Scientists are celebrating a remarkable discovery -- the Attenborough Echidna can't be extinct, as they thought it was, because it was caught on freakin' camera!!!

Check out the extremely rare find, captured on a remote camera placed by Oxford University researchers on an expedition to Indonesia. The footage shows the long-beaked creature just strolling in the woods.

Dr. James Kempton told BBC News he and his whole team got the impressive footage on "the very last SD card that we looked at, from the very last camera that we collected, on the very last day of our expedition." Point being ... the critter made one hell of an entrance.

He says his whole team was "euphoric" when they found the old timer, and rightfully so ... the Echidna -- scientific name Zaglossus attenboroughi, named after famed biologist Sir David Attenborough -- was thought to have evolved in the time of dinosaurs, about 200 million years ago.

It isn't clear exactly when the spiky mammal went extinct -- or so scientists thought -- but the only evidence of the creature was collected in 1961.

A Jewish man was killed at a pro-Palestinian rally in California ... and police are now investigating his death as a possible hate crime.

69-year-old Paul Kessler was attending the Sunday afternoon event in Thousand Oaks, CA, where there was also a competing pro-Israel rally. Kessler was demonstrating in support of Israel.

As you know, Israelis and Palestinians -- under the rule of Hamas -- are embroiled in a bloody war in the Middle East. Hamas attacked the Jewish state in October, sparking the conflict.

Law enforcement tells us ... At the gathering in Ventura County, Kessler got into a heated argument with the Palestinian counter-protesters, leading to a physical fight.

Cops say Kessler was knocked backwards, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.

Video of the incident later surfaced on X. Take a look ... Kessler is sprawled out on the sidewalk after the altercation. He appears to be in agony as two people tend to him.

Kessler was rushed to a local hospital, where he died from his head injuries. The L.A. County Coroner determined his death was a homicide.

Barbara Walters spent a good amount of her life in one of the nicest pads in New York City -- one that went on the market earlier this year ... and which may have a new owner.

You'll recall ... the late news icon's fam put her Manhattan condo up for sale back in April -- this just a few months after she passed away in December 2022 -- and the 5-bed, 6-bath home was listed at the time for $19.75 million, which was well worth it. The place is nice!

Since then, however, it looks like the real estate agents who were working on it ended up dropping the price tag a tad -- and as of right now, it was going for around $17.7 mil.

Somebody has made an offer on the home, and we've confirmed it's under contract -- which means the sale is pending, and should go through ... assuming all goes according to plan. What we don't know is if the would-be buyer ponied up $17.7 million, more ... or less.

If escrow does close, we'll find out in due time through property records -- but if the mystery shopper spent anywhere near what it was priced at ... they got a good deal.

Barack Obama spoke out about the conflict between Israel and Palestine -- and he says two things must be acknowledged as true ... on both sides of this thorny issue.

The former President was recently speaking at an event, and his remarks were captured by Pod Save America -- which says his full interview is coming out Tuesday. But from the snippet they released, BO says quite a bit ... and fully admits, this is complicated.

Take a look for yourself to see what exactly he says ... essentially, he condemns Hamas and the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel -- but in the same breath, condemns Israel's response.

He says there are innocent people in Gaza who've been wrapped up in this that have nothing to do with Hamas ... and yet, also notes the history of Jews being segregated/persecuted over their identity as a people. In other words, there's validity in each POV here.

In terms of folks debating this problem, Obama says it can't be hashed out on social media -- and it can't be solved unless everybody tells the "whole truth" about a complex topic.

He also says people have to learn to speak to others on the opposite end and be able to do so civilly ... and encourages everyone to see that there's complicity on all fronts of this. It's a word salad, but if you're wondering what he's actually arguing for now ... you're outta luck.

Barack doesn't really say what he thinks should happen going forward, nor does he specify what exactly he's calling for at this point ... at least not in what's uploaded at the moment. Perhaps we'll hear more from him in the coming days.

