's most exciting and touching sports moments ... then Danica Patrick lightened the mood.

Danica -- the show's first ever female host -- came out hard with jokes ... about Cleveland sports, J.R. Smith's Finals blunder, LeBron's hair, Ben Simmons joining the Kardashians -- and even the National Anthem controversy.

As you can see, some went over better than others.

Then it was on to the awards, with Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell kicking things off with an ESPY win for Best Breakthrough Athlete. Other winners included the U.S. Women's Hockey Team for Best Game, Baker Mayfield for Best College Athlete, and Nick Foles for Best Championship Performance.

Chloe Kim took home the ESPY for Best Female Athlete, Alex Ovechkin nabbed Best Male ... and the Houston Astros won Best Team.

The evening also included powerful tributes to Bills QB legend Jim Kelly, who received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, Best Coach going to the 3 coaches killed in the Parkland shooting ... and the sister survivors of sexual abuse by Larry Nassar being honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Lionel Messi has found a pretty good way to get over Argentina's disastrous World Cup exit ... load up your smokeshow wife on a yacht and float on over to Ibiza.

Messi rounded up his fam -- including Antonella Roccuzzo -- for an expensive and relaxing boat trip.

Of course, Messi's Argentina squad got bounced from the World Cup in late June after a pretty pathetic performance ... though he did score one of the most impressive goals of the tourney.

The two took things to a private cabana in Miami Beach on Sunday with a group of friends -- where they packed on the PDA ... including a few moments where she laid right on top of him.

Will was out and about in Capri Tuesday with Jada Pinkett Smith, their two kids Jaden and Willow ... as well as his other kid from his first marriage, Trey. They were shopping at Autori Capresi -- a high-end fashion boutique well known to locals.

You can tell how serious everyone's taking their new duds -- not a whole lot of smiles here inside the store ... except for Will, of course, who was smiling from ear to ear.
