Whole Foods Sued: Your Chicken Clucked Up My Teeth

Whole Foods says eat real food ... but one man's now ruffling feathers with a lawsuit, claiming the grocery store sold him chicken with rocks.

Dr. Albert Liu is suing Whole Foods, saying he ordered ready-to-eat Organic Naked Rotisserie Chicken in Vegas but it had 2 rocks inside the chicken's gizzard, or stomach.

In docs obtained by TMZ, Liu says he broke 2 teeth after biting into the rocks. Liu says he complained to Whole Foods and the manager apologized and told him to file a report. Liu says he did, and a different manager the next day said WF shouldn't have sold him the bird.

It's interesting ... it seems chickens do eat rocks, but they "chew" the food in their gizzard 'cause, ya know, they have no teeth.

We reached out to Whole Foods, so far no word back, but check this out. The law in most states says ... if a grocery store or restaurant sells food and something "indigenous" to the item causes injury, tough luck for the consumer. So, if you buy lobster and break your tooth on the shell, you're outta luck.

If you bite down on a foreign object -- say a nail in a steak -- then you have a case.

With the chicken, it turns out they actually eat rocks. So we're not saying Whole Foods will win, but they may have a good argument that rocks are indigenous.

Joel Osteen was back to preaching the word of God Sunday after belatedly opening his megachurch to victims of Harvey flooding ... but not before clearing his name (again).

Joel's Sunday service at Lakewood Church -- the first since massive flooding in Houston and backlash he received for how he handled it -- was packed with thousands of worshipers, with the pastor taking a moment to re-explain the delay in opening his doors to evacuees.

As we reported ... Joel claims his megachurch was always open to the public, despite videos and eyewitnesses saying otherwise. He blamed internal flooding for the delay, and said a security company might've been responsible for turning people away.

After addressing the controversy, Osteen went on to say Harvey was part of a divine plan, with things like ... "God knew that Houston could handle the hurricane," and "Quit being upset by something you can handle," He added, "God is in control of the universe and what he has spoken over your life will come to pass."

Burning Man Guy Runs Into Flames Dies From Injuries

2:47 PM PT -- 41-year-old Aaron Joel Mitchell succumbed to his injuries and died Sunday morning after running into the flames of a Burning Man statue ... according to the festival's organizers. Mitchell died after arriving to the burn center to which he was airlifted. His family was notified, and an investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of his death.

A man was airlifted to the hospital this weekend after he ran head-on into a sea of fire at the Burning Man festival ... and it was all caught on camera.

Here's how it went down ... a guy literally sprinted past fire crews Saturday night that were stationed around one of the giant burning man structures in Nevada, leaving him engulfed in flames. Firefighters leaped to the rescue and treated him on the scene.

He was then transported to an on-site medical facility, and later airlifted to a burn treatment center ... according to the festival's organizers.

Photos of the incident were captured, and they're pretty graphic. You see what appears to be a long haired man running full force into the blaze ... and then tripping and falling with fire rescuers close behind.

Unclear what his condition is as of Sunday.

Obama to Trump Tips on Being Prez ... Here's How to Keep America Great!

Barack Obama had some written words of wisdom for President Trump on the day of his Inauguration ... mostly on how to keep the country running smoothly in his absence.

Obama's penned parting letter has just been revealed ... the one he wrote on his way out for the then-incoming President, which he left in the Resolute desk of the Oval Office for Trump to find later.

In the letter, Obama tells Trump to help people less fortunate than both of them, by doing "everything we can (to) build more ladders of success for every child and family that's willing to work hard." Yep, that's a typo on Barack's part. Still, it's a nice thought.

Obama also tells Trump to lead by example and action among the international community, and to respect the democratic institutions of the Office of President -- which, he reminds Trump, is only temporary.

And finally, Obama suggests making time for family to get Trump through the rough patches -- ending with an offer of help anytime Prez 45 might need it.

Houston rapper Lil' Flip thinks Donald Trump's haters need to spend less time dogging the Prez and more time pitching in with Hurricane Harvey relief.

As you know ... critics blasted Trump's Texas visit for making a remark on crowd size instead of getting his feet wet and helping with rescue efforts.

Seems Flip has a soft spot for Trump, although he might want to check the status of local airports. Most were closed for days and are only now operating with limited service.

Hurricane Harvey Food Fight Evacuees and Volunteers Get Different Menus

The rescue shelters have literally been lifesavers for thousands of displaced people in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, but there has been some grousing over a disparity in the food served to the evacuees and the food served to the volunteers.

It seems there are bigger fish to fry, but we've been hearing some evacuees at the Convention Center complaining that they are served hot dogs, beans and chips, while the volunteers are getting pasta, rice, brownies, waffles and various beverages, included malts and shakes.

In fairness, there are thousands of evacuees and it's a lot harder and more expensive to serve them than the volunteers who are there, not because they have to be, but because they want to help.

We're told one reason for the disparity is that people are bringing food in from the outside specifically for the volunteers.

We want to make this clear ... everyone is appreciative of the efforts people have made to provide food, shelter and comfort to the thousands of people in desperate need.

Hurricane Harvey Rescues Go to the Dogs & an Armadillo!

