CHAOS AND DESTRUCTION

Central Mexico is trembling after a devastating 7.1 earthquake that's leveled dozens of buildings to nothing but rubble.

The powerful quake struck Tuesday afternoon in the central Mexican state of Puebla, but it was felt nearly 100 miles away in Mexico City. There are reports of at least 104 deaths, and there's also extensive property damage -- some buildings exploded and others totally collapsed moments after the shaking.

The quake comes on the anniversary of the tragic 8.0 earthquake that killed nearly 10,000 people in 1985. The country was still reeling from an 8.1 earlier this month that killed 61 people.

'The Mad Pooper' On the Run in Colorado ... Leaves Gross Trail

Holy crap this is disgusting -- a jogger is defecating all over a Colorado neighborhood, and yeah ... residents have had it up to here with her s**t.

The prime suspect, we'll call her suspect #2, has allegedly been pooping all over Colorado Springs, but has taken a liking to one Cathy Budde's yard in particular. She says her kids caught the runner mid-squat and yelled ... "There's a lady taking a poop!"

Cathy says she confronted the woman, who said sorry before running away. But she tells KKTV, the runner with the runs came back several more times.

Cathy spotted her each time, and thinks she's doing it on purpose -- she comes equipped with napkins. She snapped a shot of suspect #2 ... and now police are on the lookout.

Watch your step, Colorado Springs!

Earthquake!!! Celebs React to Big(ish) Shake

Hollywood was rocked by a relatively minor earthquake Monday night -- but it was still enough to get several celebs shaking in their boots ... hysterically.

The 3.6 quake hit shortly after 11 PM, and rather than running for cover ... most celebs seemed to grab their phones and post reactions -- the funniest of which came from Kim Kardashian, her panicked friends and Chrissy Teigen.

Ed Sheeran Yeah, I'm Not Playing St. Louis Either ... Cancels Show Amid Protests

Ed Sheeran is following suit with U2 ... he just cancelled his show this weekend in St. Louis amid rising protests throughout the city.

The promotion company for Ed's tour put out a statement, saying his Sunday night concert at the Scottrade Center was nixed. They cited the same reason that U2 gave ... local law enforcement couldn't fully commit to providing a sufficient amount of police and other city services to protect concert goers.

The company went on to say they plan on having Ed return to St. Louis at a later date in 2018, as his schedule allows.

Ed's the 2nd major music act to cancel a show in St. Louis after violence has erupted from protests. The protests stem from the acquittal of a former police officer who was charged with first degree murder of a black motorist following a high speed chase in 2011. Cops and protesters have flooded the streets as a result.

As with U2 ... Ed's fans will receive a refund for their tickets.

Nick Cannon Joins St. Louis Protesters ... Wearing Kaepernick Jersey

Nick Cannon is on the front lines of protests in St. Louis ... and he's doing it in a Colin Kaepernick jersey.

Nick was spotted taking to the streets Saturday with hundreds of others to protest the acquittal a white police officer who was charged with first degree murder of a black motorist, Anthony Lamar Smith, following a high speed chase in 2011. He was rockin' his usual headgear ... and a black Kaep jersey.

The comedian isn't one to shy away from these sorts of demonstrations ... he's been seen at many BLM events, and was even hittin' the streets last year in Cleveland. It's also no surprise he's sporting Kaep here ... the QB has become the poster child of social justice as of late.

As we reported ... Ed Sheeran and U2 had to cancel their weekend concerts in St. Louis due to safety concerns stemming from the protests.

Clearly, those safety concerns don't concern Nick.

Cincinnati Zoo Welcomes First Gorilla Since Harambe

The Cincinnati Zoo opened its doors to another gorilla for the first time since Harambe was tragically killed.

The zoo welcomed Mshindi ... a 29-year-old silverback that previously called the Louisville Zoo its home. It's the first time Cincinnati's Gorilla World habitat welcomed a gorilla since Harambe was shot and killed in May 2016 after a 4-year-old boy fell into the gorilla's enclosure.

