The woman in this photo is the only person in the world who might give an honest assessment of what went down in the private, 2-hour meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Her name is Marina Gross. She works for the State Department as an interpreter. Gross has worked for the State Dept. for years. We know back in 2008 she accompanied then First Lady Laura Bush to Sochi.

Gross also served as a translator for then Secretary of State Rex Tillerson back in April 2017 in Moscow.

There have been calls to subpoena Gross before Congress to testify about what went down in the meeting between the 2 leaders. If a subpoena is issued, it would almost certainly meet with resistance from the White House.

Vladimir Putin was asked straight-up why so many of his political rivals end up dead ... and his response shows he has plenty of knowledge about what's going on in America. Maybe too much.

The Putin grilling came NOT courtesy of President Trump -- as some hoped it would -- but instead from FOX News correspondent Chris Wallace. The Russian President's answer covered a lot of ground ... including calling out the U.S. for the assassinations of JFK and MLK.

Most interestingly ... he pointed out the battles of "several ethnic groups" in the U.S. with police -- making it clear he's plugged into societal issues here.

Christian Slater's throwing a jab at President Trump for the summit with Vladimir Putin, but not for his words ... this one's all about spending $300k on the summit.

D.L. Hughley's joining the ranks of some other celebs and athletes to say good riddance to John Schnatter, and says he isn't surprised 'Papa John' used a racial slur ... because he's a "horrible dude."

We got the comedian at LAX Saturday and asked if he was done with Papa John's pizza ... he tells us he has been for a while now, for the same reason ex-NFL star Thomas Jones told us -- it's s***ty.

D.L. has some other reasons, too -- saying Schnatter's completely disrespectful -- and jokes that maybe he took the same Ambien as Roseanne Barr.

Hughly also suggests the Papa John's founder is simply racist, and says if he wants to use the n-word like Colonel Sanders did he can ... but nowadays -- it'll cost ya big time.

As we reported ... Schnatter resigned from the University if Louisville's Board of Trustees and stepped down as chairman of Papa John's International this week after huge backlash over his comments made on a company conference call in May.

Surveillance video shows George Clooney on his scooter smashing head-on into a sedan, and how terrifyingly high he was launched into the air.

TMZ broke the story ... George was doing 60 mph when the Mercedes-Benz cut him off, but this video -- recorded by a nearby surveillance cam -- shows the Oscar winner was thrown nearly 20 feet straight up above the Benz.

You can see Clooney come smashing back down to the ground after the collision. He landed just inches from the front of a truck waiting at the intersection. The video shows something else that's new -- a second scooter. Someone riding next to George narrowly dodged the car, just milliseconds before he wrecked.

As we reported, George was briefly hospitalized for bruising on his arm, leg and pelvis.

Dan Rather says he can handle a little Hollywood interference to make a Thailand cave rescue movie, because the story is just that great.

We got the CBS News legend Tuesday in NYC hours after it was announced that all 12 boys from a youth soccer team and their coach were successfully saved from a flooded cave after being trapped for more than 2 weeks. Dan had 1 word for it this AM ... any guesses?

Our camera guy also asks what he makes of Hollywood types rushing to crank out a movie about the rescue, which Dan acknowledges is definitely going on and seems to frown upon.

THEY'RE ALL OUT!!!

The Thai Navy SEALs have safely rescued all 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flooded cave in Northern Thailand where they've been trapped since June 23.

Thai officials made the announcement Tuesday -- confirming the final group of 4 boys and the coach were freed on day 3 of the rescue mission.

However, officials say at least 3 Navy SEAL divers and a doctor are still inside the cave. Officials are asking people to "send your support to them."

All of the boys who have been rescued -- members of a youth soccer team age 11 to 16 -- will be hospitalized for at least a week, according to officials ... but, right now, they're in good spirits.

A few of the boys have already been reunited with their families -- and friends of the players are excited to shower the kids in gifts and food.

Two of the boys are being treated for potential lung infections -- but they're expected to make a full recovery.

One Navy SEAL -- Sgt. Major Saman Gunan -- died during the rescue operation last week while trying to forge the escape path for the boys.

Kim Kardashian West met one-on-one with several prisoners to discuss what it's like being locked up ... and their concerns about going back into the real world.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ ... Kim arrived at the California Institution for Women in Corona Friday afternoon with a few bodyguards and first toured the grounds and living quarters.