Ting Ye, de 26 años, fue acusada de homicidio vehicular cuando un juez del condado de King emitió una orden de arresto contra ella tras el accidente del 30 de septiembre en Bellevue, Washington.

A woman driving a Porsche at more than 100 miles per hour on a Washington state highway lost control and went airborne, crashing and killing her passenger -- and it was all caught on video.

26-year-old Ting Ye was charged with vehicular homicide as a King County judge issued an arrest warrant for her following the deadly September 30th incident in Bellevue, WA.

Traffic camera footage captured Ye whizzing down the freeway in the sports car with her passenger, Yabao Liu, in the early morning hours.

Suddenly, the vehicle spins around and travels sideways, slamming into a metal barrier and launching off the roadway while flipping over wildly.

The 27-year-old Liu died, whereas Ye was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released. The pair came to Bellevue for work, although their exact relationship was unclear.

According to court docs, Ye was uncooperative with police and slipped out of the medical center, hightailing it to Canada before fleeing to China.

Prosecutors then filed the criminal charge against Ye, while the judge signed off on her arrest warrant. Now, they're working with federal authorities in D.C. to bring her back to Bellevue to face justice.

One major obstacle is China, which does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S., preventing the foreign government from turning her over.

Cornell University has pulled the plug on its classes this Friday -- essentially saying everyone's stressed out -- after a student was arrested for threatening to kill Jewish students on campus.

The school will observe community day Friday "in recognition of the extraordinary stress of the past few weeks" -- this after Cornell junior, 21-year-old Patrick Dai was charged with threatening to kill Jews.

New York prosecutors say Dai threatened to harm and/or kill Cornell's Jewish students ... boasting online he'd "shoot up" Cornell's 104 West dining hall, which is predominantly kosher ... adding he planned to bring an assault rifle to campus.

The FBI quickly jumped on the case and found antisemitic messages on an online discussion forum, which were written under a username that referenced Hamas.

While the account didn't have Dai's name attached to it, federal investigators were able to pin him as the suspect by tracking the account's IP address.

Dai was interviewed by the FBI Tuesday ... and allegedly admitted to having posted the comments. He appeared in federal court Wednesday but didn't enter a plea.

The "Only Murders in the Building" star also came under fire for a stark difference between her stance on the Israel-Hamas attacks and her views about Russia's attacks on Ukraine, which she spoke out about last year -- in which she said she was donating to the cause.

As we reported, other celebs have gotten called out for their comments about the ongoing conflict -- including former adult film star Mia Khalifa, who lost her gig with Playboy after defending Hamas terrorists.

The entire Hadid family was also getting hundreds of death threats, with Bella's phone number getting leaked ... remember, her sister, Gigi, was met with hate after voicing her pro-Palestinian opinions about the war.

Shani Louk, the Israeli festivalgoer who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists, has died ... this according to Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The MFA said Monday it's "devastated" to have confirmed the death of the 23-year-old German-Israeli -- adding, "Our hearts are broken 💔. May her memory be a blessing."

In a disturbing detail, Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, reportedly told a German newspaper Shani was beheaded.

As we reported, Shani was attending the Supernova festival on October 7 near the Gaza Strip -- the same day Hamas began attacking, opening fire on those in the crowd with guns and rockets and kidnapping dozens of the concertgoers.

Video from just before the attacks showed her dancing and having fun on the festival grounds ... but what came after was nothing short of horror -- being stripped naked and paraded in the back of a pickup truck while Hamas terrorists spat on her.

Shani's mother, Ricarda, was pleading for anyone with info about her daughter to come forward, and later said she'd gotten word from an unnamed Palestinian that she was alive, and allegedly getting treated at a Gaza hospital.

It's unclear if her death happened before or after that report of her alleged treatment while the hands of Hamas.

Shani's boyfriend, Orión Hernández Radoux, was also with her at the festival ... and chilling texts written in Arabic like, "Liberate Palestine," "God damn you," and "I spit on you," were sent to contacts in his phone after the attack.

Shani was just 23.