Zoo officials said they had no regrets taking down the gorilla that sparked a firestorm of controversy.

Mshindi will reportedly join two female gorillas -- 21-year-old Chewie and 22-year-old Mara.

Donald Trump I Was Right About Charlottesville!!! 'Bad Dudes' On Both Sides

Donald Trump is back to blaming "both sides" for the violence in Charlottesville ... and gloating that he was right to say it in the first place.

Trump was on Air Force One Thursday when he said he'd told South Carolina's Republican Senator Tim Scott -- the day before -- that there were "bad dudes" on the other side of white supremacist protests.

The Prez doubled down, saying Antifa's actions since then prove he was right all along -- "I said you got some really bad people on the other side also, which is true."

Why he decided to bring up the subject again -- after backpedaling from the divisive remarks -- is anyone's guess.

Prince George Woman Arrested at His School

Prince George was in class at his brand new primary school when police say a woman in her 40s attempted to break into the building.

The woman was arrested Tuesday on the grounds of Thomas's Battersea, which the 4-year-old Prince just started attending last week. Cops say George was in class at the time, along with 560 other students aged 4 to 13.

According to reports ... the suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary. Cops say they're reviewing security arrangements at the school on the heels of the incident.

As we reported, Prince William and the school's headmistress walked George into his first day of classes.

Ex-NFL Stars to Andre Johnson: Help Us with Miami Recovery Effort!

READY TO REBUILD
TMZSports.com

Two former NFL stars are hoping their former teammate, Andre Johnson, can help spearhead a J.J. Watt-style recovery effort in Miami.

Bryant McKinnie and Phillip Buchanon both joined the "TMZ Sports" TV show this week -- after leaving Miami right before Hurricane Irma struck.

The guys said the city is in desperate need of help and they're hoping to launch a fundraising initiative like Watt.

Both Bryant and Philip went to the University of Miami, where AJ went to school -- and since Andre knows J.J. Watt (from the Houston Texans), they're hoping he can be the piece that brings everyone together.

FYI, Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross just donated $1 MILLION to the AARP Foundation Hurricane Irma Relief Fund.

O.J. Simpson to Media Catch Me if You Can

O.J. Simpson will be playing a cat-and-mouse game with the media when he's released, and it involves his safety.

We've learned the media has a 1 in 18 chance of spotting the famous convict when he's released from Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada. That's because there are 18 release points and our prison sources say they are keeping the actual release site and date on the DL.

As for why the clandestine release ... we're told it's because prison officials are concerned for Simpson's safety. You'll recall, just after Simpson was granted parole, he was moved to a protective wing of the prison.

Prison sources tell us they're not just concerned about Simpson's safety. They worry a chase could ensue and prison staff, bystanders and Simpson himself could be injured or even worse. As one prison official told us, "We don't want another chase on our hands."

And, we're told, Simpson himself has made it clear to prison officials, he wants nothing to do with the media when the prison doors open. We're guessing it's part of a bigger plan for him to cash in with a splashy interview. The more he's seen, the more the value goes down.

Our prison sources wanted to make it clear ... the secrecy and conditions of Simpson's release will be made by the prison ... not O.J.

Scooter Braun isn't apologizing for what some considered overly political remarks during his and Bun B's nationally televised telethon event for hurricane relief.

We got the music manager -- and potential California gubernatorial candidate -- leaving Craig's Wednesday night following his "Hand in Hand" charity event, and he seemed pleased by the $44-plus million raised for victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

We asked if it was the right setting for Stevie Wonder, Beyonce to get political by bringing up global warming, racism and division in the country.

Scooter -- who organized the event with Bun B -- and his crew certainly didn't pull any punches on TV ... and he doesn't pull any here either.

Hemingway Home Cats Won't Starve Post-Hurricane Irma On 4-Week Supply Of Chow!

