Eagles Legend Brian Westbrook No QB Controversy In Philly ... Wentz Is the Future
Nick Foles is killing it right now ... but when Carson Wentz gets healthy, the starting QB job in Philly is HIS ... so says Eagles legend Brian Westbrook.
Westbrook -- who's in the Eagles Hall of Fame -- tells TMZ Sports he's incredibly proud of the job Foles has done filling in for Wentz, but even if he wins the Super Bowl ... he won't get the starting nod next season.
"When Carson Wentz is healthy, Carson Wentz will be the starting QB of the Eagles."
The good news for Foles ... Westbrook says the guy has a real chance to score a massive contract somewhere else, but the future in Philly is definitely Wentz.

Philadelphia Eagles Fan Slamming into Pole, Subway ... ... NEW Hilarious Angle!!!
That Philadelphia Eagles fan who ran smack into a pole and bounced off a subway train is in even more pain than you thought ... as this new angle of his asinine celebration reveals.
Waiting for your permission to load the Facebook Video.
The guy was all pumped up underground Sunday on his way to see his Eagles in the NFC Championship. He and some pals were standing around yelling, "Whooooo," and not really making much of an effort to board a waiting subway train.
Of course, once the train started moving, the guy decided to drunkenly chase it down the platform. The chase was over pretty quickly ... courtesy of a giant pole he never saw for some reason.

Philadelphia Eagles Another Fan Punches Police Horse
For the second time in 2 weeks ... a Philadelphia Eagles fan has been arrested for punching a police horse at the stadium.
This time, the perp is Andrew Tornetta -- who cops say was going H.A.M. during a pre-game tailgate at Lincoln Financial Field before the Eagles took on the Vikings in the NFC Championship.
Cops say mounted Pennsylvania State Police units were breaking up a crazy situation when Tornetta refused to comply with orders to disperse.
Instead, Tornetta punched a police horse twice in the right shoulder and then socked the human officer in the face ... according to cops.
Tornetta allegedly tried to flee -- and removed his sweatshirt to try to evade police -- but was eventually caught and arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related charges.
As we previously reported, another fan was arrested for punching a police horse in the face at Lincoln Financial Field the previous weekend ... when the Eagles defeated the Falcons.

Philadelphia Eagles Post-Beatdown Get Down ... To Chief Keef & Meek Mill
Here's video of the Philadelphia Eagles dancing their damn faces off after destroying the Minnesota Vikings ... and we gotta say, the guys look like they could've gone another two quarters.
Moments after the game was over, WR Alshon Jeffery took his celebration to IG live and got live with his teammates ... while Chief Keef and Meek Mill blasted in the background.
Highlights included Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie getting into the act, but the guy who stole the show was CB Jalen Mills, who broke it down with a Macarena-style turn up we've never seen before.
Good luck in the Super Bowl guys ... you're probably going to need it.

Philadelphia PD Only 6 Arrests Despite Pre-Game, Post-Game Insanity
There was blood before the game ... and fires afterward -- but the Philadelphia PD tells us only 6 PEOPLE were arrested on Sunday in connection to the NFC Championship madness.
One person was arrested for assault on a police officer -- we're told the incident took place in the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field before the game.
2 more people were arrested for disorderly conduct -- and 3 others were busted for counterfeit ticket sales.
All in all ... seems like a win considering the videos and photos that surfaced showing police on horseback taking control during the pregame tailgates.
Afterward, fans went crazy in the streets -- but according to police, it wasn't as bad as social media made it look.
Congrats!

Bill Cosby Fans Out in Philly Goes Public On a Wing And a Prayer
Bill Cosby must really like the Eagles' chances against the Vikings, 'cause he mustered up enough courage to show his face in public rockin' their gear.
The disgraced comedian resurfaced Sunday in Philly wearing an Eagles windbreaker and hat as he stopped off at a coffee shop ahead of the team's NFC Championship game.
We haven't seen much of him since his mistrial last summer, when the jury couldn't reach a verdict on charges of sexual assault. His retrial begins in April.
Prosecutors in the Cosby case asked a judge last week to allow 19 additional women to testify against him, in the hopes of establishing a pattern of sexual assault. The judge, Steven T. O'Neill, has yet to rule on the request.
Looks like Cosby's liking his chances, too, at this point ... we're sensing no shame here.

And he SWEARS he won't be betting on the game ... or at least that's the story he's telling while the camera's rolling.

PETA Rips Horse-Punching Fan ... Ban Him From Eagles Games!!
The drunk Philadelphia Eagles fan who allegedly attacked a police officer AND his horse should be BANNED from owning pets AND attending Eagles games ever again ... this according to a huge animal rights org.
Cops reported the fan, Taylor Hendricks, repeatedly attacked an officer and his horse as he was being escorted out of Saturday's game against the Falcons. Hendricks was arrested for aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police horse, simple assault and defiant trespass.
But Stephanie Bell, senior director for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, tells TMZ Sports Hendricks should get more than that.
"PETA is asking the prosecutor to charge the suspect with cruelty to animals, and if he's convicted, we hope sentencing will include a psychiatric evaluation and a ban on owning or harboring any animals, from horses to dogs and cats."
"Anyone who would violently attack an animal likely has rage issues and could be a danger to the community at large."
And they didn't stop there ... Bell calls for Hendricks to be forever banned from Eagles games to "send a strong message that such abuse will not be tolerated."