Then, she met with 15 women to get a picture of what their day-to-day lives are like behind bars, how they feel about it ... and what their hopes, plans and anxieties are once they are released.

We're told Kim was there for several hours, and her trip is part of her mission to create a program for women to help them adjust to real life once they get out of prison.

6:15 PM PT -- The shooting suspect has been ID'd as Jarrod Warren Ramos, according to CNN. He reportedly filed a defamation claim against the paper in 2012, which was dismissed in 2013 and upheld after an appeal in 2015.

2:49 PM PT -- The suspect is a white male in his 20s with no ID who was taken into custody without the exchange of gunfire. He has damaged his fingertips, so law enforcement cannot ID him from fingerprints.

Smoke bombs and flash bangs were found in his backpack.

1:48 PM PT -- MD officials just announced that there have been 5 fatalities, with several others "gravely" injured.

They also stated that within 60-90 seconds of the gunman opening fire, authorities were on the scene. At this time, they believe the suspect in custody acted alone, and the building is now secure.

Gunfire erupted in a Maryland newspaper's office Thursday, and the gunman reportedly took down multiple employees before cops captured him.

The mass shooting happened in the Capital Gazette's newsroom in Annapolis. The suspect reportedly shot through a glass door at the beginning of the attack ... and continued firing around the office.

Cops raced to the scene, and Anne Arundel County Sheriff says one of his deputies successfully captured the suspect alive. He's reportedly a white man in his 20s. Authorities say he used a shotgun.

In a scene we've seen far too often, employees were seen exiting the building with their hands in the air ... as cops tried to get people out of harm's way.

Some early reports say as many as 4 people were killed and 5 injured in the attack.

A confirmed reporter inside the building at the time of the shooting tweeted from the scene.

Texas is drawing a slew of stars to a tiny town called Tornillo, but they're not there to shoot a movie ... they're rallying to keep immigrant families together at the border.

Amber Heard, Mira Sorvino, Lena Dunham, Sia, Joshua Jackson, Cara Santana, Katie Lowes, Anna Camp, Skylar Astin and others headed to the El Paso/Juarez border Sunday to protest families being detained and separated.

Many brought signs demanding children be reunited with their parents, and some celebs even stood on a mini-wall together to make their point.

She says, "Even though everyone knows I vehemently disagree with everything he says he stands for" ... she claims she'd walk up to Kaep, shake his hand, and the 2 would have a good convo.

Tomi says it's all about respect, and the "weak" left has none of it ... a stance she echoed earlier on Twitter.

5:00 PM PT -- We're told the Alex Theatre and area surrounding it has been cleared and no explosives or weapons were found. The 8 PM show will go on as planned.

A summer concert with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles -- featuring Emmy Award-winning actor Leslie Jordan -- was cut super short after a bomb threat ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... an evacuation was ordered at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA right after the show's opening number, because a bomb threat was called into the box office. Jordan -- known for playing Beverly Leslie on "Will & Grace" -- was on stage at the time and got escorted off immediately.

We're told cops have the entire block taped off and bomb-sniffing K9s have shown up to search for any weapons or explosives.

Bryan Cranston's got a theory on why members of President Trump's administration keep getting driven out of restaurants ... but he's only kidding.

We got the "Breaking Bad" legend at LAX Saturday and told him about Sarah Huckabee Sanders getting kicked out of a restaurant on moral grounds, and after a quick dad joke ... he told us how he really feels.

Cranston says he hopes we can start coming together in this country to find middle ground, because as it stands now ... there's too much hate to get anything constructive done.

8:45 AM PT -- Sanders just said, "Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so"

A restaurant owner in Lexington, Virginia kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her party out of his restaurant ... on moral grounds.

The waiter at The Red Hen said, "I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her out along with 7 of her other family members."

Others say the owner didn't want Huckabee Sanders in the restaurant out of "moral conviction."

This is the second time this week someone from the Trump Administration was drummed out of a restaurant. Earlier this week, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was booted from a Mexican restaurant near The White House.

Steve-O's got a real disdain for Corey Lewandowski but he's all for giving the guy a platform ... cause the guy keeps digging himself into a hole defending his "Womp, womp" comment.

We got Steve-O out in Hollywood on Friday and wanted to get his take on the political pundit's quip after Zac Petkanas shed light about a disabled immigrant child being separated from her mother.

The snarky comment hit too close to home for Steve-O, who is horrified at the idea children -- let alone disabled children -- are being ripped apart from their parents who are crossing the southern border.