Several 4-legged victims of Hurricane Harvey are now safe and sound -- and we got this video of rescuers scooping up stranded pups and one lost armadillo.

The 'dillo in this clip was stuck on a small patch of land in a flooded Houston neighborhood Thursday ... when he was captured by PETA's crew and returned to safety.

We're told the team arrived Tuesday night, and has been working 'round the clock to find pets that were most likely left behind when families had to flee for their lives.

So far PETA's seen dogs in flooded yards, and some left crated inside homes. The Humane Society of the United States also has its people patrolling, and found several cats inside homes.

Donald Trump I'm Giving $1 Mil to Hurricane Relief

President Trump is pledging $1 million of his own cash toward the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the donation Thursday, but it's still up in the air where exactly the money will go. Sanders said the President wanted reporters to help him decide which organization would maximize the impact of his funding.

Sanders cited the WH Press Corps' research skills and solid coverage of the disaster.

Good time to take a break from the fake news insults.

Hurricane Harvey Telethon Bun B Says Trump Not Invited, Unless ...

President Trump will not get an invite to appear in the Hurricane Harvey telethon, unless he's there with the former presidents -- especially Barack Obama -- in a gesture of unity ... so says telethon organizer Bun B.

The legendary Houston rapper tells TMZ, "Putting Trump on by himself would send the wrong message and people wouldn't buy the sincerity of it," adding, "After what he did in Charlottesville, he's not a symbol of unity and it would rub people the wrong way."

Bun B says he'd like Trump on the September 12 telethon -- which will be broadcast on CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX from 8-9 PM -- but only in 2 configurations. He thinks putting all the former POTUSes together -- "all of whom have had their issues" -- would show unity.

Even better, Bun B says, would be Trump and Obama alone, standing shoulder-to-shoulder. It would telegraph that 2 men embroiled in deep conflict could come together for a noble purpose.

But Bun made it clear, Trump's not delivering a message alone, saying, "We don't need a teleprompter President."

We got the "Seinfeld" star leaving Craig's and he says it's too soon for scientists to pin Harvey on global warming. He explains what it would take to prove it ... for him, at least.

O'Hurley's a longtime conservative, and a Trump guy, so his stance isn't all that surprising. Of course, if he's looking for numbers ... we'd suggest checking the data on Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina, and the polar ice caps.

Troy Landry says nasty weather brought on by Hurricane Harvey can give new meaning to the phrase, "See you later, alligator" ... and it's not good.

The "Swamp People" star tells TMZ ... gators are unknown victims of rough weather along the coastlines, and the common dangers to people -- injury, displacement and even drowning deaths -- also apply to the reptiles.

Troy says the most common problem for gators is they're washed away from their natural habitat and end up on highways and in people's yards ... which then becomes dangerous for humans too.

The "Swamp People" star also tells us he's planning to go help Houston folks affected by the hurricane soon.

Rita Ora Lends a Hand in Houston

Rita Ora talked about pitching in on Hurricane Harvey relief, then walked the walk by chipping in at a donation center.

Rita was in Dallas and said early Wednesday she wanted to do something to help out before leaving Texas. Hours later, the singer was dressed down -- in t-shirt and sweats -- and filling boxes with donated items for evacuees.

A long list of celebs have given big money -- notably Leonardo DiCaprio donated $1 million, and Houston Texans star J.J. Watt's relief fund is well over $7 mil.

We don't know if Rita gave dough, but it's cool to see her giving the old-fashioned way -- time and effort.

Leo DiCaprio Opens Wide with $1 Million Donation For Harvey Relief

Leo DiCaprio is the winner in charitable donations for Hurricane Harvey relief ... he's just cut a check for $1 million.

Leo's foundation gave the money to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund ... it will be used for both short and long-term relief.

United Way says the entire amount will go to help victims of the epic storm.

This is the first donation to the newly established United Way fund to help victims of the hurricane.

A number of celebs have donated ... notably the Kardashian family gave $500k. Sandra Bullock also gave $1 million to the cause.

Hurricane Harvey Animal Owners Live with Pets To Comfort Them

Lisa Rogers is living in a leaky trailer on top of a hill so she can give comfort to one of her beloved rescue horses.

Lisa runs Amazing Grace Acres Equine Rescue & Rehab. Among her brood ... 12 horses, 2 donkeys, 1 mule, 1 pony, 1 potbellied pig, 22 cats and 3 dogs. All of the animals are with her as she tries to figure out her next move.

A significant portion of the rescue effort is now being devoted to saving and caring for displaced animals.

J.J. Watt Harvey Relief Fund Cracks $7 Million ... And He Ain't Done!!

J.J. Watt's relief fund for Hurricane Harvey victims just cracked $7 MILLION -- and he ain't stoppin' there!

Watt's crowdfunding campaign started with a target of $500K on Sunday ... and quickly climbed into the millions with generous donations from star athletes like Chris Paul.

Now, the Houston Texans star is steppin' it up even more -- setting a new goal of $10 million ... the same amount donated by Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander.

FYI, Watt shared his plans for the cash when he hit $6 mil -- saying his team is filling up semitrucks to distribute water, food and other supplies throughout Houston.
