Sources in the music industry connected with people who have been "on the list" tell us ... some of the singers and groups have floated rumors they might perform to judge the public reaction ... which by and large has scared them into running for the hills instead of towards the Hill.

We're told trial balloons were floated by at least 4 camps ... we're told everyone's so scared of the backlash the camps will never admit they've even entertained the prospect of singing at the inauguration ... they're all so worried it will negatively impact the artists' careers.

It's a sea change from every other inauguration. Up to now it didn't matter if it was a Dem or a Republican ... there were enough big stars willing to perform it wasn't a problem.

Nicki Minaj is coming to the rescue of a Miami nightclub -- saving a New Year's Eve event by replacing Jennifer Lopez and doing it for significantly less dough.

We're told E11even nightclub acted swiftly after J Lo bailed on the gig that would have scored her a million dollar payday. It's unclear how much Nicki's getting, but our sources say the club scored a bargain.

Nicki was pretty hands-on for the event -- she wanted to approve all pics used to promote the event.

E11even's hooking her up with a pink Barbie hat for the gig and MYX fusions moscato to quench her thirst. We're told DJ Irie will be her special guest.

It's interesting ... Meek Mill will also be in the area. As we reported ... he scored a six figure gig at Dream Nightclub.

Meek Mill's about to haul it in for headlining a New Year's Eve party in Miami ... and the amount of 0s on his paycheck is right up there with some of rap's biggest acts.

Sources close to Meek tell us ... he's getting $200k to perform at Dream Nightclub in South Beach, plus $20k to partially cover expenses. Not too shabby for a guy whose career seems to be on a never-ending roller coaster.

We're told Meek will also be lubricated with spirits -- 10 bottles of Ace of Spades, 5 bottles of Moet Nectar Rosé and some Hennessy and tequila to boot.

Varsity Lifestyle Group is throwing the bash, and tickets to ring in the new year with the rapper are $60 for chicks, $109 for dudes, with VIP packages ranging from around $4k to $10k. It's scheduled to rage 'til 5 AM.

Donald Trump's inauguration is going to be "strictly traditional" and the President-elect has no interest in courting big Hollywood stars or entertainers to hobnob or perform at the events ... TMZ has learned.

Sources involved in inaugural prep tell TMZ ... Trump is hardly engaged in the party planning at all. We're told he does feel, however, the parties should not be "over the top," but he's leaving all the details to others.

One Trump insider says the Prez-elect is "obsessed" with energizing American business and industry ... the parties just aren't his thing. We're told he doesn't think it's important to have big names perform and has actually pointed to all the big names supporting Hillary Clinton that ultimately did no good for her.

Beyoncé threw her management company's holiday party, and it looks like staffers got a fresh batch of lemonade while watching their boss do her thing ... live.

Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment hosted the bash Thursday night at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in L.A. -- and the Queen herself performed after a screening of "Lemonade" ... which we're sure everyone there has seen A LOT by now.

Besides bearing witness to Bey live, guests also went home with Formation-themed goody bags full of popcorn and Lemonheads. Plus, they got a glimpse of Destiny's Child ... who reunited OFF stage for the event.

Donald Trump's family will be the main attraction at a fundraiser the day after the inauguration, celebrating hunters, shooters and fishermen who probably pushed Trump over the line in November.

TMZ obtained a draft of the invite for "Opening Day," a massive party that will be thrown at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in D.C.

The attire is "Camouflage & Cufflinks ... Jeans, boots and hats are welcome."

Now, here's what you get ... for a price.

-- BALD EAGLE PACKAGE ... a private reception for 16 guests to rub elbows with Donald J. Trump. The package includes a "multi-day hunting and/or fishing excursion for 4 guests with Donald Trump Jr. and/or Eric Trump." You also get 85 VIP guest tickets to the event. Price: $1 MILLION.

Our sources say it's still not clear if President Trump will attend ... they're all working on the details, and if he's not there it could affect price. That said, the event is legit and the Trump family is behind it.

Our sources say "Opening Day" is being thrown to thank the hunting, shooting and fishing communities for their support. It's something mainstream media didn't cover, but Donald Trump Jr. and others spent a lot of time in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Iowa ... all states with a huge population of hunters, fishermen and gun enthusiasts.

Our Trump sources believe these people came out in force and made the difference in the election.
