Trevor Donovan is fed up with “greedy breeders” who are too cheap to test dogs for a disease that leaves the animals’ hind legs paralyzed ... a disease his own German Shepherd is battling.
TMZ caught up with Trevor when the actor was out with his pups, Dogbert and Tito. Dogbert suffers from degenerative myelopathy -- a progressive disease of the spinal cord.
The "90210" alum told us the disease is totally preventable, but he's pissed because too many breeders pass on a simple lab test.
He showed us how it's affecting Dogbert -- he's already dragging his hind legs, but Trevor's hooked him up with special booties.

Kendall Jenner Her Dog Allegedly Bites Little Girl ... Cops Called
8/6 -- A source close to Kendall tells us her dog never made contact with the child -- it was startled by the little girl -- and it never bit her. We're told Kendall didn't leave the deli until she was sure the dog didn't bite the girl as there were no physical injuries.
Kendall Jenner had cops called on her this weekend while out with her boyfriend, Ben Simmons, after her dog allegedly bit a little girl.
Law enforcement sources tell us a call to LAPD came in Sunday morning regarding a dog bite at the Beverly Glen Deli in L.A. that was allegedly inflicted by Kendall's Doberman Pinscher.
We're told a mother and her young daughter were eating on the patio of the restaurant -- where Kendall and Ben were also seated -- when for some reason her harnessed dog nipped the girl. Sources say there were no obvious puncture wounds from the bite, so the deli's staff simply administered ice from inside for her injury.
We're told when the mother came back outside to confront Kendall and Ben, they'd already paid their bill and vanished -- leaving behind no contact info or note.
As a result, sources say 911 was called. The police department referred the case to Animal Control. Paramedics were not required for the girl's injuries, BTW.

World Dog Surfing Championship I'm Hangin' 10 ... And the Surf is Ruff
Derby the dog showed how it's done Saturday at the Dog Surfing Championship at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica, California.
Derby was decked out in shades and a life vest as he shot the curl. The waves were only moderately gnarly, but hey ... they're dogs so it's super impressive.
Check out the photo gallery ... a lab, a golden retriever, a pug, a terrier and garden variety mutts tried their paws at hanging 10.
There were different weight classes -- small, medium, large and very large. And get this ... there was even a tandem dog competition. One clearly rode bitch. And there was a human/dog pairing, too.
It was all for a good cause ... proceeds from the event go to dog-related charities. The sponsors include Banfield Pet Hospital, Camp Bow Wow, WAG Hotels, Pet Food Express, Woodrow Wear and Hanks Dog Stuff.

Who's a good boy?!? Lionel Messi's dog, apparently.
The 31-year-old soccer superstar played a little keep-away from his furry friend in his yard Monday ... and it's all fun and cute -- until you realize the dog could end him at any time.
Hulk (appropriately named) is a Dogue de Bordeaux ... and weighs well over 100 pounds. If you're unfamiliar, Messi is pocket-sized, standing at 5'7" and weighing just 159 lbs.
So, neat tricks, Lionel ... but all of Argentina would probably be happier with a nice game of fetch.
As for Hulk ... belly rubs and treats all around for not killing one of futbol's biggest stars!

Stormy Daniels Sued Screw You and the Lies You Rode in On We Didn't Kill Your Horses
Stormy Daniels is champing at the bit to destroy a family horse business, of course, of course ... according to a new suit.
A married Texas couple who run Pegasus Eventing claim Stormy's been on the warpath to trash their reputation and ruin their careers due to the deaths of a few of her horses ... but they say her accusations are outright slanderous.
According to the docs ... Stormy and her husband, Glendon Crain, were boarding as many as 7 horses with Pegasus, and one of them named Bailey tragically died in a flash flood in 2015. Stormy allegedly kept working with Pegasus after the flood, but removed her horses from their stables about a year later when another horse named Ziggy suffered an injury in a hail storm.
Pegasus claims, after Stormy pulled her horses and started boarding them elsewhere, Ziggy and another one of her horses died in a freak galloping collision ... which Stormy blamed on Ziggy's injury while at Pegasus.
According to the suit ... Stormy then went on a social media smear campaign against the Pegasus owners, accusing the wife of being "autistic and mentally challenged" and calling the husband a drunk. She also allegedly claimed the couple kills horses with no regret, denies them proper vet care and drugs them.
The Pegasus couple, repped by Christine Renne, says these allegations are all lies, and the lies are ruining their business. They're suing Stormy and her husband for up to a million bucks.
Stormy's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, says the lawsuit is "complete nonsense and entirely bogus."

Cruz was exiting the mound after pitching 4.2 innings -- when a little bird flew in his path.

Brett Favre's bringing pups to military veterans in need ... and so far, the results have been incredible -- 'cause the NFL legend tells TMZ Sports it's "saving" vets' lives.
The Hall of Famer created the 4 Outdoors program after retiring from football ... and while the plan is to use outdoor experiences to help people in need -- he's found the most success uniting vets with trained service dogs.
