'Danny Phantom' David Kaufman Tom Holland's Superheroed Out ... Schnapp/Eilish Power Couple?!?

David Kaufman's not going ghost on the conversation about who should play Danny Phantom in the live-action movie ... telling TMZ he's got some clear casting ideas.
The actor -- who voiced the titular character in all 53 episodes of the television show and reprised his role in subsequent movies and video games ... told us he's all for Tom Holland playing DP though he thinks Spider-Man might be all done with superheroes for a while.
Here's the deal ... Butch Hartman, creator of a whole bunch of well-known animated shows for Nickelodeon in the 2000s, recently spoke at MegaCon in Orlando and said if there ever was a "Danny Phantom" live-action movie, he'd only want Tom Holland in the role.
For those who don't know, "Danny Phantom" followed a teenager named Danny Fenton who gained ghost-like abilities after a portal to another world exploded and turned him into half-human, half-ghost.
A big if of course ... nothing like this has gone into production or even been announced as far as we can tell -- but it's still something Kaufman really put his mind to, and he decided TH is fine by him if he wants to do it.
DK pointed out Tom's headed to the West End for a production of "Romeo & Juliet" ... a fact David thinks is great for him since it's a departure from the superhero roles Holland has nailed to this point in his career.
Quite frankly, it's not difficult to imagine Tom wanting to pursue different kinds of roles moving forward either since the dude's a talent tour de force.
Kaufman wasn't just countering Butch's idea though ... he also came up with a couple casting calls of his own -- "Stranger Things" actor Noah Schnapp as Danny and Billie freakin' Eilish as his friend-turned-love-interest Sam.
David complimented Noah on his comedic timing, saying he thinks that's a huge part of Danny's character -- so any actor playing him needs to know their way around a joke. And, just look up some pics of the characters ... pretty perfect casting, at least appearance-wise.
Billie doesn't have much acting experience, but that's never stopped Hollywood before ... and she's up for her second Best Original Song Oscar, so maybe she'll be inspired to give acting a try.
Someone from Nickelodeon better start making calls ... they wouldn't want an opportunity like this to come back and haunt them!

'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Netflix's Version ... Is Making Sokka Less 'Sexist'?!?
Sokka from Nickelodeon's 'Avatar' show is going to be a lil' different in Netflix's live-action version when it debuts next month ... and that includes a lot less woman-hating, apparently.
Ian Ousely -- the actor who's been tapped to play real Sokka for the streaming giant's take on the beloved animated series -- spilled the beans to EW this week in terms of clarifying how his iteration of one of the main characters will stand apart from what fans remember.
He explained ... "I wanted to make sure that Sokka is funny. There's more weight with realism in every way." His costar Kiawentiio (who plays Sokka's sister, Katara, in Netflix's show) chimed in to clear up which elements of the cartoon didn't work so well in real life.
She interjected with ... "I feel like we also took out the element of how sexist [Sokka] was. I feel like there were a lot of moments in the original show that were iffy."
To that, Ousley agreed in this interview ... going on to say, "Yeah, totally. There are things that were redirected just because it might play a little differently [in live action]." EW also points out what diehards of the animation already know ... namely, that Sokka is, in fact, very sexist as a character toward the start -- but that, eventually, he outgrows that in his arc.
Sokka being humbled by a tribe of badass women was one the best early episodes

Emphasis on that last part, specially. You see... Sokka's sexism is a key character flaw that he has to mature past all throughout the OG series ... something fans are keenly aware of, which is why they're pissed that it's now being revealed Netflix is changing this major detail.
You can hop into the "Sokka" trend right now on X to see how angry/disappointed everyone is that the Sokka they know -- imperfect and in need of humbling, which often made for great/hilarious moments in the original -- is not going to be found in this live remake.
That also kinda deflates the excitement fans had with the fact Netflix's version actually *looked* a lot like the cartoon ... which had many believing it'd be more faithful to the source material. Apparently, not that faithful. Seems Sokka was too problematic for Netflix.
Womp, womp ... 😑

The day after saying her new podcast was going the way of the dinosaur because of a lack of big-name guests, Amanda says she's going to continue the podcast.
Amanda says her friends convinced her to reconsider giving up so soon ... and she says she's excited to record a new episode.
Remember ... Amanda said she was going to kill the podcast after the inaugural episode because A-list musicians like Drake, Jack Harlow and Post Malone weren't lining up to join her as guests on the podcast, as she hoped.
Now, Amanda says she realizes podcasts need time to grow a following ... and those big-name guests she has on her radar might join down the road.
Of course, no matter who the guests are they won't be talking about her mental health struggles or her Hollywood career.
Still, Amanda says she has some guests lined up ... and her "Amanda Bynes and Paul Sieminski: Podcast" is doing well on Spotify early on.
Bottom line for Amanda here ... if you build it, they will come.

Amanda Bynes has a new podcast, but she'll be steering clear of the mental health struggles that have overtaken her life.
Amanda tells TMZ ... she won't be talking about anything regarding her former career or personal life on "Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast" -- which includes her time in inpatient treatment and mental health centers.
She tells us the pod is focused on the guests that join her and Paul ... saying it's their careers, personal lives, and fun stories they find more interesting.
As we reported, Amanda and Paul debuted their new podcast this week, with the first episode featuring an L.A.-based tattoo artist that the former child star has known for years.
It's a big deal for AB -- as well as her fans -- marking the first time she's come back into the spotlight after dipping out of Hollywood and moving on to other ventures, like fashion.
Amanda was placed on a 5150 psych hold earlier this year after calling the cops on herself, claiming she felt she could harm herself ... and while she seems to be doing better today, it sounds like those touchy subjects will be staying off-mic.

Amanda Bynes I Had Plastic Surgery On My Eyelids
Amanda Bynes is opening up about her new look ... telling fans it's the result of plastic surgery on her face.
The former Nickelodeon star hopped on Instagram to explain why she's looking a little different these days ... explaining why she had plastic surgery on her eyelids.

Amanda Bynes Launches New Podcast ... 1st Episode w/ Tattoo Artist
Amanda Bynes is back in the spotlight after years of being away -- 'cause she's got a new podcast out ... and the first episode features her playing the role of host/interviewer.
The ex-child star -- who was placed in a conservatorship for years before it came to an end in 2022 -- is leading up the new media venture alongside a friend of hers named Paul Sieminski. Their pod is aptly titled ... 'Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast.'
Here's just a snippet of their first episode, which was just released Saturday. It features a sit-down with a L.A.-based tattoo artist named Dahlia Moth ... whom AB has known for years.
Now, this episode is roughly 26 minutes ... so go listen to the full thing if you want. Right from the outset though, you can hear Amanda introducing herself and her co-host ... as well as their guest, and she jumps right into the questions they wanna ask, somewhat abruptly.
As we went through the rest of it ourselves, we couldn't help but notice that Paul tends to do most of the heavy lifting in terms of questions -- with Amanda jumping in here and there.
It's interesting to digest ... frankly, this might be one of the first times folks are hearing Amanda's voice in a while, y'know ... since she's been out of the public eye for a minute. Since leaving Hollywood, she's focused her attention elsewhere ... including fashion school.
Of course, she's also had struggles -- including recent ones (post-conservatorship) that have seen her been hospitalized for a time. She's out now though, and seems to be doing better.
Anyway, Amanda has been plugging this podcast on her personal IG feed lately ... so she certainly seems excited about it. She says she wants to start small with pals, but eventually invite on bigger names -- including celebrities. Time will tell who she's able to book.