He was eventually arrested for aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police horse, simple assault and defiant trespass. He was booked at a nearby station and bailed out the next morning.

Philly Costume Shops Scrambling For Dog Masks ... For NFC Title Game
The hottest item in Philly is a DOG MASK ... with costume shops throughout the city scrambling to stock up so fans can wear K9 heads to the NFC title game this weekend.
TMZ Sports spoke with the 5 top costume shops in the Philly area ... and they've all said their phones are ringing off the hook asking about the masks Chris Long and Lane Johnson wore to celebrate their "underdog" victory over the Falcons.
One shop in particular -- Masquerade -- says they've already gotten 20 calls about the masks before the store even opened this morning (plus 10 fans who came to the store in person), and now they're working to get a shipment before Saturday.
Derek Lee of D&J Costumes and Entertainment says the makers of the exact German Shepherd mask Long and Johnson wore are all sold out ... so the store has ordered masks from other breeds in case fans wanted to branch out.
Some of the stores are worried about the timing -- because if the dog-mask shipments come in after Sunday (and if the Eagles lose) ... they'll be screwed!
As we previously reported, the Eagles are encouraging fans to wear dog masks to the stadium on Sunday -- as long as they remove them when going through stadium security.

Now, the team has sent a message to fans -- "Doggone it, you better believe dog masks will be allowed at @LFFStadium this weekend. Just make sure to take them off when you go through security."

Joel Embiid Shoves Eagles Fan After Tailgate Interception
Everyone in Philly was feeling competitive AF this weekend during the Eagles' playoff game against the Falcons ... including 76ers star Joel Embiid.
Embiid got a little rough with an Eagles fan Saturday during a tailgate at the game, when the guy pushed the NBA star and intercepted an incoming pass to him in the lot.
Safe to say, Embiid wasn't having it ... he shoved the dude right back.
Embiid -- who's 7 feet tall -- doesn't usually back down against fans who challenge him in sports. He definitely didn't hold back while playing one-on-one with folks 2 summers ago.
Looks like that fire's alive and well off the court, too.

Quavo Eagles Are Toast ... Without Carson Wentz
Can the Eagles survive without Carson Wentz??
Quavo doesn't think so -- 'cause when we asked him about their playoff matchup with the Falcons, he told us having Nick Foles sub in for the MVP candidate will crush their chances.
"They lost they main guy," Quavo told TMZ Sports. "Foles ... we ready to take him out."
For his own sake, we hope he's right. Quavo's a huge Georgia sports guy -- and we're not sure if he can handle 2 soul-crushing L's in 1 week.

Eagles' Nigel Bradham Battery Case Closed In The Clear For Allegedly Punching Man
Eagles star Nigel Bradham already picked up a W, and he hasn't even played the Falcons yet ... 'cause the Philly LB is in the clear in his aggravated assault case ... TMZ Sports has learned.
We broke the story ... Bradham was charged in Florida with aggravated battery after allegedly punching a Hilton hotel worker in the face 'cause he took too long to set up a beach umbrella.
The charge was serious -- a felony -- which carried up to 15 years in prison, if convicted.
Bradham caught a break in June ... the prosecution was deferred -- meaning if he kept his nose clean for 6 months, the charge would be dropped.
NB took care of business, according to court docs ... and the case was closed last week.
Bradham and the Eagles take on the ATL Falcons in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs this weekend.

Terrell Owens I Believe In Nick Foles ... Kinda
Eagles fans rejoice!!!! Your favorite ex-Eagle, Terrell Owens, is super stoked about Nick Foles taking over, saying that the Eagles are gonna march to the Super Bowl under the backup signal caller.
Okay, so T.O. didn't really go that far ... but he didn't NOT say that either, telling us that he was kinda sorta into the whole Nick Foles thing when we got him out in L.A.
"He gives them a great chance," later adding, "It'll be a good story."
So, he didn't go full Ron Jaworski -- who said the team should still make the Super Bowl with Foles -- but he didn't shut the whole season down either ... that's gotta make the Iggles faithful happy, right?
Hope.
Ron Jaworski Eagles Are Super Bowl Team ... Even Without Wentz
Don't stick a fork in the Eagles just yet ... Philadelphia still has a REAL shot to make the Super Bowl, even without Carson Wentz ... so says Ron Jaworski.
The Philly legend is still incredibly optimistic -- telling TMZ Sports the Eagles will certainly miss Wentz, but the surrounding cast is so solid, they'll continue to dominate well into the playoffs.
In fact, Jaws even delivered a pep talk to depressed Eagles fans -- "Get off the cliff! Everything is okay! This is still a good football team!"
No pressure, Foles ...
