Robert De Niro had to get a leg up -- or a shoe up, more like -- standing next to Al Pacino in the new Martin Scorsese movie ... thank God for close-ups.

Bob and Al star in Scorsese's new mobster flick, "The Irishman," in which they filmed a scene this week where they were strolling side by side in the Bronx.

As you can see, De Niro really got into character by wearing high platform shoes -- the guy he's playing stands at 6'4" ... and in real life, the actor's only 5'10".

Hollywood and their tall tales ... gotta love it.

We doubt Omarosa would say she's glad she got fired -- hell, she won't even admit she was -- but she's definitely making the most of her newfound free time.

She was cruising around Topanga Mall, outside L.A., on Sunday with a friend. Looks like they hit up NY & Co. for some holiday deals. Miranda Kerr's pregnant again -- only this time it's with her hubby and Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel ... and her baby bump is looking mighty rich.

Miranda was seen out Sunday in Santa Monica to promote her beauty line, and her pregnant belly was really starting to show. This is Miranda's second kid, but her first with Evan.

The couple -- who together are worth billions of dollars -- tied the knot in May after getting engaged last summer.

One thing we know for sure ... that kid's got A LOT to look forward to.

Matt Lauer is out and about running errands on his second day of unemployment ... and, outwardly at least, didn't seem too despaired over his firing.

Lauer surfaced Thursday for the first time since getting canned from NBC's "Today" show. He was driving around town, near his home in the Hamptons, and made at least one stop to smile and chat with a friend ... before hugging it out.

Worth noting ... Lauer was still wearing his wedding ring. He's been married to Annette Roque since 1998.

2:20 PM PT -- Mark says he was just trying to avoid autograph seekers by rolling out of the airport in a wheelchair because they "gouge true fans later on eBay." He included the hashtags #TheyCanGoForceThemselves and #NoMoreAirportSignings.

Mark Hamill, and his little dog, rolled through JFK airport Monday night in a wheelchair. Mark did his best to cover his face with a dark hat -- not unlike a certain Dark side villain.

Fans greeted Mark while he cradled his little dog, and fired off questions about 'Jedi,' but he seems to know -- talk not he must, with the movie opening less than 3 weeks away.

Unclear if Luke's actually injured, or just trying to keep a low profile. We've gotta call in to a galaxy far, far away.

Matthew McConaughey was barely recognizable Monday on the set of his new flick, "The Beach Bum" ... although the role doesn't look like much of a stretch.

Matt's down in Miami shooting the new flick where he plays Moondog ... a dude who "lives life by his own rules." We smell some serious method acting. Isla Fisher is also in it, but her look's more apocalyptic than beach-y.

Saying McConaughey was born to play this role would be an understatement.

Remember, the man's already got his Oscar ... he can take whatever role he wants.