Como informamos, Shani asistía al festival Supernova el siete de octubre cerca de la Franja de Gaza, el mismo día en que Hamás comenzó a atacar, abriendo fuego contra los asistentes con armas de fuego y cohetes y secuestrando a decenas de los asistentes al concierto.

El video de justo antes de los ataques la mostraba bailando y divirtiéndose en el recinto del festival, pero lo que vino después fue nada menos que el horror... ser desnudada y paseada en la parte trasera de una camioneta mientras los terroristas de Hamás escupían sobre ella.

La madre de Shani, Ricarda, estaba suplicando a cualquier persona con información sobre su hija y más tarde dijo que había recibido noticias de un palestino no identificado de que estaba viva y supuestamente recibiendo tratamiento en un hospital de Gaza.

No está claro si su muerte se produjo antes o después del informe de su presunto tratamiento, mientras que las manos de Hamás.

Esta peculiar escena se desarrolló el domingo en la ciudad de Makhachkala, que es la capital de una región predominantemente musulmana en Rusia conocida como la región de Daguestán y donde una multitud irrumpió en el aeropuerto de Makhachkala Uytash y bombardeó la pista.

La razón por la que sabemos que son antisemitas, en lugar de ser simplemente anti-Israel, es que varios de los miembros de la multitud llevaban carteles que explícitamente llamaban a los judíos de una manera odiosa.

A mob of angry, antisemitic protestors stormed a Russian airport tarmac to decry a flight touching down from Israel -- and the whole thing proved to be incredibly dangerous.

This wild scene unfolded Sunday in the city of Makhachkala -- which is the capital of a predominantly Muslim region in Russia known as the Dagestan region ... and where a massive crowd literally broke into Makhachkala Uytash Airport and bombarded the runway.

The reason we know they're antisemitic as opposed to just being anti-Israel -- several of the mob members were carrying signs that explicitly called out Jews ... in a hateful way.

One sign reportedly read, "We are against Jewish refugees" and another "There is no place for child killers in Dagestan." These folks weren't just there to peacefully demonstrate either -- apparently, they surrounded the plane once it landed ... and were itching for violence.

The situation was so volatile, that the pilot and crew refused to let anyone off ... basically waiting for airport security and local police to deal with them, which they eventually did. There were clashes with authorities and the protesters ... and left at least 10 people injured.

Unclear how many arrests came from this ... but the airport was finally able to resume operations on Monday. In the meantime, other flights had to be diverted -- the airport was inaccessible. The Kremlin says Putin was being briefed on the matter as it was happening.

Russian state media chalked it up to people who "gathered to oppose the Palestinian-Israel conflict" -- but this clearly was far beyond that and descended into something very ugly.

Y añade: "La denegación de ayuda, combustible y agua está castigando colectivamente a un pueblo. La humanidad exige un alto el fuego inmediato. Las vidas de palestinos e israelíes, y las de todos los pueblos del mundo, importan por igual. Todo lo que pueda evitar víctimas civiles y salvar vidas debe hacerse".

Angelina continúa diciendo que ha donado a los esfuerzos de ayuda médica para Gaza, y destacó a Médicos Sin Fronteras como una org que está apoyando y siguiendo en este momento.

En cuanto a la actuación de Israel en este momento, parece que avanza a toda máquina. Su operación terrestre en Gaza se está intensificando y PM Benjamin Netanyahu ha dicho que esto ahora marca la "segunda etapa" de lo que él dice que va a ser una guerra larga y difícil.

Gaza está en un apagón en este momento, sin líneas de comunicación con el mundo exterior, algo que Elon Musk dice que va a ayudar a solucionar con el acceso a Internet, aunque solo a los grupos humanitarios reconocidos internacionalmente en la zona, algo a lo que Israel se opone firmemente.

Los EE.UU. sin duda se siente dividido en este conflicto y ha habido feroces protestas y manifestaciones en ambos lados, con un notable sentimiento pro-Palestina en las calles.