The Hemingway Home cats are making it out better than some humans post-Hurricane Irma because there's enough food to feed all 55 of them for the next 4 weeks.

We spoke with a Hemingway Home employee who told us the place picked up 300 lbs of cat food before Irma hit. Normally the kitties go through about 80 lbs a week, so there's plenty of grub to get them through the next month.

Key West, where the famed home sits, suffered less damage than some of the other Keys and Caribbean islands, but there's still no electricity, cell service or Internet. They finally got access to running water on Tuesday, but only for 2 hours and it had to be boiled.

We're told several employees who evacuated plan to pick up more food for the cats on their way back, so the house stays fully supplied. As for the human caretakers, they're stocked on food too so no one's going hungry.

Stevie Wonder didn't pull any punches in the opening of tonight's hurricane relief telethon, blasting global warming deniers right off the bat .... including the Prez.

Stevie kicked off the special with a touching speech about loving the planet and coming together for those devastated by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma ... and calling out those who think there's no such thing as global warming.

Then it was time for a beautiful rendition of "Lean on Me."

There's a bank of celebs manning the phone.

Hurricane Relief Telethon Celebs Bring In Millions

Sept. 13 5:52 AM PT -- The "Hand in Hand" telethon reportedly raised over $44 million in relief funds for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in one night of fundraising.

The telethon to benefit victims of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey just wrapped with fundraising efforts totaling over $14 million and counting in just an hour.

As we reported ... celebs like Al Pacino, Justin Timberlake, Jon Stewart, Chris Paul, Demi Lovato, Diddy, Leo DiCaprio, Justin Bieber, Sofia Vergara, Reese Witherspoon, Drake and many more pitched in for the one-hour long show.

Several of them answered phones to take donations, and others performed as the telethon -- the brain child of Scooter Braun and Bun B -- went live from L.A., NYC, Nashville and San Antonio. And with Michael Dell and Verizon footing the bill for production ... 100% of proceeds will benefit hurricane victims.

Obviously, a great cause ... and a great event too.

Randy Travis Sues Texas Over DWI Naked Arrest Video

Randy Travis is one determined country singer ... he's filed yet another lawsuit, gunning for the Texas officials who want to release a video of his DWI arrest.

Travis was arrested in 2012 for a DWI in Texas ... he had crashed his Trans Am and tried to walk naked into a convenience store after the crash.

Randy cursed the arresting officers, wishing they got cancer. He also threatened to shoot one with 60 rounds and bury him under a barn.

There has been a dogfight over whether the video showing the arrest scene should be released to the media. Several Texas courts have ruled portions of the video are fair game, but the judges did say shots of below the waist should not be released.

Randy is now going over the heads of Texas judges. He's filed a federal lawsuit this time around, arguing he has privacy rights ... namely, because he was exhausted, intoxicated and medicated, and this is tantamount to releasing private medical records.

Randy is asking the federal judge to block the state of Texas from releasing the video.

Mel B Cops Say Texts to Siya Not Witness Intimidation

Mel B did not commit the crime of witness intimidation by sending text messages to a witness in her divorce case ... this according to several cops who reviewed the texts.

TMZ broke the story ... the LAPD opened a witness tampering investigation listing Mel B as the suspect, after rapper Siya went to the station and filed a police report. As we reported, Siya is on the witness list and is prepared to testify Mel B's claims of physical abuse at the hands of estranged husband Stephen Belafonte are untrue. Siya will also testify about Mel B's alleged drug use and how she engineered the now-infamous 3-ways.

Our law enforcement sources say Siya went to the police station Sunday to file a police report, but the desk officer who reviewed the texts was unimpressed and said the messages did not rise to the level of witness intimidation. We're told Siya left, returned the next day with her lawyer, and this time a report was taken.

We're told the LAPD has a policy of taking a report if the alleged victim insists, even if cops believe no crime was committed. We're told the case will ultimately be sent to prosecutors for review and a decision.
